Down 0.2 lbs today, which means I'm essentially the same weight since I finished taking hCG 3 days ago! I'm so excited because I am eating so much fat/dairy and I was really worried. One day at a time, right?

Good luck to everyone--I hope you see stabilization in your P3!

dbunny, I could not stabilize in P4 in any of my prior three rounds. (I'm curious to see what happens this time--I'm going to stay in P3 for longer than three weeks if that's what it takes to remain stable, and then venture into P4 very slowly.) Everytime I added in anything made with flour, it was over (i.e., bread, pasta)

I read on another forum that several of the "old-timers" said they did stabilize in P4 a few pounds over their LDW, so I guess that's possible as well.

Good luck with your next round!

Hey Millenia--I have a love/hate relationship with South Florida, I lived in Kendall for 15 years but moved up to the West Sunrise/Weston areas for a specific school for my 2 youngest kids. Theres some things that bother me immensely about S.Florida, like the traffic and overcrowding, some people have major attitudes here, but it's not enough to make me wanna leave! I work in the beauty industry-im a skin/nail care therapist. Ive worked in the same spa for 3 years now and have gotten close with most of my regular clients, i would even consider them "friends". I still keep in touch w my Miami clients too from when i worked down there in the same salon for 10 years--lol.
What part of the Miami area does your family live?

My weight is up yet .6 again *sigh* oh well. At least I'm fairly stable at this weight, and the only way I seem to be able to get it down into my Adjusted LIW is P2++ which I'm working on again

I still am barely keeping the 100 lost but not by much.

Add a little vanilla, add a little cinnamon if you like, and whip it up. It's like pudding and it's very good. I put mine back in the fridge and dole it out a little at a time. It's very rich and good.
Thanks SO much for writing this out! I FINALLY have a recipe that I can follow to try this!

So, I'm going to try to relax more this P3, although truthfully I do live for seeing what my weight is in the morning (this is the perfect diet for those of us who are obsessed!)
Starch--another no-no. Careful with this too!

~~
My preventative cd on Tuesday netted me only a 1.3 pound loss (down to 0.1 above LDW) but I suspect I am retaining water from yoga, lifting weights (session 2 this morning) and the endless TOM from he!! (new IUD and this has been going on non-stop for FIVE WEEKS!!!! ) STOP already for pete's sake! Sheesh!

Last night I went to a concert and a seafood restaurant for dinner beforehand. I ordered something that sounded like a steamed/grilled seafood platter from the menu description (crab claws, shrimp, fish). To my absolute horror when it arrived, everything, with the exception of the crab claw, was BATTERED and fried. Well, at this point we were running late so I didn't have much choice but to eat it and I had a WTH moment and ate about half of the fries that came with it. I figured, let's just put this whole P4 thing to the test, shall we? I was on the fence about drinking last night but this actually decided it for me--carbs PLUS alcohol = double-trouble for me. So no booze. I had an AMAZING time anyway, dancing and rocking my head off--it was a great show!

And this morning...I was up a little from my carbfest (1.2 pounds) but still in my window, NOT hungover, and pleased that I was able to "indulge" in "normal people" food (although frankly it wasn't that good) without spinning out into a carb binge. I am also happy to truly find that a good concert doesn't need alcohol to make it fun and that I can choose when I drink--I don't "have" to just because others are. This WOE is really teaching me to keep an eye on my weight and take my medicine (in the form of Mr. Scale) when I do eat outside of my plan. And it's helping me prioritize and THINK about drinking--because it really does impact my weight and my health, in general.

In other fun news, I got some bloodwork back. My thyroid levels are EXACTLY where they need to be. My fasting blood glucose is awesome at 84. My B12, D, and iron are not just in range but OPTIMAL. My cholesterol numbers are wonderful at 162 total, 73 HDL, 77 LDL, 12 VLDL--triglycerides are excellent at 60. Anyone that says a high fat diet is bad for your cholesterol or just in general, can kiss my size 6...well, you know! My electrolytes are a little low but sodium and potassium are easy to fix. On the whole I am very pleased!

I'm off work today (sorta) to sleep late after the concert and get some contractor stuff done at the house. But tomorrow is FRIDAY! Yay! So I'll be back to regular workouts etc. then. That is, IF I am allowed in my shower! Otherwise, it's spongebath-city for me!

Way to go Shelby!!

Does P4 have the chance for the 2 day thing like P2 does? Hopefully not!!

I've been really busy and have not had time to check in much since yesterday morning. After briefly enjoying virgin territory of 194.4 yesterday morning, a company dinner of 1 piece of bruschetta, a huge salad, chicken piccata, and some cantaloupe for dessert put me back at my LDW of 197.0 this morning. Today I ate Fage and Kashi for breakfast, a pound of bing cherries for lunch (first time all year that I got to enjoy them and figured might as well since fall is almost here and they ARE my favorite fruit) and more Fage followed by an orange for dinner.

