Extra credit for staying on plan while traveling!! Good job!

Here, down 2 pounds -- already mourning the slow disappearance of strawberries (what will I do all winter when I can't go get a container of strawberries every other day? TJ's frozen berries are fine for a slushy, but just not the same . . . )

Good Morning! R2VLCD17 here and I'm down .4! I opened a new bottle of Intermountain hhcg pellets that I bought from Netrition recently last night. I had been using the same bottle that I bought in June when I did my first round and even though the bottle says it's good for a 40-day supply - it definitely lasted well beyond that. My first round was forty-nine days and it's lasted well beyond sixty. I was wondering if I was ever going to use it all up. I didn't experience any hunger or cravings on my first round and have been doing fine on this one so far until last night. I was craving cheese omelettes for some weird reason, so I opened a new bottle and voila! - the hunger and cravings went away.

Congratulations to everyone and make it a great day!

I've got about six more days this round and then on to P3.

Have a good day everyone!

I don't see a protein in your supper. Is that intentional?

Bring it day 8! The weather here in Texas has finally cooled off enough to take a walk or bike ride so I will be out enjoying the weather with my boys. Not going to overdo it because I have not been very active prior to beginning this protocol...all that is going to change once I am not carrying around this extra weight though!

You're doing great. KUTGW! I still have a ways to go before I see 120s again, but it's still possible for this round. I haven't been below 132 since 1993!

Wiggle room is good! I hope you have a good experience in P3. I'll be over there in two weeks from tomorrow.

I know what you mean about fresh strawberries. I can still get them here, but they aren't as good and the price keeps inching upward. Good loss!

Good morning all (ya'll)
4.7 lbs down so .5222.... lbs a day slow but steady wins the race..
(did you ever think we could call 1/2 a lb a day slow???)
yes no protein w/ supper is intentional. I eat 7 oz with lunch then none with supper (helps me make it thru the day)

I was so afraid when I was 129.8 that I would see 13something again but I am down another 1 lb. I was very active yesterday and wondered how it would affect me. I did not season or salt the one meal I ate. I just was not hungry. Can that be because I was using fat stores and did not need too? I knew I needed some protein so I forced myself to eat some raw ground 96% lean buffalo and I slept great, have no soreness, or light headed-ness. I plan to make myself eat today on a regular schedule but it has been difficult. I don't crave or like fruit or starches (I don't even know what a melba stick is). I do not feel weak or fatigued so think I am doing OK and it is working for me. Love to hear your thoughts, criticism (constructive of course), opinions...

Here is my results from first week:

Kendra
Load1: 138.6
Load2: 141.0
VLCD1: 139.6
VLCD2: 138.6
VLCD3: 136.0
VLCD4: 134.2 TOM
VLCD5: 132.0 TOM
VLCD6: 131.0 TOM
VLCD7: 129.8 TOM
VLCD8: 128.8 TOM

Today is VLCD9

Menu Plan for today:
B: Yerba Mate w/Stevia
S: 2 Radishes
L: Raw 96% lean ground buffalo
S: Sauerkraut
D: Raw scallops in lime juice <---a favorite

Yes, Intermountain hhcg pellets are the best in my opinion! I've never used the drops and don't have a reason to. Glad you like them! My old bottle was still good because they have a shelf life of two years, but it was time for a new bottle and I got well beyond my money's worth from the first bottle. For me, they really do kill my hunger and cravings.

Congratulations on your loss!

Hello! Tomorrow is day two of loading for me. I had a very successful round earlier this summer. I felt I was in the right place now to do a second round.

If you are trying to eliminate salt, you might want to check the label on that sauerkraut. Even the low-sodium kind has some salt and the regular sauerkraut has a lot of salt, in my experience. Nice loss!

It really does help to wait until the time feels right, or at least I know it helped me! I am having a much smoother round this time than I did on my first one and I think being in the right frame of mind is half of it.

Checking in with no change today, but ate cod for dinner yesterday and it was way too salty, so I think this is water retention. If so, the scale should show it over the next two days.

My husband has asked to be allowed to eat the rest of the cod I have on hand, and he is welcome to it! It used to taste sweet to me and now I can't stand the salt in it. My tastes HAVE changed over time on this program, and this is one of those changes.

