Dear Boobs, please come back :(

I know that I've said I wouldn't miss you. But I do.

You've been in my life for so long. I can't remember a time NOT being a DD/bordering on DDD. I DO remember cursing your existence though. Many times. I am sorry for that.

You've been gone for a little less than a week.

First your partner-in-crime, the back fat, went away. I didn't mind that at all because the loss was gradual and I sure didn't miss the lumps and rolls sticking out of my most form-fitting clothes like growths on Quasimodo.

That was fine. Good riddance.

But.

You.

You two. The both of you, in cahoots with each other.

You disappeared like thieves in the night, leaving me with half-empty cups and a very distraught husband. No warning at all.

You did me soooo wrong there.

But I am willing to forgive.

Just please, come back.

Please.

Haha I can relate to this!

I've lost about 2 1/2 inches from my chest. I went from a 36C to a 34B. However, I actually had a male friend ask me if I got a boob job! When I told him that my boobs have actually shrunk, he suggested that perhaps they looked bigger relative to everything else.

So have no fear, they will be a good proportion to the rest of your body.

I tell myself that I don't mind having smaller boobs as long as the rest of me is smaller too.

Miss you Lilac

Dear Lilac,

I'm sorry that I left without a note.

Good news, I will be pack in P3, I swear. I just need some time to plump up again. I promise.

Maybe when I get back we can have a special Victoria Secret occasion?

Love, Boobs

On the other hand.... I have gone from a 38DD/DDD to a 32DDD

Can I just tell you how expensive a size 32DDD bra is??? What in the world?? -

Most are NOT sold off the rack....specialty order -

but I digress...
LB - they will do a bit of reshaping and firming up in Phase 3 and the mental adjustment will happen also....

I so relate!!!

I was 34E in Vegas. My girls were POPULAR. Hahahaha.

I think a bit does come back in P3. It was new for me to hear that, but now that I think of it, it seems like they did re-plump a bit. But - not to their previous gloriousness, of course.

I have about ten pounds to lose, and then I'll go find the best "perk-um-up-Scottie" bra I can find. The ones with the bubbles in the bottom or something. Whatever it takes. LOL

Here's what I do when I'm missing my girls. I just turn around and look at how fine my behind looks in those size 8 jeans....and it ALLLLL goes away. :-)

I could have written this post a million times over!! My boobs not only went from a 38DD (really pushing 40DD, lol!) to a 36D after almost 100 pounds lost. But, I expected that, and will tell you that since I have "found" a few of those pounds, the girls are mostly back. I am in NO way advocating gaining ANY weight, but P3 will definately help "fill" the girls out again.

I agree with Victoria's Secret...get a nice, fancy push-up bra! My daughter and I visited there recently, and before I couldn't even find any of their bras to fit me, now my girls are back up where they should be!

If this happens to me, I will be pretty impressed! I'm around ballerinas all the time...and they are so gloriously beautiful in their flatness that my big ole boobs seem almost bizarre to me sometimes.

Awww shucks, I can relate. Seems like I went from flour sacks (nice flour sacks at that) to sugar packets. They are still there DD and all, but in a smaller DD, less impressive package. More a D'ish, but I have been wearing an old DD minimizer that is actually just fitting like a real bra now

LOL that's kinda it. The flour sacks are still there. But there is LESS flour in the flour sacks, making the flour sacks sort of droopy, misshapen things. Not plump and stuffed and well-formed like they used to be.

Hmmm....I still have tons of wrinkled skin when I hike the girls into their supportive garments. It's pretty gross. I started at a 40F that barely fit...went to 36F/36E last January, and am not sure what I am now. I'm about to dart up all the cups and take in an inch or two in the cups - the bands still fit, just at a tighter notch. I don't mind the size, just the fact that with so much gone there's tons of droop and extra skin.

Good news...no more stains on my shirts from food dripping down...my chin now juts beyond the girls...

I've got a boob dilemma that is unique. Last year I was diagnosed as high risk for breast cancer. Not wanting to deal with testing every 6 mos. for the rest of my life waiting for the shoe to drop, I opted for a surgery called DIEP flap where they take out your breast tissue and replace it with tummy tissue. Essentially giving you a mastectomy and tummy tuck at the same time. I still have another stage left, but now that I am serious about losing weight, I'm afraid my "tummy fat" on my chest will be the first to go!

Be happy with the breasts you have, especially if they are healthy!

AMEN!!!!

(question - wouldn't they have given you actual tummy tissue and not FAT that could be lost on a diet? or is it just sitting there even if it is fat and not a part of your system that would make it be lost on a diet? I have never heard of that procedure - sounds pretty ingenious!)

Kimmie, I was on P2 for 90 days and didn't lose a thing in the boobage area until about day 85. Then it just happened overnight. Even my daughter and husband have remarked, although they didn't need to since my empty bra cups told me all I needed to know.

I guess I wouldn't mind so much if they weren't so... so... DROOPY!!

When it does happen, I'll be in the droopy club too.
But I guess I'd rather be in that club, than the "bazoomba" club.

C'Marie, they used to use tummy muscle and fat for this type of surgery. It is new and very advanced to use the fat only (which doesn't compromise the stomach muscles). They go through the muscle and pull out an artery with the fat then reattach it (using a microscope) to a blood supply at the breast location. This makes the tissue warm and soft and never needs replacing (like implants). My first surgery was 11 hours long, but the peace of mind has been priceless!

It HAS to be the hcg targeting certain fatty places....I have lost and gained MANY times and NEVER lost the boob fat, ever! I even went for a breast reduction after losing 35 pounds without losing a cup size. I would always lose in the band size, but never the cup size.

Now, I am down 10 lbs on hcg and my bra cups are a little big

Thanks miamiloca, c'marie, privatediva and lildrew for the kind words.

I have a couple quotes that mean a lot to me, I use them in my signature line on my BC forum.
"Most obstacles melt away when make up our minds to walk boldly through them"
"You'll never know how strong you are until being strong is your only option"

We all have our own obstacles and I know that we all have the strength to get through them. I'm so lucky to be on this forum with such wonderful strong friends!
