A little worried about P3
Well, today is my first day on P3. I kinda feel afraid to go without the drops, I guess because they helped so much. I have only lost a little less than 1 pound this last week, and I wondered if a person's body becomes acclimated to the HCG and builds up a tolerance.
I guess what scares me is the first 3 days without the drops on the VLCD. Is it really hard? I plan to stay very low carb during P3, 'cause that is what works the best for me under any circumstance. I am already looking forward to R2, this month can't go fast enough. Even though my losses are not as great as most every one else, I am happy. Between the drops and this forum, this is the first time any diet since Phen-fen actually helped me. (And the Phen-fen caused all manner of health problems for me, plus I was only skinny for 10 minutes after I got off of it.) ![]() Oh well, onward and downward... Chris |

My last days without the hcg went just fine. If you are doing the homeopathic, then you just wait 48 hours to eat P3. You will do fine. The very reason Dr Simeon's has you take those breaks are because your body can become acclimated to the hcg. He calls it immunity. It is good to have those breaks so you can eat properly for a while!!! Don't you miss eating fat??? I sure did!! And my salad yesterday was amazing--real dressing, cheese OMG!!!!! I missed those terribly on P2.
Good luck!!! |

This is your first day without the drops? If so, you will eat the same 500 calories per day...then switch to eating P3 style.
Take it slow....your body has become accustomed to the way you were eating. Too much - too soon and your body rebels. It may take a couple of days really get your appetite back. Read the P3/P4 thread and start getting a feel for what we go through and the issues/concerns/hints. You CAN do this. |

Don't worry about it. I went more than a week on P2 without losing anything!. Maybe the body does develop a tolerance I don't know. But maybe my body was preparing for my TOM. I wasn't losing days before my TOM and after. On the 3 day period without HCG...I still didn't feel hungry. After the 3 day period my hunger wasn't there that much. Every time I eat small foods I get full really fast. I still haven't gained any weight.

Thanks for the advice. I seem to be doing OK. I'm not ravenously hungry like I thought I'd be. I had scrambled egges this morning with "I can't believe its not butter" spray, and a small bunless hamburger on the side--it was heaven. I will be using the spray a lot, it's oil based but with 0 calories. I am looking forward to a big "real" salad this afternoon with grilled chicken and RANCH--oh, yum!
![]() I guess I'd better just keep weighing myself. I was still the same this morning, but I'll be a little nervous weighing tomorrow morning. I feel like I'm eating tons of food! Chris |

Hey, tomorrow is my first day, and I've already been worrying for days!
I am totally on this LDW of mine--same weight for 5 days straight. But what happens when I suddenly get more calories? I'm skeered! |

One good thing, though--this is my second vlcd with no pellets, and I'm not particularly hungry. Hunger was another thing I was worrying about! I made yesterday pretty much all protein, plus a little lettuce. Today, I am planning on eating my two starches because ya know, it'll be a while till I see those again! Hoping that doesn't trigger anything!!

I'm wondering the same thing as Dawn, and I hope I'm mis-reading your original post. If today is your first day without hcg, you are still in P2 and should not yet be eating P3 foods. You need to go 2 days (homeopathic) or 3 days (rx) without hcg, yet still eating 500 cals (some increase this slightly by adding a bit of protein depending on hunger) before you transition to P3.

Oh geeze louise.
I don't think I went much above 500 cals, but I guess I got carried away. Thanks for bringing me back to reality. I will be better than good tomorrow. Hope I haven't done too much damage. Doggone it.![]() Chris |
