My standard list is:
Chicken breast 96% lean hamburger tenderloin of beef sirloin tilapia egg whites lettuce tomatoes cukes celery frozen spinach asparagus cabbage onions garlic I like wasa crisp instead of melba or grissini 20 cal per cracker frozen strawberries and the smallest apples I can find lemons herbal teas blueberry is the favorite canada dry seltzer water or la croix water power ade zero for the electrolytes flavored coffee beef and chicken low sodium broth lots of canned low sodium tomatoes Walden farm products dressing carmel dip etc. Netron has these Thats about it. I have a scale that I use to weight all of the meats and veg and just buy some glad containers to prep ahead. I also prep and weigh all of the meat and put in baggies. Good luck, Ashley |

The strict version doesnt include egg whites, I know theyre low calorie and dont include the yolk but thats just me. Walden farms stuff isnt either. Nothing against you Ashley I just dont want a newbie to be misinformed on whats on the strict diet list. Last edited by LaraSuzz; 08-26-2011 at 11:43 AM.. |

You do need to address the salad dressing/dip issue, though. Plain lettuce isn't very fun.
For a dipping sauce I like: Tbl Soy sauce or Bragg's aminos Tbl lemon juice a little liquid stevia For dressing, I sometimes do lemon juice mixed with vegetable broth and spices (onion powder, garlic powder, dry mustard, thyme or oregano, and pepper flakes and a little salt and pepper) So, remembering to check labels for sugars, starches and gunk: veg broth or bouillon cubes chicken broth or bouillon cubes (or the stuff to make your own broth) favorite seasonings vinegar or lemons (I like Bragg's apple cider vinegar with the mother) boneless chicken breast fish or shrimp if you like it, tilapia is easy to get in IQF, very handy. some sirloin but not too much (not every day IMO) some 95 or 96% lean hamburger, but not a lot romaine or other lettuce cukes celery radishes! tomato, I like fresh but some people use organic canned tomatoes for recipes, too. frozen or fresh spinach or beet greens asparagus (I'm using frozen right now) good-sized apples grapefruit strawberries (Frozen is fine, too if there's no added sugar) oranges are allowed but not good this time of year whatever starches your plan allows. I can have melba toast or grissini bread sticks. If you must have milk in your coffee, get a small container and have 1 TBL per day. Any kind will do, skim, whole, whatever. Maybe some Perrier or Pelagrino water as a treat Maybe some nice herbal tea for a treat A sweetner.... liquid stevia, truvia, or the one your plan allows. Good luck on your plan. Oops, forgot cabbage and onion. Cooked cabbage and onion is very satisfying, either on its own or with very lean ground poultry or beef added to it. Last edited by emel; 08-26-2011 at 12:36 PM.. |

In her previous threads she was questioning rouge ways of the diet. Eggs are on the strict diet by the way, I just do not prefer the yolks in eggs. She also was asking about fat free dressing in a previous thread so I mentioned the WF dressings to help her out. Nothing against you Laura, but there are other options that work as well. ![]() |

I agree with Lara. Reading Pounds and Inches (I have read and listened to it multiple times) is the way to go especially when you are a “HCG virgin”. I say that as someone who’s still doing my first round. If you are doing Rogue, that’s different and there are more options. Good luck! I can’t wait to hear how it goes!
About eggs being “allowed” on Protocol…P&I says “Many patients ask why eggs are not allowed. The contents of two good sized eggs are roughly equivalent to 100 grams of meat, but unfortunately the yolk contains a large amount of fat, which is undesirable. Very occasionally we allow egg - boiled, poached or raw - to patients who develop an aversion to meat, but in this case they must add the white of three eggs to the one they eat whole.” I am definitely a Protocol girl, but I can't wait to hear about your journey. You will do great!!!! Good luck!!! |
