Exercise in P3
Does anyone have any recommendations about easing into exercise in P3 or jumping right in with both feet?
![]() I want to build my stamina for my trip, but I don't want to shoot myself in the foot either, ya know?! |

I'll start back as soon as I hit P3. I will be interested to hear what folks say about that too. I can't wait any longer...I miss that too much

I do walking, stretching and abs/core. I don't want to do too much where my body struggles with water and such. I only do the abs/core every other day to let the muscles rest. I don't know if that helps you but good luck. You will love, love, love P3!!!

Before I started HCG I was doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and it's pretty intense. Hmmmmmm....definitely have to think about the water thing.
Thanks!!!![]() |

I gave myself about 10 days of P3 before I started doing stuff other than what I was doing in P2 (light cardio). Your weight fluctuates the most in those days so it helps if you can get used to seeing your weight bounce around a bit before adding the complication of water retention from exercise. Just my 2 cents...

Shelbyla, that is a great point. I started very slow with adding a little walking for the first week or so. I then added some stretching and then abs. I didn't jump into a lot at once. I have been very stable. I am on P3D69 with no CDs needed.

I think the biggest problem with exercise in p3 is the water fluctuations... I've been working out hard for many months now, and I still jump up a good 3 lbs after a really intense workout...
If you are trying to make a 2 lb window stick, that can be confusing. I agree that walking and the less intense strength exercises are probably a good choice for starting. |

I'm really having trouble waiting. I need to firm badly. I'm in my last week of P2. I started light, 15 minutes, 5 lb, strength training a couple days ago and I am up about a pound. If I keep it up will the water retension work itself out and go away? Or should I just stop until I get well into P3.

I couldn't even do my normal walking for an hour or would either stall or gain. If I was you, I would wait it out and slowly add it in P3.