I'm about to have a cup of Smooth Move since Bernice is MIA yet again, and go to bed. Sorry I have not been around. Hope all is well with everyone! C'Marie... extra hugs to you!

@Shelby - wonderful news about your bloodwork/tests! Wowsa!

Also, I wanted to say about the coconut milk - make sure it is the FULL FAT version. And be aware, not all cans set up as stiffly as others. I got the best ones of mine @ a little Asian grocery store. The other one I got from Trader Joe's didn't set up quite as good, so it was a little watery, but still pretty good. That's why I emphasize making sure you let it set out and settle some before you put it in the fridge.

We did all varieties of No Sugar Added ice cream. The Blue Bunny Brand and Edy's are the best. We had no sensitivities to dairy or SF stuff though, as long as that's true in your case, I'd give it a try after you've been in p3 for at least a week.

My Allergies are kicking my booty. I haven't been posting much 'cause , honestly, the allergy meds I can take make me a space cadet. It's hard to string two thoughts together.
So glad for you guys starting to stableize.! I dropped a little more this morning, not sure why-- I'm afraid I havn't had enough calories this week. That's something I usually try to stay on top of because I don't want to slow my metabolism down again. I hope the weeds stop blooming and the mold stops...............sporing? soon so I can think, we're supposed to start school back Monday have a great day ladies!

Up 1 lb today, but still a pound under my LDW. So very happy with that! I ate a Fage with frozen raspberries as a snack after dinner, but I think it was a bit too late, and I felt way too full afterwards, so that may be a factor as well.

Stabilizing so far, although today is only day 4 of P3! But pretty happy that I'm not gaining exponentially despite eating heartily until I am full. Such a great feeling! Especially since I didn't experience this the last two rounds.

Good luck to everyone! Enjoy your Friday!

Up 2lbs today! Eek!! My eating schedule was all messed up yesterday and I stupidly licked around my daughters ice cream cone so it didn't drip. Yep wasn't thinking on that one. Oh well still in my window only up .7 from LDW so I'm good. I've been up since 6am and I'm dressed in a new outfit(size 12 pants!!!) and having a wonderful day! Hope everyone has a good weekend!!

I am up 1lb today but still sitting in my window. I didn’t like the results of the GY CD. It got me down, but it’s as if it gets you down due to lack of substantial food. And then you bounce back up a bit when you eat normal food the next day. That wasn’t the case with steak days for me, so I’ll stick with those going forward.

I’m still in my window and pretty much have been throughout P3 and P4. I’m going to ween off of the scale and try to weigh every 3 days or so (unless I eat something different). With working out and lifting, it’s not good to drive yourself crazy with the scale. For me, it’s 1lb differences and they really don’t matter. So I’m going to try and stop!

Millenia- Have you ever done a metabolic type testing? I bet if you did you'd find you're a protein type! That's what I am (others can be carbohydrate type or mixed). Because of this, I failed miserably when I tried to do an apple day in P2! By noon my blood sugar was in the toilet and it brought on a migraine (this is the same exact thing that happened to me when I tried the Master Cleanse with the lemonade and maple syrup a few years back). Basically, my body NEEDS high quality protein to function.

I already know a GY day would probably not sit well with me so going into P3, I know if I need a correction day it will be with meat of some sort (even though GY has protein in it).

I LOVE Isabel De Los Rios' book The Diet Solution--that's where I took the metabolic test to find out I was a protein type

Good morning! My S,E,&C day only netted a .6# loss, but... that's ok. I think that I was really dehydrated yesterday when I started my CD (plenty of wine the night before), so it makes sense I may still be retaining some water. I had over 100oz yesterday... I'm a tad bit disappointed, but I'll take what I can get. I'm making lasagna with zucchini and summer squash instead of noodles today.

17 days till my next P2...

Morning peeps! Good luck with the CDs today.

I ate "light" yesterday (1270 calories) was down .2 today, exactly one pound above LDW.

Trying to eat light today as well, since tomorrow I'll be loading. Want this next round to have my starting weight in range.

I think you have to order it online. Honestly, it LOOKS like a scam or an infomercial-type product but it is truly one of the best "diet" books I have found and it's how I plan to eat in P4. I also LOVE Dr Josh Axe's "Real Food Diet" cookbook--just got it last week and have read every recipe and can't wait to try them out!

I'm up slightly but not bad, considering I had a little bit of starch at the chinese buffet I had out with my business partner. (In P4) I also had a little fat-free natural yogurt late last night. I am trying to keep dairy to 2-3 times a week.

