I'm going to miss wine, aren't I...

I am going to miss my nightly glass (or two) of wine. Anyone else in the same boat?

Ha! I guess that's one way to look at it. And we are almost neighbors! You in OC, me in San Diego! I actually grew up in the City of Orange! I went to El Modena high school. You?

Didn't grow up here (Yorba Linda), but my kids did and went to Esperanza. My daughter now works as a writer for Chapman University, right in your old back yard!

Oh well, I'll enjoy my last couple of nights with wine (and maybe a bit o' vodka). No biggie.

Yeah, I missed my wine for the 8 months that I stayed on induction, but it was worth it for the consistent weight loss. Now I have wine on the weekends and I think that I enjoy it even more now by looking forward to that "treat" all week.

If you do the Omaha Weight Loss plan, you can still have one small glass of wine her day!

I'm MUCH better off in P2 without any alcohol. One small glass of wine (or a half. or a sip ) is all it would take for me to justify eating anything at all. I look forward to a glass at dinner in P3 when I'm "safer".

Wine is allowed in P3? How much and what kinds are best (red, white, pink)? I loved my wine, but don't want to gain weight in P3.

My Dr's instructions just say "a small glass". I prefer a dry white, usually a NZ Sauvignon Blanc, so that's what I'm planning for

Yes, I also do a sauvignon blanc, and NOT the first few days of P3! Cause even lowcarb, my weight will rebound up.

I totally miss it the first weekend of P2, but then I don't think about it.

I dunno...I missed wine but now I have a gin and diet tonic water every night--sometimes 2. Doesn't affect my losses. I've had rum and diet coke too, but not as much because of the caramel coloring in the coke, I think is bad. Also dark alcohols make for bad hangovers. Also, on hcg, it takes much less alcohol to feel oopsy. Which feeling oopsy leads to "oopsy, I shouldn't have eaten that" so be careful...

I miss my...ANY sort of drink right now. My mother in law just left after a LONG visit.

No. I know. I'll just go jab a stick in my eye. And eat a wedge of grapefruit.

Red. My in-laws are coming in a few weeks. They usually stay for 6 weeks.

This may sound yukko to some, but it helped me when I missed my wine. I would take about 1 T. cider vinegar, add water and ice to my wine glass. It might work with red wine vinegar too, but I haven't tried that. It wouldn't really work if you are going out, but at home or with friends it could help.
