Morning ladies! Congrats to all the losers! I am down another whole pound so 15.4 pounds lost and on day 12.
Mariah- This is my first round, I had 2 false starts before this where I lasted a few days but this is the first time I have actually done it!
I am really debating on how long I want to go. I really wanted to only have to do one round but I see that was a dream and not going to happen. I have about 40 more pounds to lose. I go back and forth like last night I told myself I was only going 21 days because I was smelling the kids' McDonalds, lol. But a lot of times I tell myself I can keep going because I have no hunger and no interest in food at all for the most part. I think that come next Tuesday (not this coming Tuesday but the next) I will just start taking it day by day. That will be 21 days for me so anything after that will just be a bonus. Thse first few days are a nightmare but it has been pretty smooth sailing since about the 4th day.
I am about to run out of drops so I ordered some more so I guess I should keep going for a while. It stinks to have to order drops when you are close to done but I would not have had enough to last. I was using the Fusion from netrition and I ordered the Intermountain this time so I hope I have no issues with switching it up. Have a great day!

I think fish is the best bet, no sauce. It's so low in fat and calories that even if they sneak something in on the prep, you probably still come out a-ok.

In second place, I'd go for grilled chicken. Most cuts of beef, especially those in restaurants, are just SO caloric!

You've got this, though--it's totally do-able. I've had to eat out any number of times in my P2, and found a way through it! Don't stress--be strong.

Oh, and in a worst case scenario, here's what I did:

ordered something, cut it up and stirred it around on my plate, ate my salad to fill me up and left the rest. Ate food I KNEW was "safe" as soon as I got home. It was actually very empowering!

Hello ladies! I started my 4th round (can't believe it) on Monday. Unfortunately I had gained 8 pounds over my LDW during my last P4 (and then we were on vacation for two weeks and I just let it go, gaining another 6!), so the rapid weight loss experienced over these past few days simply takes me back to being 7 pounds over my last LDW. Sigh.

When I was 127 pounds (I'm 5'4"), it still looked like I needed to lose another 5 to 10 pounds, so considering that I always stabilize a few pounds above my LDW, I think my new goal weight will be 115. I'm so mad I was only 12 pounds away from it at the end of round 3, and now I will have to do a full round again to try to reach it.

I am very concerned, however, at my lack of stabilization. I really have to work harder at the end of this round to see what trips me up in P4, but I do know I gain very quickly with bread.

Good luck to all!

I had this problem on Mother's Day - ordered grilled chicken and cut it in half - still lost the next day.

Happy Sunday everyone! Checking in. VLCD 14 of round two, and 3 whole pounds down, (and yeah, I'm uber-strict protocol, just ask the good folks at 'Shower-to-Shower' deodorant powder), LOL. Now here's the good news. It's Sunday, and my house is clean!! Waaa Hooo!!!

Down .7 this morning. I'm down 17lbs all together. I know that I look good. My DH tells me I look good. I can see that I do and I feel great. I just wish someone else would mention it. Not one single person who doesn't know I'm dieting has said a word just bugging me I guess.

Grr. I'm up over a lb. from yesterday morning. 2 nights of parties have done damage, even though I did my best to stay on plan. I also may be retaining water - spend yesterday a.m. doing lots of gardening. Now I only have to get through today and then I'll be back OP 100%.
This is very frustrating as I had a great 1st week - down 7 lbs in 6 days, but now up 1.4. If I remember correctly from my 1st go-round it'll take a couple of days to remedy this. Now I'm thinking I may need to do 28 days b/c of this snafu. Was originally going to do 21.

According to P&I, correction days are only for P3 and P4. In P2, the only "correction" is for a stall, and that is defined as at least 4 days in a row with no loss. Simeons says that all stalls will resolve themselves, but says you can do an apple day to break a stall. I have heard of people trying "mini-steak days" on P2 (nothing except liquids until dinner, then a small steak and a tomato) but it's really not protocol to do that.

That's fantastic! I watched myself getting into smaller and smaller belts in the last round and loved it. I haven't lost enough yet on this round to move into the next smaller belt, but am looking forward to it. KUTGW!

Good job to all with the steady loses and if your struggling keep your head up and stick with it!!!
You can always do another round if you need to. I am hoping to be in virgin territory within the next couple of days. Good for you!

Anyway, I am on VLCD 12. I'm down 2 pounds. (2 pounds below my previous set point, before I started this round). And, when I tell you that I am strict protocol, I mean it. Strict. No lotions, creams, nothing but a teaspoon of FAT FREE milk in my coffee. Nuthin'

I'm sticking it out for 3 more days, then I need to stop because I have a work trip coming up.

I'm close to goal. I am comfortable with my weight. I'll just choose to be happy with where I am I suppose. 6 pounds over goal. I can live with it.

Hope everyone has a fabulous Saturday!
You are the one you have to please. Hang in there!

