Would love some planning help please :)
Ok, so I am on R1 D15, which means if I only do the minimum round, I move into P3 on Aug 30th. If I do P3 for 3 weeks, I will be done on Sept 20th.
I am going to a wedding in Cancun on Oct 15-17th. Is it possible for me to FL that weekend and start another round then? (that will mean 3 1/2 weeks on P4 from Sept 20th-October 15). Granted, I don't know much about P4 and need to do some more reading, but that would work according to Dr. S, right? TIA

I want to help, but I don't actually understand what you're asking. What is FL? It sounds like you're asking if you can start another round after 3 weeks of P3 and 3-1/2 weeks of P4, in which case, why not? I don't see why you wouldn't be able to since that sounds totally on-plan, but can you clarify your question?

Okay, now I'm guessing that FL has to do with loading (fat load?) but I have never seen that term used before, so I'm not sure.
At any rate, it sure sounds like you are planning for a by-the-book round, so it sounds great to me. Is your concern because you'll be extending P4 by a few days? That's FINE! Now, if I've completely misinterpreted your question, please ignore my response ![]() |

I am all for eating whatever I want in Cancun...but I was hoping to lose 10-ish more pounds before going there, but if I do the plan I mentioned in my OP, I will be in Cancun at however much I weigh at the end of my P2 round.

I don't find that I can eat whatever I want on P4. I can build my meals on good foods and then include some more dubious choices, though. For loading, the only problem I see would be overindulging in carbs during the load days on vacation, and thereby setting yourself up for a potential difficult P2 because of the carb excess in loading. I do better in P2 when I focus on protein and fat for loads. YMMV. As for losing more weight before your trip, since your current plan includes 3 1/2 weeks of P4 with loading on your trip, you could do two things: 1) add a half a week to your P2 and push back the dates of P3 and P4 to make them exactly 3 weeks each, and load during your trip (don't forget to pack your hcg. I did that once. Duh.) 2)Stay on P2 for a week and a half or two weeks longer than planned, so that you'll be in the middle of P4 during your trip. Can't go hog wild, but I think you'll be able to eat in a way that lets you have a good time while maintaining your loss. One last thought: Loading on a travel day is not fun for me because airport food is usually carby junk and it's hard to graze. I like loading days filled with guacamole and nuts and cheesy eggy dishes, all hard to get in an airport. |

Gotcha. We have different strategies for loading, so my ideas are not on point. Have a great time on your trip!

One more thing to mention is that you MAY try to lose weight while you are in P4 as long as you have stabilized well in P3. It's only P3 where you shouldn't try to lose more weight. Reducing carbs or calories or increasing exercise in P4 to take off a few more pounds is fine. (or so I've been told!)
