Thank you SO much, sweet friends! It is amazing to me how quickly I've grown to thoroughly TREASURE you people! Your battles are mine now. It is just so special to know you and share a little piece of cyberspace realty with you.

I've had a wonderful day. I spent the afternoon with my high school aged singers in the theatre program, having a vocal workshop to prepare them for their upcoming auditions for the musical I'll be directing this fall. There isn't anything I'd rather have been doing, nor anyone I'd rather have been doing it with than these talented, vibrant kids. They did have cake....which was...difficult for me to turn down, but I did. It was just so...me...and boy...I WANTED IT. It was the kind with confetti sprinkles inside it, with fluffy pink icing and sprinkles on top of that. Pink AND sprinkles...well...if you hung out with me for long, you'd understand they know me REALLY well! They were so so so sweet. My daughter made me wear a tiara all day and matching earrings...that look pretty much like chandeliers! Ha...the kids thought that was really fun...and so did I. If you're 54 years old, you might as well dress like a Disney Princess on your birthday. Eccentric is cool when you're old as dirt

thank you! I continue to have a lovely day. We did the presents and stuff last night. My girls bought me two pair of heels and a bunch of earrings. I told them I didn't want clothes for another 6.5 lbs. Tonight I'm kind of just chillin...amazing how much fun that can be! I had a couple of extra bites of beef tonight. I had a filet that measured closer to 4 oz than 3.5...and I ate the whole thing. I only had time for one piece of fruit today...so I probably didn't even do a decent job of cheating!

I'm having a treat of a Diet orange soda tonight also.

Oh...and I love our Jessica, Queen of Verbs. It is such a gift to have met someone (in such a place as this!!!) with whom I share so much common context...and having thought about it quite a lot...every single thing that is important to me, she just "gets". Stuff that good doesn't happen by coincidence!
