Morning all! A ton of stress and a couple bad food choices netted me a 1.6 pound gain this morning. Not too happy but I expected it. Just means today has to be better. Don't have time to catch up on the reading now - headed to the airport in a few minutes. "See" you from Omaha later!

Good morning all. So today is my second load day. I ate a ton yesterday and this morning I had a 2 pound loss. I thought I was supposed to gain during my load days. I'm confused.

Thatweight will be gone in a day or two. Have a safe flight and we'll "see" you from Omaha ![]() This morning I weighed in at 185.4, so about .8 below my LDW It's crazy how up and down it's been for me so far in P3. But I havent gone out of my window so I'm super happy about that. As much as I'm enjoying this phase, I have to admit Im anxious to get back to P2 and see that scale start dropping again. I will start loading on Sept 1st to lose at least 15 lbs this next round, but we'll see.Wiggles- Jess, hope you girls are doing great. To everyone else Ive missed, have a great day! Hope you guys are enjoying your Sunday ![]()

Kimmie, I just wanted to say that I hope your apple day helps, but even if it doesn't help as much as you want or you stall out, don't give up!
If you are questioning your hcg, can you read us what the label says? Does it actually have a homeopathic solution of hcg in it, and does it say like 60x30x etc? If it doesn't actually contain a homeopathic solution of hcg, and only has something that is supposed to help your body "produce" hcg, such as some advertise some amino acids might, I wouldn't consider that in line with protocol - even if their claims are true about making your body produce some hcg, I can't think that'd be enough to be effective for weight loss. Just having the word HCG appearing in the name does not mean hcg is in the bottle. If that is not the issue, here are my other thoughts. I once had a 2-week stall. Our bodies will do exactly what they *can* do while doing this incredibly hard thing we are asking of them to do. Metabolic changes are not quick. The liver is focused on processing toxins AND regulating fat loss. Sometimes it slows down burning fat to burn toxins because that's more important, and it looks like you're not losing. Then it resumes, sometimes with a whoosh. That is even more possible at the early stages of weight loss, as the switch to burning fat for fuel takes a bit of time. I know you're disappointed, but I hope my encouragement can help you. If you are at a prior setpoint, your body is doing everything it can to keep you there, but YOU WILL WIN, if you do not give up. I had many, many setpoints on the way down - some weights I had stayed at for years, literally. Some of the weights I thought would be hard to get past were easy, and some I thought should be easy were hard. KUTGW!

Hi everyone. Been a pretty busy weekend and haven't been around much. Sorry some are having stalls. Just keep the faith and hopefully things will get moving for you again.
![]() I've been in P3 for about 11 or so days now and haven't gone out of my window at all. I'm sure I'm worrying for no reason but pretty much every day I've gone up a .2 or .4 and I'm a little concerned (I worry too much!). I'm one pound over LDW so I'm still okay but keeping my fingers crossed I can get down a pound or so. Jen - I see you're going to start P2 in a couple of weeks. Are you going to do P4 at all? I thought that I would do the full cycle of P3 and P4 for a total of six weeks but I'm really anxious to go back to the losing stage again. Since I'm pretty stable so far, I may just do a week or so on P4 and then go back to P2. So I might join you on P2 on September 1. My goal for the next round is going to be 25 pounds. I really want to get into the 190's. I'm going to go search the threads to see what others have done and check out their results if they skipped P4. If any veterans have been reading, I'd love to hear your thoughts. I don't want to start a new thread before I do some searching first. Have a great day everyone!

Just dropping by to say
![]() Still stalled, up .4 on the week so far. I did take some comfort from C'Marie mentioning being stalled for two weeks, because that's basically what I'm coming up on. I've had a super busy day, and still have to go to Pasadena (FAR from Orange County) for a birthday party this afternoon, so I have to get moving. NOT GIVING UP, though. I couldn't read all the posts, but I will later. In the meantime, I'm sending each and every one of you my most powerful success vibes. ![]()

This info makes alot of sense, and I truly appreciate all the advice that those of you with more experience have given us along our journeys ![]() Jess- thanks for checking in, Ive been worried about you, I know how frustrated you must be right now. Im super happy to hear that you're not giving in. I know you'll be glad you hung in there! Have fun at the birthday party and we'll be here when you get back! Wiggles- I am going to go right back into p2- I thought alot about it and asked around on the board and one girl sent me some great info as a PM about cycling- she also said that her dr said it's totally ok to go from p3 back to p2 for as many rounds as it takes to get to goal- but that as soon as you're at goal, you MUST do a full p3/p4 to stabilize successfully long-term. I would be happy to fwd you what she sent me if you want. |

I haven't exercised since before starting P2 back in mid-July. I wasn't a consistant exerciser (and that's putting it lightly) but I got into bike riding a month or so before I started P2. I was getting quite good at keeping up with my husband, climbing hills, etc. Yesterday we went bike riding and I thought I was going to pass out. I had no stamina whatsoever. We only rode for 3.5 miles and I had to stop. My legs were like noodles and I couldn't catch my breath.
So, do you think it was just lack of exercise for 4-5 weeks or do you think I lost muscle while in P2? |

Hey girls. I'm home from the birthday party. It was lovely, in a charming little bistro in old town Pasadena. They served a cheese tray at each table, with baskets of homemade crostini, and all manner of wines. (I skipped all of this, you'll be happy to know.)
Then they brought out a card with our three entree choices--salmon over couscous, free range chicken with spring vegetables and fingerling potatoes, or braised short ribs. Plus, they served everyone a salad--spring greens with white balsamic vinaigrette. I chose the chicken and ate it (no skin) and five baby zucchinis (so cute--about the size of my little finger.) I ate a couple of bites of my salad. I turned down the birthday cake, obviously. I'm sure that I took in more calories than I would at home, from dressing and fats used to prepare the food, but I think I did pretty well. And honestly, I had the thought that a day with a few more calories might be good for me. Kimmie--my heart goes out to you, since we are both lodged at a huge stall weight for us. I can't think of any words of encouragement except the lame (but true) "at least we're not gaining." Hey, that does count for something. Then again, I have gained .4, so I guess in my case, at least I'm not gaining very much. Pattie--I think your lack of stamina was probably mostly about a lack of calories/glycogen in your liver due to the extremely low calories. I wouldn't worry about your conditioning too much. Congrats to those who are losing, and keep showing us how it's done, you P3ers! |

I'm sorry that you're in a stall, you and verbqueen..... it stinks but it happens. Keep at it! Keep true to protocol. If you give it your 100%, your body will do what it can do. Try to get some extra rest if you can. It helps. You could also try a detox bath of epsom salts and baking soda. ![]() |

Hey Jess,
Just food for thought (no pun intended ). On my Apple day I only lost .4. The next day I ate 1260 cals and was down .7. The next day I ate 512 cals and was down 1.5. Your body may be in starvation mode and needs some shaking up. |
