Anyone starting this weekend?
Not new to hhcg. I did it under a doctor's plan about two years ago and lost weight but was unable to continue due to funds. I attempted it again last year with the drops, but due to a crazy work schedule and having to eat out a lot, I did not continue. This time, I am doing the Intermountain pellets from Netrition and am fully 100% committed to doing it by the book. I'm also allergic to shrimp so none of that for me. If I have to tweak it at all, I plan to still keep it within the calorie range and go by the book for the most part. The only exception is that I have to have my skin lotions because I have extremely dry skin. In any event, I have gained way too much weight and have got to change my wicked ways.
Anyways, my pellets should be here tomorrow. My 40th birthday is Friday and we have a friend's son's birthday party on Sunday. I figure I will use my loading days with the pellets as Saturday and Sunday. I'm so excited to be able to do this and from what I've read on the boards, I know if I stick to this 100%, I won't regret it. Anyone else starting this weekeend?Oh, and I will add my doctor's plan allowed up to 800 calories and this obviously will be less. That was two years ago. However, I am planning to sticking to the 500 calories though so wish me luck! I will need it! Last edited by ncgirl37; 08-16-2011 at 10:59 AM.. |

I'm right there with you! Loading this weekend. I lost 18 pounds doing this in January but didn't even try P3. Makes me sick thinking I worked so hard through P2 and then just started eating regular again. I won't make the same mistake this time!
Good luck to you!!! |

2nd LOAD DAY TODAY!
I tried the prescription HCG back in March (half heartedly) and still lost 14 lbs. I didn't have the money to go back to the dr., so here I am after regaining back the 14 lbs., but this time I'll be using the drops. I didn't lose my appetite with the injections, but I also did not do LOAD DAYS at all. I'm not even telling my family what I'm doing. They are so used to me trying something new each week, I'm sure they won't give it a thought.
Hopefully, with the support of you all I can make this happen. I'm the heaviest I've ever been, no self esteem, high blood pressure, etc. I can't even hardly look in the mirror anymore. I'm really praying this works for me.

Momof4boyz, I can totally relate. My doctor noticed this week when I went in to have her look at a mole that my bp was up. I asked her if I lost some weight, would that help and she said yes. Most of my weight is in my stomach and I have stick thin legs so I seriously look like I am pregnant! It's awful. Horrible for your self-esteem, so I have to do this and stick to it. I even hate when my husband touches my stomach. I am that self-conscious about it!

I'm in!
Spent the summer in P4 -- did great for the first half, and put on 8 pounds (ashamed face) in the second half, having a bit too much fun with my DH. Anyway, I'm just finishing my loading days, and will start R2 VLCD1 tomorrow. Good luck, everyone! |

Well, started on the hhcg pellets today. Not bad, tasted kind of sweet. Definitely better than the injections I had from the doctor two years ago. Since my birthday was yesterday, we still had leftover cake. This morning I had a piece of carrot cake with my coffee with whip cream. For the most part, I am going to try to have a lot of high fat such as meats, etc., with some of the sweet stuff I know I will miss. I really just don't have a ton of sweet stuff in the house except for the cake. Tomorrow we are going to Red Lobster for my belated birthday dinner and I am going to have a grilled blackened salmon with cheddar bisquits. Haven't been there since last year so going to enjoy it while I can! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Got to figure out how I am going to list my weight on here.
P.S. I totally changed my stats to reflect my starting weight today and my goal weight. Think this will be less confusing. Going to add a siggy line. Last edited by ncgirl37; 08-20-2011 at 09:18 AM.. |

Hey everyone, I too am on my first day of loading. I am doing the drops which I started this morning (7 drops under my tongue). Dont have alot of " loading food" in the house so I guess I will just have to go out and force myself to eat Mcdonalds today LOL. Luckily its my sisters birthday tomorrow so we are going to the Mandarin (I think only in Canada) and the food is YUMMY and high fat.
I too am not telling anyone but my hubby about my venture cos I am soooooooo tired of hearing people point out the fact that I am still fat. I have done Dr Bernstein twice with great results and maintaining for years but fell off the wagon one Christmas (those damn cookies) and never got back on......until Now. I truly want to get this weight off for good. I have gained 50lbs since last year. Personal crap and I am that emotional eater, so I just shoveled it in anytime and anywhere. I am approx 5"7 and 250lbs. I will keep a blog here cos I find that helps big time. You should all start a blog too so we can compare how we are all doing having started at the same time. I have the drops for 43 days so I am hoping to loose at least 40lbs (being heavier I am hoping I will loose more than someone much lighter). Heres to our new venture and great success. Ps. If you goto youtube you can see some amazing video blogs by people who have had good results. Gotta go have a shower and get ready for my roadtrip to McD's. |

For anyone loading on your first round, just one tip -- people seem to do better who load on high fat vs high starch. It seems like more people who ate a ton of chips/fries/cake have a rocky start (hunger, weakness, headache) when the VLCD days start, and people who load with higher fat and less starchy stuff (ice cream, whipped cream, cream cheese, avocados, nuts) sail through their first week.
Hope this helps someone! |

Ok well today is my first day after 3 load days. If anyone can help with all the abreviations that would help me a lot...
Anyway had coffee today with stevia and no cream. It was ok. I cam get used to it I guess.lol. for lunch grilled chicken and asparagus. I've been a little hungry but nothing out of control. I've notice I'm having menstral cramping. Anyone had similar side affects? I'll try to update my progress at least daily. Good luck everyone! |

Well, completed my two loading days. Total gain from loading was one pound! The first day I gained a pound and a half and the second I lost a half pound. And I ate like a hog! Go figure. On to the VLC days

UPDATE
Well after my first day after 3 LOAD DAYS, I am down 3 lbs! I actually started at 238 after loading up for 3 days.
Hopefully today I won't be too hungry. I did get up in the middle of the night last night and ate a couple of crackers. One day at a time. |

I haven't been hungry today, just my stomach felt almost close to empty if that makes sense. I only experienced I guess actual hunger and that was about 11:30 this morning. However, night time is worse for me since I feel the need to eat while I'm watching tv.

Some people talk like they have no appetite. I'm starting to wonder if it's the brand I'm using. I may order the pellets and see if that makes a difference. I'll give it a few more days first

I'm not really hungry, but I do have a nasty headache. I am sure it's sugar withdrawals. Afternoons are my sugar feeding time LOL. And I am having withdrawals... Uggh!
