~~Alternative HCG Plans~~ week of sept 5

thought i'd start a new thread for us, if that's ok?

after slow losses pretty much my whole round...i had a 1.2 loss yesterday and today i was down another full pound! yesterday was to be LDW, but i think i will keep going since i had another good drop. since i have met the minimum VLCD's, i can stop whenever. but i won't probably go longer than 30 days. today is VLCD22.

how are all y'all this fine morning!

Good morning everyone!! It's really nice today, cool and sunny. I plan on working in the yard if my headache goes away. Otherwise than that it will be just chilling. We are thinking of downsizing so I am in the process of cleaning closets. I might do some more of that today.

If the headache sticks around then it will be movies and reading. I haven't weighed for a few days, kinda scared to. If this weigh loss thing was easy, everyone would do it.

Of course it's okay! I'm glad someone took the initiative to start the new one this week. I feel a bit hypocritical doing it each week when I'm the roguest of the rogue around here. Maybe that makes me supremely qualified!?

Amazing losses! Wooohoooo! Keep "riding that wave," as (I think) Cathy said! See just how far you can get to shore. I'm glad to hear that Noah is doing so well! Good idea to slow him down for a while. You don't need any complications.

Liz, I'm sorry to hear you are still wrestling with HA's. What do you think you may be downsizing into? There are a lot of us on the verge or in the midst of doing that these days. When I move it will either be into an apartment or one floor of a multi-family home (lots of those in CT.) I'm leaning toward 1/2 of a two-family. That would be the closest thing to having my own place.

I am in week two of my HIGHLY experimental, personal plan. Still taking the pellets as usual but need to tweak what I'm doing somewhat. (See my journal thread if you want details. I think it's spelled out on the last page. If not, the second to the last page.) I have been "backed up" and so I'm taking MOM and mainly doing liquids today. But I'm running a protein deficiency and need to do a high protein day tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a very blessed day today, and a great week! Hugs to all!

Cheryl -- however rogue your plan, I bet mine is even more so! I am going to go check out your experimental plan now..... and thanks to Dazy for starting a new thread for the week.

I've been feeling pretty dragged out physically for the last few days, but think I may be on the upswing now. Shooting for a good week of zigzag calories with a number of low days in there..... I'd really like to budge this darn scale. Now very much on TOM (it FINALLY got started, after threatening for about 5 days) so I definitely won't bother weighing until I am over with that.

Speaking of really rogue plans, I've been wondering what would happen if I did the hhcg in a zigzag fashion, a bit like what Paula did... do like 4 or 5 days near-protocol with pellets, then a refeed without, and repeat? Might be worth a try...?

I think I am kinda doing what Paula did. I am doing JUDDD with my HCG on down days. So DD of 500ish calories, UD of 2300 (maintenance level calories), DD, UD, DD, etc... I am still in the first week so we will see what happens next week. weigh in on Friday for "comparison".... but there are no "dietary" restrictions on the calories, its whatever, within your window, so you can eat all veges or all carbs, but you have to stay in the calorie range. I am always so happy to eat the next day and not get stuck in the 500 every day.. I hope it works weight wise!!

Cathy -- I think you and I might be trying this experiment together -- except that I am thinking a few down days, and then a refeed for a day or two... let's see how it works for us!

I am pretty sure that I can't handle another round, even a short one, of p2 without refeeds, unless I give up workouts for the most part. I don't know that I am willing to do that.

Minimo, kind of the same thing, low days, followed by up days... (refeeds, same thing really right?)... so far, its going well, I hope it continues. I cannot, cannnot, cannot do P2... I dont have the willpower to starve and not exercise!!

I hope it works well for you, Cathy! I'm all for changing things up. Life is too short to be bored on the way to goal. Whatever we have to do in order to not give up somewhere along the way, it's gotta be better than giving up.

I was wondering what your response would be after reading you were going to go check my journal thread. I posted (today) the results of the first week. I'm tweaking it because one of the days just doesn't work for me. I'm not getting enough protein, too.