Hi all --

I had a slip yesterday -- it was a Corn Nut disaster! Those things are like heroin, I swear! I bought a package from Whole Foods for my son, who loves salty/crunchy things. Well, guess who else loves salty/crunchy things? Yes, that would be me. I ate "just one" -- and that led to me eating almost the whole container . . .I woke up from a Corn Nut trance like one of those winos lying in the alley wondering why she is wearing her underwear on her head.

The good news: it's clean -- nothing but corn, oil, and salt.
The bad news: Corn's not protocol, oil is for SURE not protocol, my estimate is 600 calories of damage.

I did penance by drinking an extra 50 ounces of water last night and skipping dinner, and today I'm still down a pound! If the dreaded two-day effect doesn't appear, I may have dodged the bullet!

Note to self: NEVER buy those again!

Primetime Nightline had a special on last night that validated a therapists in her treatment of eating disorders. Yes, food can be more addictive than drugs and alcohol and the difference with those are you can decide not to be around alcohol and drugs whereas you have to eat something. When making that decision to what to put in your mouth for nutrition it gets complicated to work through that addiction. They did a brain scan on the therapists while she sipped a milkshake and her brain (addiction and craving regions) lit up like crazy. She had not had sugar in 18 years and said that she got really ill that night and will never take a bite of chocolate or sugar again. I watched Fathead the movie and learned to appreciate the mechanisms in the body that lead to cravings for more poor food choices and their snowball effect.

Stay strong and get back on protocol, you can do it. Just say no to corn nuts

Best wishes,

Kendra

I watched Fathead the movie and learned to appreciate the mechanisms in the body that lead to cravings for more poor food choices and their snowball effect.
I totally believe in this phenomenon. This is why, even on traditional non-HCG LCing, staying on plan begets more staying on plan (and the reverse). You can be cruising along, losing weight eating steak/salad/bacon/chicken etc. etc., and one chocolate chip cookie can suddenly turn into a four month backslide. There is some kind of physiological and emotional reaction to these foods (whatever your trigger is . . . whether it's Nacho Doritos or jellybeans or your mom's mashed potatoes) that is really powerful.

Congrats to all the losers. I lost 2 pounds since last week down to 163, trying to get to 158 before vacation and leave 158-160 window while on p3 which starts next week. I do have a question, does anyone eat the eas carb control bars you can buy at grocery store while on vacation, was hoping to pack something, to keep eating out less costly.

thanks, Mary

I am lucky not to have a sweet tooth or care for bread, potatoes, starches or processed foods at all. My addiction.....cheese. I know luckyyyyyyy! I do understand and feel for those that have the addiction to the really bad stuff. I do like having red wine and occasionally gin (or other clear liquors) but I hope to really moderate those once I get to my goal weight. Again lucky I don't care for beer either. I think it is the movie Fathead that has a great lesson on how the body reacts and stores fat and then continues to make you crave and eat more sugars and starches. It can be streamed through Netflix or viewed on Hulu I think. Great documentary.

Corn Nuts are Evil...I love it!

trying to get my weekly post in time

Hi Ladies,

Just wanted to put in my update as I've not had time to post all week. R1P2D (do I count ALL days since loading or count the day since I began P2)
So far I'm down 11lbs since starting P2 on 8/31. This week has been slow but steady but in a stall as of this morning. I am still proud but kinda feel like i'm missing the beginnings somewhere. Such as...

what veggies can I have and NOT have again ?
what size melba toast ?
I'm really seasoning things up a bit, is it too much ?
Should I replace meat with eggs this early on?
what cam I take for constipation ?

Am I thinking too much ?

A VIQ ( very important question) ... I have been stating " i've lost a certain amount in a certain amount of days. But should I only count the days that P2 started? I am trying to sort my daily average. I think all the information overload the past 11 days is starting to pull me away from the very basics.

Reason why I have so many questions is because between 1954 and now, there was no coke zero, health food stores offering so many items i've never heard of, no soy milk, none of the mix of seasonings you find in 1 jar now, so many items that you can get now that are low fat, low sugar etc.. that Dr. Simeon never knew about as they didnt exist. So.. how do you find variety without jeopardizing the consumption that he intended you have ? Yes, the easiest answer would be, just stay very basic as he created. However, what if it is ok to use alot of these new millineum products ? Back in 54 we didn't have computers at home to learn so much. There was no google etc. So what is the best way to proceed ? Do we need to investigate the make-up of each item to compare it to what he allowed ? Yes this is deep but I'm one of those persons that wants to know it all and get the best out of it.

I think I'm thinking too hard
