Opinions for dh
How detrimental do you think it would be if dh moved to P3 after 15 days of P2? He has lost what he wanted to and is worried about losing too much. I think we are on vlcd12 or 13.
Veterans....your input? |

I think the manuscript says that if you meet your goal prior to 21 days you should still eat the same food but increase your calories.
For the HCG to work effectively you are supposed to stay on it a minimum of the 21-23 days. |

If he goes off earlier than 23 effective doses the weight is likely to be regained. Begin adding more calories of the very same P2 foods, nothing else, no fat, etc. Simply up the protein so the calories immediately go to 800 for a day or two, then 1000, and up a bit until he is losing no more weight. We've had to do this in my family for a person who was losing too fast and was done. Very effective. Helps stabilize somewhat that way too, before even hitting P3.

the thing is, he doesn't monitor calories at all. if i had to guess i bet he eats 1000-1200/day, possibly more as he eats a lot of protein as it is, and still losing anywhere from 0.6-2lbs/day.
ok, i will just have him keep going then as he is till 23 days. and if starts to get too low, i'll have him up cal's even more. thanks for your input. Last edited by dazygyrl; 08-28-2011 at 03:35 PM.. |
