hair color
Hello all!
Today is the last day of week 2 and I am down 12.1 lbs. I'm very happy with this! I need to color my hair soon (before school starts) and was wondering if it would have a negative effect on my losses. I sure do wish I didn't have gray hair to worry about! Thanks~ Lyn |

I get my hair hi-lighted every eight weeks or so, had it done about a week after I started P2 and still lost weight like crazy. YMMV.
Good Luck! |

I've been wondering this myself, and I am glad to read here that it didn't impact your losses, Stephanie. Someone else on another thread also said they had no problems coloring their hair. I need to do mine, and I'm just starting P2, Week 2, so this is a timely post for me. Thank you

I've colored my hair and I have still lost. I don't see how it could affect weight loss. I have been doing this through a Chiropractor's office and he is not concerned about make-up, hair dye or cream body lotions. But I guess we all have to see what works best for us.

It did affect my losses but maybe it was a cooincedence.
When you color your hair, it opens the hair shaft and deposits color then seals it, it has moisturizers in it and during the process the hair becomes like a sponge and absorbs everything. So its possible that you might lose a day of losses if anything. This happens with highlights too. |

My loss stalls with any creams or lotions. My body, my skin is a big thirsty sponge. As for hair though, I don't have much knowledge. I was thinking about that when I was rubbing oil into the ends of my hair the other day. LOL "Can it climb all the way up to the roots?" My hair is pretty long!! We think about some strange stuff on P2! :-)

I know we think about strange things! The other day, I freaked out because I was dusting and I wondered if the oils would soak in my hand. I kept washing my hands. LOL Then, when I was washing the dishes, I wondered if touching the water could cause me to absorb calories. Guess I just shouldn't clean until phase 2 is over! Ha ha!
