Do you all eat greek yogurt in P3?
I love my usual plain Fage yogurt 0%, but usually in P4.
Is this also safe for P3? I don't like products that are on a fine line. For example, I'm pretty sensitive to cashews and almonds on P3, so I try to cool out and save those for P4. What do you think about the greek yogurt? |

I've been eating plain Chobani 2% greek yogurt and the Dannon Carb Control yogurt since Thursday and haven't had any issues.

I ate it all the time on my 1st 2 p3 cycles, but this last round ive been holding out on it because it seemed to be making me gain, but im gonna give it another shot soon. (im in my 3rd week of p3, round 3. I used to use fage and chobani, but i recently found Cabot full fat and it is soooooo good! I sweeten with stevia or splenda and mix in blackberries or raspberries.

I'd love to say I could have it with no issues but apparently, it does cause me to gain. ARG.
My next P3 I'm holding off until at least the 2nd or 3rd week of P3 on anything remotely questionable for me. |

In P3, you want to eat the full-fat versions of yogurt and things--not the fat free since they almost always have more carbs. Hard to keep all the fat free fro P2 and the full fat from P3 straight but try not to mix them

Way too much time on my hands!

Sometimes.
I'm lactose intolerant. That might be why I'll sometimes see a blip in weight the next day. It comes right back off the next day. Those who can't tolerate it might want to strain it more and make yo-cheese out of it. I think the whey triggers my intolerance more than the solids. I like yo-cheese, either mixed with berries and sweetner or mixed with dill, garlic, etc for spreading on raw veggies. |

I eat it almost every day in P3. It's my favorite CD too. I just bought some today (2nd day of P3). The full fat is the way to go, and my personal fave is Voskos brand. Trader Joe's is my 2nd choice. They're so creamy and delcious! I eat it straight from the container, w. a few blueberries sometimes too. YUM!! It doesn't seem to stall me.
Yogurt seems to be a magic food for me. I can eat the frozen yogurt - NSA- from those self-serve places w/o gaining in P3 too. I like Carbmaster LC yogurt, and the full fat GY. It's all good in my book! The fat free tastes too chalky to me and I think may have higher carbs and possible added starch. Read the label carefully! Give it a whirl!!

I too am a huge Greek yogurt eater in P3!!! Love, love, love it!! I buy either Fage full fat or Cabot full fat. Those are fabulous!! I add strawberries and a less than handful of pecans and my sweetener--OMG!!! So yum!!!! No issues for me, thank goodness!!!

I have no problems with yogurt in P3. Be sure whatever you buy doesn't have additives or skim milk powder added. I make mine homemade from full fat milk.

It's just like the other container. The 0% is pink and white, and the 2% is another color and white. The whole doesn't have a percentage next to it. It's a white container that just says Fage. It's not obvious that it's full fat. Just look at the label closely. I'm sure you can find it. My side of the family all still lives in Miami and when I go visit, I believe I've seen it at Publix.

My store has a refrigerated section in the health food aisle and that's where they keep all of the Fage. Not sure why though because other greek yogurt is in the yogurt section in the normal refrigerator aisle. Very strange.

Thanks, mi vida! I will look there more closely where they keep the voskos/fage! Like wiggles said--they seperate it into the health/organic section--I usually have my 3 and 5 year old kids with me in the grocery so im usually just trying to get out with all my groceries/kids intact! LOL (imagine me pushing one of those double racecar grocery carts with the kids grabbing stuff/singing/screaming/throwing a tantrum, etc, etc.!
Milienina--what part of S florida does your family live in? |