Goodnight, lovely ladies! Be safe and well and I'll see you all tomorrow.

Hi girls!!

Thanks for starting the week Dazy. And great job on your losses!! Glad Noah is doing so well. Hope the pathology report comes back w/ good news soon.

Mini and Cat - I'm JUDDDing , kinda', too. I'm not dosing w/ hhcg though, just going it alone. The hcg messes w/ my period too much and I dont' htink will help me too much. I've got to get a handle on it. Got a lot of travel coming up and need to find something that'll work w/ eating out too.

Cheryl-glad your plan is wokring. I'm all for experimenting .

Home from our fun getaway and hope the damage isn't too bad. Did a dilute tea to help get things moving since bernice has deserted me . I did a down day today, mostly GY. I had an up day yesterday, but not too crazy. Hope to come out breaking even tomorrow. We'll see. Need to do an up day so I can workout. Making it up as I go .

Interesting results, Cheryl -- I'm most curious to see how your experiment plays out as you continue.

Cathy... I'm with you regarding p2. If I really, genuinely thought it would get me where I want to be, I'd suffer through it -- no question about it.... but I have my serious doubts on that front.

Got in a weights workout this evening (triceps, biceps and abs) ... I am definitely not fully back up to par from whatever bug I've been fighting, as well as the fatigue from too many sleepless nights... my strength was shaky at best, but at least I got through it, and that feels good.

Hoping to be back to par soon .. in the mean time I will just do the best I can.

Julie -- I'm not at all sure about the hhcg, and whether it is worth using with the calorie/carb cycling, or not.

I think I am going to give it another try -- although you make a good point about the menstrual cycle part of the equation. My cycle is wacky enough without any help on that front.

I do think I am still leaning out... my arms are definitely looking leaner than they were a couple of weeks ago, and the muscles look more defined. Now, if my abs and my legs and most particularly my butt would just get with the program, I'd be in business.

Yeah, I did JUDDD but I also (mostly) did my weekdays plan. Worked pretty good at keeping me not too depleted, but would sometimes overdo the weekends.

My egg, cheese, and hamburger CD netted me a 1.6 loss so back in range.

We're having some super cool weather now. After 100 degree temps for weeks, we've had days with the highs below 90s. Feels great. Unfortunately high wind days and tons of fires in Texas right now. Nowhere near us though. We still need rain to keep things safe (I'm pretty sure it's too late for the crops).

precisely why i don't like eating late. up 0.4. and i used like 2 or 3 shakes of salt on my eggs....TOOOOO salty!! and they weren't even big shakes!! don't how i have come to be so sensitive to salt. not a good thing considering there are times we eat out frequently and we all know how restaurant food is. will push water today.

my boys have their first football game today at 4:30....if i don't eat on the drive to the game (over an hour away), it will be late before i eat again tonight. not gonna happen. so i think i will make a protein shake to drink on the way even if it will be 3 in the afternoon.....i'll save a some calories to have a cup of coffee with hh when i get home if i need it.

congrats on a successful CD paula!!

Well keep us updated Julie on how it works for you. Not sure if the HCG helps or not weight wise, but it does help the appetite a bit. I just finished my 2nd DD, (so 2 UD and 2 DD now) and am down another 1.4 this morning from 2 days ago...so about 3 lbs and the week is not up yet... so not too bad so far!! And I get to eat today!! Yeah!!

Dazy, dont stress too much. It will go away tomorrow!!

Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Dazy, I am so sorry that the report came back with terrible news. If they are sending it out for further testing, maybe it's because they aren't really sure? We will be praying our hearts out for you all. One good thing (if you can find a good thing about this) is that it occured in a place in his body where he was able to tell something was wrong. If it hadn't interferred with his ability to urinate, it could still be growing somewhere else in his body and who knows when it would have been discovered?

Peace to you.

Just wanted to let you know that we won't have to wait to get things moving....we will see the pediatric oncologist tomorrow...so thankful for that. Will update when we learn more about the game plan.

I'm humbled by all your thoughts, prayers, and support....thank you just doesn't seem adequate, but from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