Glad to see everyone else doing well! Yay!!!! It warms my heart to read all about your successes. Really it does, even if things aren't going as perfectly for me as I'd like them to. It's the best "diet" I've ever been on and I think the best thing going. I believe in this process even through the struggles

Glad you had a great time fully sober!! Such a nice realization. I'm glad your fried food test didn't do much harm. I know that feeling of "such a waste" when you indulge a bit and it's just not that good. Wish I'd "spent" my cals/carbs on something yummier!! So wonderful about your blood test results!! I never got in to get my blood drawn this week. Went Thurs am (early, fasting!!) and there were literally 12 people in line, outside the building, waiting for them to open!! W/ 2 flebotomists working that's about a 2 hour wait!! So, I'll have to wait another week until we're back from CO and I can set an appt.

Millenia-I'm w/ you on the daily weighing. I'm going to stop that (I'll be away next week w/o a scale ). It's hard when you're lifting as the water retention messes w/ your #'s. You're doing great!! KUTGW!!

Marie- - you're still an hcg weightloss rockstar, by anyone's standards!! Hope your weight settles down better for you.

I'm trying calorie cycling or JUDDD. My short term plan for JUDDD is: to maintain my losses, reset my metabolism a bit, keep going w/ the weight training to build muscle strength and reshape, and decrease my sensitivity to carbs. I have to say, only a week in, I'm maintaining while eating more carbs than I have in ages!! . Since I will be out of town next week I plan to try the same basic plan. My DD's may not be that low since I won't be at home, and can't keep track of things as easily. But, I will at least TRY to do DD's in between my UD's. I decided to do 3 DD's, 3 UD's and 1 mid day.

Sorry I haven't been around as much lately. Btw homeschool, packing for our CO trip Sunday, shuttling my kids to their sports, and working I haven't been around as much. I didn't even get my 2nd workout in!! Have a good night all.

^^^ This!! Definitely by MY standards!!

Down 2 lbs below LDW, my body seems to be tolerating the Kashi and added fruits just fine.

Forgot to mention that at the company dinner Wednesday night, I had some eggplant dish that was half parmesan, half lasagna: noodles and breading. I ate a small portion but since I had the bruschetta on toast, I didn't want to push it by eating more. I ate two HUGE plates of food but it was mostly salad and chicken. I even had three pieces of Italian sausage and a whopping portion of buttered green beans and fruit, and the scale barely has blipped!

I went grocery shopping last night with the specific thought of buying something off plan but honestly, my tastes have changed SO much. There was not a carb or sugar or processed food that appealed to me. I ended up buying 4 containers of Fage, cheese, bacon, and beef. LOL. Had Fage with SF peanut butter and SF jam for dinner.

LILAC!!! You are rockin P4 too!

Your post is encouraging. This is day 1 of P4 for me. I am ending P3 2 pounds below my LDW. I've been walking 3 miles daily and for myself, I think that has really helped. I am concerned about P4, but, reading your post has given me hope. Like you, my tastes and desires have changed greatly. I will be starting some weight training on Sept. 20 and I know I may encounter problems then. One day at a time!

Julie I am very curious about the JUDD program. I wish you all the best. I like the idea of the cycling especially while weight training. Have a wonderful trip to CO.

Marie, I believe that if you EASE into the starchy/sugary foods gradually, it is much easier to stabilize. But for me, I really don't crave them or want them, I am slowly incorporating them as part of the "I guess I have to if I want to reset my body" process since I don't want to teach my body to "diet" forever. I DO want the flexibility like if there is a special occasion and I want to indulge a little bit. But I think my definition of "indulge" has totally changed thanks to HCG and such a long round 1.

I know many were like "move on already" when I was doing my P2 but I really, REALLY needed it to overcome my food demons. Those behaviors and food preferences were not learned overnight, after all. I am really glad I stuck to it as long as I did because I truly believe it has helped me in P3 and P4. The old me probably would have done like I have done on Atkins in the past, stuck with it long enough to get results, but then revert back to the same crappy eating habits, and therefore probably would have gained the weight right back.

I have always had a HUGE appetite but I have learned I can still eat A LOT, to the point of being stuffed, WITHOUT the weight gain. For me, it's been not HOW MUCH I eat, but WHAT I eat, the most valuable lesson this diet has taught me!

Ack. Up 1.2 pounds today, after eating a bit late last night. Bernice needs to show up, so I'll make an offering of magnesium because that gal just loves magnesium. But I'm at my LDW, so it's not so bad.

We went out to dinner last night and I had a perfect P3 meal:

Appetizer: Bresola with olive oil, parmesan cheese and arugula
Dinner: Sauteed scallops with artichokes, haricot vert in pesto olive oil
Dessert: coffee with heavy cream

Delicious!
