You can do it! I have done PLENTY of trips and stayed on Atkins. Just pick out/off what you can eat, and then keep some stuff stashed in your room to fill out your day's calories with--those foil packets of tuna and chicken, fruits and veggies, prepackaged cheese sticks (you can keep 'em in the ice bucket and refill the ice) or whatever. I have confidence in you!

Our last two vacations to Mexico, I have wondered what the luggage x-ray folks must've thought of my bag! I had it filled with packets of nuts, packets of tuna and chicken, a bag of those individually wrapped cheese sticks, Atkins breakfast bars and some of those little packets you dump into a water bottle to make "juice." Maybe they thought I was afraid to eat the food in Mexico or something! hahaha!
But I stayed on Atkins those entire trips, and didn't gain a thing! |

I used to travel a lot singing. I was really careful about gluten back then because it made me have a LOT of phlegm. My luggage was pretty interesting too! I also traveled back and forth to Europe a fair amount, and had musician friends I would meet up with who were working in Germany that were always missing their favorite American treats. I never left home without a bag filled with Oreo cookies, Cheetos, Nestle's Toll House chocolate chips, and KC BBQ sauce!

![]() If you don't mind me throwing my two cents in, Jen, are you eating pizza with crust? If so that may be your culprit. No starches or sugar on P3. Also what Wiggles says about cutting back on cheese is good advice. Nuts and cheese can really adversely affect some people right off the bat. You usually want to go easy on that for the first week or so. Otherwise a 1.2 fluctuation is typical and nothing to worry about now. That's what your window is for. Your body needs time to stabilize and sometimes jumps around quite a bit at first while it's figuring things out. One of the most important things is to eat enough calories. You really want to push the protein and good fats (meat, avocados, olive oil, butter, etc.), that's what your body is deficient in right now. Not eating enough calories now will surly cause you to gain and you want to reset your metabolism to eat higher calories without gaining. This is the time to do that! Good luck

Thanks so much for that, Terri. I think all of us are just FILLED with questions about how P3 is going to work, so it's so great to get input from someone experienced.
I'm pretty sure that Jen made that "deep dish" pizza that has a "crust" made of cream cheese and eggs (I made it years ago and hated it--the crust was like eggy cheesecake to me. But then, I hate eggs...) But I did have the thought that between the CC layer and the toppings, maybe that much cheese was a shock to her system. Man, I'm taking notes for that glorious day when I finally get to P3!

Neeko, did you call the hotel to see if you could get a mini refrigerator for your room? That might help a bit to keep cheese, fruit, bottled water, etc.

Hi Girls, reading all your posts trying to get caught up..I'm so frikkin hungry tonight..not sure why..I just can't stop thinking about food....I went to the beach today and usually bring snacks and drinks and thats the way it's always been. Today I brought my water and an apple and sat there listening to some girl beside me munch on potato chips...my mouth was salivating and now thats all I can think of is POTATO CHIPS
I think the disappointment of not losing anything today after feeling like I'm starving myself..makes me feel like pfft I may as well ate the bag of chips LOL I'm feeling your frustration now Jess already hahahaha and I'm only in it one week so far. Thanks for the compliment Neeko..and Jen I think its the cheese too ![]()

Hi everyone! Sounds like highs and lows for today across tge board for everyone today.
For me sitting in a conference all day was tough. I did well but not perfect. I didn't get all my water in the morning like normal because I didn't want to keep getting up to weeeee! And I asked someone for a tea unsweetened and I gulped it and it had sugar...she gave me tge wrong cup! :-/ so that sucked! Tonight I ate about half my dinner cause I just dont feel good. My new 'chips' is crisp iceberg lettus with salt and pepper! Yum just maxed that my veggie for dinner. Btw my son's heart looks normal Good luck on tge scale! |

Wow I have missed ALOT in one day!! Time to roll up my sleeves and get caught up
PS can you guys tell me how you quote multiple posts at once??Tipsy- Yay, Im so relieved for you that your son's scan was normal!! Sounds like you are doing a good job at the conference- I had the same thing happen with a drink a couple weeks ago- I bought a diet coke at Mcdonalds and they gave me a regular coke. I took a huge drink off it before I realized the mistake Anyway, hope you feel better and your new "chips" sound yummy!NeekoM- Im you wont be able to do another round in October either . I'm pretty sure I'll be in P2 then.Kimmie- good job staying tough at the beach, that must've been a challenge! Im sorry you're so hungry tonight, hopefully you have a better day with it tomorrow. It always comes and goes with me. Dont worry about the no-loss today, you have seriously done so amazing in your first week- every week or so (for me it's every 3-4 days) your body needs to take a little break to prepare to release more water/fat and on those days you will have a tiny loss, no loss, or a slight gain and it's all normal. The protocol is still working TerriMM- Thanks so much for the advice, I do appreciate it! Yes it was the P3 deep dish pizza that I had, but I think you are right, the cheese was too much. I have cut almost all of it out as of today and I'll be anxious to see what the scale says in the morning. Anyway, feel free to chime in anytime you want! The more the merrier!! Jess- you are doing so awesome! You are so close to some very impressive milestones. Even if you dont lose another oz before you go to p3, you're still a rockstar hcger!! ![]() Cali- WTG thats a nice loss!! ![]() Layla- I know Bobbi is doing an extended round and will probably be transitioning to P3 around the same time. In any case, we will be here for all of you guys moving into that phase whenever you get there. I know you can meet that goal and get to the 170s no question! Okay me: Lol. Today I went super easy on the cheese and cut it almost entirely out. I did have a little on my eggs because I dont like eggs plain. I had heavy cream in my coffee though. So I did have a bit of dairy, but my stomach is completely fine today. Here's what I ate so far (hmmm I seem to be having a problem getting my fruit in ) 2 eggs with sprinkle cheddar cheese, 3 slices bacon coffee with hwc- 2 cups few pinches shredded mozz cheese and about 4 pepperoni slices large salad with ranch dressing large (though thin) steak with A1 6 small pieces chocolate delight and 1 tsp peanut butter. I will have my apple before bed since I havent had any fruit. I also havent had alot of water- something I need to work on.... Anyway, hopefully tomorrow the scale is kind to me! On a side note, my little sis just ordered her hcg and is going to do a round. She only has 15 lbs to lose but she has stalled with low carb and cant seem to get past where she is. I told her GET SOME HCG!!! She is reading P&I tonight and she's going to post on the board here when she gets started. Im super excited for her ![]()

Tipsy I'm with you waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa 3 days with no loss or gain..is this not too early for me to be in a stall? OMG how can I not lose with this strict protocol on 500 calories I'm starting to feel frustrated...if you look at the big picture I am really only 5 lbs down from my preload weight in 1 week...OK after as I'm writing this I'm thinking what other diet do you lose 5 lbs a week on. OK enough feeling sorry, just keep on plugging away, if you guys can do it I can too. Going to the drive in tonight will be challenging. Maybe I'm eating too many apples or at the wrong time of day? I'm having 2 per day but save 1 of them for evening cuz I'm hungry at night.
