Alternative "treats" you reward yourself with

Hello!

Do you reward yourself with treats for hitting milestones? We used to celebrate with cake, I'll now be celebrating with each 5 lb mark.

1st up - A deluxe pedicure. These puppies are screaming for one!

What do you do to give yourself that pat on the back?

I'm getting my hair cut and colored when I'm done with P2 on 9/2. I should be somewhere between 20 - 25 lbs gone by then.

I'm with Corey! I've been buying shoes. And this week I'm getting my hair cut (it has been growing like CRAZY on this diet...anybody else got that going on?) and nails done.

I take a bath just about every day with a cool glass of ice water. As a mom of 2 young kids, time to myself is a treat. I also go for walks and listen to music as a treat.

I did get a mani/pedi a week ago, which I haven't done in about 6 months. I also got my hair cut and highlighted in July after losing about 15 pounds. I looked so much better with my lost weight and my new hair!

At the end of my first round (I lost 15 lbs in 21 days) I bought myself a necklace. I love it!!

When I reached goal I had to buy some new clothes.

My 17 year old daughter and I went shopping and bought all the tacky glitter makeup we could find. Then we came home and put it on. It was awesome

I probably have the oddest reward of all in mind. When I get to goal, I'm having my varicose veins fixed!

Shelby, when you get a moment, would you mind telling me what procedure you had done and some details--what prep was involved, recovery time, how painful, how expensive?

I only have one leg involved, but man, is it veiny! It totally dictates what kinds of clothing I feel comfortable wearing!

Thanks in advance!

Markiing my spot to come back when not on treadclimber to answer jesss q

Ok - when I'm up to 4.0mph I just can't type safely! I had sclerotherapy on both legs. Vericose vein treatment on one. The procedure involves a session to identify any "feeder" veins for your spider veins, 2 weeks of skin lightening therapy with prescription hydroquinone (4%) on the areas to be treated, one session where they inject the veins (took about 30 minutes), including any feeder veins with an agent that collapses them, 3 days of compression stockings and laying off heavy exercise, then it's all good. I had it done Saturday morning, went out to dinner Sunday, back to work on Monday. It wasn't SUPER painful--I wouldn't want to do it every weekend, but it was ok. Kind of just a series of little pricks when they inject the veins. I have a pretty high pain tolerance though so take that with a grain of salt! I am still pretty bruised and it looks like my right leg in particular has been peppered with buckshot but it's already fading and I suspect it will be largely gone in the next week or two. I got my sclerotherapy though a Groupon which I think was maybe $199??? Not sure how much it cost normally but I would assume at least double that?

Sorry for the threadjack!