I am using the Intermountain brand and loving it. I get quite a high from the drops and have sent an e-mail to the company, asking if they could bring out a "maintenance" formula that would have everything except the HCG in it. If they hear from enough people who would like that, maybe they'll bring out a new product so we can keep the high going between rounds. I did injections before and am feeling much better with these drops. I also like the fact that they don't have alcohol and are basically tasteless. I don't like to take medicine that doesn't have a good taste.

We're all quite different in our response to different foods. However, Gary Taubes points out that there will be some sacrifice involved if we want to lose weight and keep it off and there are some foods we simply can't eat without gaining weight. Bread is a high-glycemic food, which means it causes a rapid rise in blood sugar, which then causes a rapid rise in insulin (in people who can produce insulin in their bodies), which then causes us to store those carbs as fat. I suggest you read either Gary Taubes' new book (Why We Get Fat And What To Do About It) or Jonny Bowden's book, Living Low Carb, to better understand what's going on in your body and why bread is a problem for you. That way, you'll be able to make more informed choices from here on in, and get the results you want.

I didn't look much different from losing 20 pounds on my first round, and the only people who noticed were those who knew I was working on losing weight. However, I felt great and less embarrassed when I was wearing my size 16s instead of my 20s, and feeling good was its own reward. Keep at it. The ones who matter are the ones who are close enough to you to know what you are doing, and you are the one you have to please, not the others. I do understand that you would like others to notice, but be patient. That still may come.

Checking in with a loss of 0.8 today. Only 0.8 to go and I will be in virgin territory. Also, I had a virgin day today with my fasting blood sugar level. It was 112 -- nearly normal -- and that's certainly a first for me. My usual fasting levels are around 125-145. So a big woo-hoo for both of those!

Hooray for everybody! Seems like everybody's heading in a good direction.

VLCD2, and 2.5 pounds down for me -- ahhh, the nice losses in the early days. Gotta love 'em!

Last night was my son's first night home from camp, and he was dying to go to the new burger place that opened up in town this summer. While I desperately wanted a burger (they're amazing!) and went through all the rationalization that the stomach will do to overpower the brain ("You're only on Day 1, you'd really just be starting a day later, it's no big deal") I gritted my teeth, reminded myself that the burger will be there later, and had my itty bitty piece of chicken and cucumbers. Getting on the scale this morning was the reward!

Have a great day, all!

Yay on the lbs and the clean house! I think you just don't have as much weight to lose at this point and one must be patienter (?) Haha!

Someone will. For now enjoy the fact your husband noticed. I have lost 35 lbs since January and my DH couldn't tell. Until I showed him pictures.

Yes, not fun, but not permanent. Keep on truckin'. You'll be down in a day or so.

Nice drop! Good on the will power!

I'm down .4 this am for a total of 3.6 lbs since last Sunday and 12.8 at 20 days in!! I'm loving it! It took me three MONTHS on WW to lose 8 lbs and couldnt' budge more than 3 on low carb. So I will ride this pony all the way!

made it through my evening out with the grilled cod and salad, they had every thing on the salad bar, but tomatoes, go figure, then i got a side of vegtables instead of my potato, which i wouldn't of ate, but thought i would get the veggies to stir around on my plate, so it wouldn't look i wasn't eating much, then they were out, so they brought corn,--- didn't touch the stuff, not worth it---i was happy at the end of the evening and this morning with a .2# loss, better that a gain

Happy Sunday everyone

Help!! SOS!!!

I am seriously about to cry.

Its the 3rd day no loss and I'm on my 21st vlcd day. I switched to shrimp for these days, could that be it? I'm not allergic.

I know apple day is one day away but should I anyway?

You are probably just about a swoosh is all Lara... Its hard, but hang tough and see what comes. If you are following protocol, it will drop, you might just be "catching up"

Trust The Force!

You're not even in a technical stall until 4 days -- it may or may not relate to shrimp. Even with no sensitivities, our bodies take breaks and retain water -- stick to protocol and I bet things will go back to normal in a day or two

It's vcld3 for me. Round 2 is sure different. I got into such a groove during round 1, and I think I expected that to happen again right away in R2, which is silly, I know in a logical way. And toward the end of R1, I was really tired of the food, which I was fine with the rest of the time, but I feel myself already being tired of the food. *sigh* I keep telling myself that it will get better, once I find that groove again...

But, like R1, seeing those drops on the scale every day sure helps keep me moving forward.

If you are going to stop hcg in a few days I no way suggest doing an apple day. If you do an apple day close to the end of your round, there is a big chance you can rebound up in weight the day after your apple day. Hang in there hon I know it is hard, especially as I am in P3 right now and don't have this issue, but I have been stalled for a long time on this round. I hear your frustration in that you may not reach your goal. I didn't by a long shot this time either. The reason for my short break. If you feel the shrimp is holding you back then by all means switch to another protein!!! ASAP!!! And you do not have to allergic to stall out on a particular food. Just sensitive to it is all.

Newbie Here

I am on R1 VLCD 9 and have lost 9 pounds so far! Also, it's incredible how good you feel on this diet. My mood and energy level have really improved. So far only minimal hunger every now and then. I'm excited to keep going and this thread is really motivating
