I tried a round of this at the beginning of the summer and didn't do very well. Too much rogue action and not enough vlc. It was a learning thing that I'm putting to good use this time 'round. I can do a few "rogue" things - like shirataki noodles - but I can't eat much above 600 cal if I want to see actual weight loss, and I certainly can't eat any starches and have to keep it very low fat.
I also learned about gain/stabilizing from being at my weight for several months this summer. I ate whatever I wanted and didn't gain any weight until the last couple of weeks - because I not only ate whatever I wanted I ate completely recklessly. It was fun while it lasted! It also served as a good load!
Great success to all of us~!

Have a great day!

I've been exercising almost everyday to help tighten up some flabby areas. I still am not comfortable in a bikini because my stomach is so mushy.
It sounds like happier times ahead. I hope you enjoy them.

Have you considered weaning yourself off caffeine? It pushes your adrenals, which then push your body for more energy, which also messes with your insulin levels. When I saw Dr. Schwarzbein, she advised people to slowly get off caffeine (going cold turkey was apparently quite uncomfortable), which would help their metabolism to heal. For those who need something of a lift first thing in the day, she said green tea was preferable to coffee. Just a thought.

Great start! I am almost down to my LIW, and will probably get there by tomorrow.

Checking in with 0.6 down, and expect to only see 0.4s from here on in. Losses have slowed down at precisely 0.2 a day since starting the VLCD, and I will be happy if I just don't get a stall.

I bounced down to 139 on my third day on P3, so that is my next mini-goal -- to get below that. 132 was my weight in 1998 and that will be my next mini-goal. At this rate, I will not lose as much as I did in round 1, but down is down and it's the direction I want to go in. Being a slow loser is definitely not fun, but I still am doing much better on this program than anything else I have tried.

Down almost another lb. Tomorrow I'll have dropped my load weight.
I'm excited! I felt so bloated on Sunday, first low calorie day, and I feel so much better today. My gut was really upset and all that's practically gone. Yahoo for hcg!

Not as fun, no, but losing is losing! It's worked the best for me also of any diets I've tried.

Great attitude Loretta!

Dawn - I think 15 lbs is great!!! I think you should give yourself a pat on the back for that. It's so hard to be patient when you're so close, isn't it?

Anyone I missed --- keep up the good work and have a great day!!

Weighed myself this am and I'm down 24 lbs on my 16th day of vlcd. 12 days left on this short round and I hope to lose at least 10 lbs more... we will see what happens. I think that I need to switch my protein but I'm not sure what to do. Beef is getting old.

OMG OMG! Down 1 whole pound today and I am past the 30 pounds lost point!

I've been doing light exercise every day to boost the weight loss, and this week so far I have lost 2 pounds (and it's only Wednesday!).

Down to 124.5! Only 4.5 pounds to go!

Wow! Congrats everyone! What a fabulous loser day!

R1P2VLCD4 - down 1 lb.

Since I'm still nursing my 1 year old daughter, I've upped my cals by 100-150 because I'm STARVING and I know I need those extra cals to make milk. I'll probably see slower results, but it's worth it to lose weight and still nurse.

That's good that you didn't cheat either because it would have taken about a week to get back to where you are now, you are doing great.

I was very thin and healthy when I nursed my babies (about 116-118 pounds) because nursing burns 500 calories a day to make that milk! I actually noticed a rapid gain in weight once I stopped nursing.

Her daughter is 1. Usually babies start cereals/foods at 6 months, and by the time they are 1 nursing is a very small part of their diet. When my daughters were 1, they drank whole milk and only nursed before bed or for comfort.

I only nurse her 2x a day...morning and before bed and she has whole milk throughout the day. It's our mommy and me time. And she eats (solids) like a horse. I would have never done this diet when she was any younger than 1. We'll be weaning soon and possibly sooner rather than later.

You were a lucky lady who got to keep your weight down while nursing. I'm still holding onto 10 lbs of baby weight (plus I was not at an ideal weight before I got preggo).

Afternoon ladies! I haven't posted for a few days, been terribly busy, but still going strong. I lost 1 pound yesterday and 1.4 pounds today so I am at 13.4 pounds lost and starting day 9 today. Can't beat that! I feel so blessed, I have lost at least something everyday (the smallest being .3 and the largest being 3.2) so I have nothing but motivation to keep going. Love it! When I stall or stay the same is when I worry because I know I am always tempted to quit if I don't see the scale doing what I want it to do, but I have told myself that this time I will stay the course no matter what. I am already in week 2 and will be done soon anyways so I am sure I can do it this time! I am well into onderland now too so that is exciting!
Have a great day!
Brandi

Nice loss!!!!! Glad its coming off fast.

I too am finding my vacation weight and loading weight is dropping fast. ( Sorry Red if you read this )

I was down 2 lbs this morning, so I am 1 lb over my LDW.
I may have done OK by just going back to clean eating, but I had gone off track so badly, I was afraid I wouldn't stick with it.
Once I get to virgin weight we'll see what happens.

was down .06 this morning--i am a little worried about tomorrows weigh in, we had to do some shopping in a neighboring town, and of course we have to have lunch, i knew i would have some type of salad, so i took my mustard dressing along, they were so nice---i ordered a bed of lettuce with shredded grilled chicken and diced tomatoes to have in place of my usual fruit--, but i know the chicken had to be injected with something before roasting whole, so i might not have a loss tomorrow, but will push water the rest of the day---there probably was a little fat included also, found a piece of roasted skin in my salad----did not eat, glad i found it---but all in all i was happy what i had ordered and with the mustard dressing it was very good

that is an excellent loss for 9 days.

2 pounds is really good, I know what you mean about eating clean but if you are too far out how long would it take to get there.

Hungry, Hungry this afternoon. Thought oh my pellets are bad or maybe this happens the 2nd round.
Well it might help if I had actually taken my second dose today
I'm all better now

I'm excited! I felt so bloated on Sunday, first low calorie day, and I feel so much better today. My gut was really upset and all that's practically gone. Yahoo for hcg!
Amen!

KUTGW! That's great!

Down to 124.5! Only 4.5 pounds to go!
I'm still dreaming of 30 pounds lost. Good for you!

Great attitude!

Even if you show a small gain, just stay on program and you'll be on your way down again. Life happens. You did what you could. KUTGW!

Checking in with a 0.8 loss, which for me is a whoosh. I was not expecting that and I'll take it! I am now down below LIW and my mini-goal is to hit 139, which was a bounce down on day 3 of P3. Then I will truly be in virgin territory. Down and down she goes and where she stops, nobody knows.

Thank you Dr. Simeons. I am sure you earned quite a few points in heaven and we are all blessed because of your work.

I am just loving the hHCG. I was afraid it wouldn't work, but I am feeling so much better and it does appear to be working. Not hungry, either, which is what I THOUGHT would happen on the injections, but didn't.
