Good Morning! I'm doing an egg day and may do 2-3 in a row. I'm above my two-pound mark and need to get back in my range. This is just unacceptable and for the first time in my life....I'm SO motivated and LOVE HCG! I want to sing to the heavens.

Drinking tons of water today (as I always do). One of my co-workers and I have been talking about weight loss (she's about fifty pounds overweight) and I shared my HCG story with her. I explained that 500 calories really isn't just 500 calories and in my 49-day round - I was NEVER hungry. She seemed amazed and I'm bringing her a printout of the allowable P2 foods today. I gave her the link to this wonderful site and she'll sign up when she gets a computer at home. I told her about the loading days and that she HAS to take the hcg during them otherwise she's over-eating unnecessarily. I hope she jumps on with us!

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, everyone! P3D6 for me, and .6 lb under my LDW. Still didn't wake up with much of an appetite. I'm going to have a protein shake this morning and add an egg to it. I have a steak to grill for dinner but I don't know what to have for lunch.

Good luck on your egg day, Violet. Everyone else, I hope today finds you well!

Oh! I forgot to share that a co-worker of mine just came back from a 2 week vacation yesterday. I asked her, "So, do I look thinner than the last time you saw me?" She looked at me and said, "Girl, you need to buy clothes that fit you and stop wearing baggy jeans!" The problem with this? My "baggy" jeans were my size 16's that are not even a month old!!

Wait. Did I say problem?

Which means that I will have to go shopping. Again. Such a chore... NOT!

Honestly, I have not been in a size 14 since before my daughter was born. Almost 20 years!

HCG, I you!

Hi Paula. When you do a GY CD, how much do you eat of it in a day? Is it full fat? Just curious. I love GY and think I'd try that if/when I need to do a CD.

I do 2 containters spread out over 4 meals. I do full fat GY (Voskos brand if I can get it) and you can add some berries to it too. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't! It's my best CD, always works for me.

Paula-bummer on the egg day. It's not a good CD for me either, but usually something I have on hand. Hope you have a stong weekend!

LB-WTG!! Glad to hear it's settling in and you're still shrinking!! KUTGW!

Violet-glad you're so motivated!! I might suggest mixing up your Cd's since you're doing them in a row. Curious how well that'll work. Please share .

Miami-that sounds like a good restaurant. Wish we had one out here. It's nice to find a good, trustworthy local joint. I feel that way aobut Pita Jungle here in AZ.

Marie-sorry about the achy hip. Hope you get some relief!

Kelli-sounds like it's time for some shopping-couldn't make it w/o my coffee maker! I broke my work cell phone charger yesterday. Gotta' break that news to my boss today .

I'm down 0.2 and still w.i. my window, despite working out yesterday, eating dinner later than normal and out, and having NSA Froyo!! I'm happy , don't get me wrong, but I was prepared for the worst. I am hungry this morning and tried to watch my portion at dinner (yummy chipoltle chicken salad at Oreganos!) I need to keep it clean today as I could see the 2nd day effect, but I don't usually. I haven't done a GYCD yet!! This is a first!! I really think there is something to the set point/stall weight and stabilizing. At least I hope so!! There'd better be some up side to long stupid stalls while eating 500 cals a day!!

I seem to be leaning out in my legs too. I was shaving my legs yesterday and noticed so much more muscle tone and shape to them. They're still unpresentable to the general public, , but much better than they've been since I was 15!! This is a first too!!

Hope you have a great day.

[QUOTE=KelliC;14904086]I've passed a Pollo Tropical restaurant on my way to my Atlas Orthogonal doc (it's a 45 min drive) we done have one nearby and I wondered what kind of food they had. I think that will be a stop on my next trip

Kelli---what part of Florida do you live in? And yes--i highly recommend Pollo Tropical! They are a cuban owned chain that started down here in S. Florida and have gotten HUGE because they are SO good. They marinate the chicken overnight and they also make their own beans in house everyday. The firepits they cook the chicken on are huge and its fun to watch them grill the chicken. Of course they have excellent rice, bread, and plantain(tropical bananas) items, but i just pretend they arnt there....LOL They also have ribs and wings now added to the menu--cooked the same way---oh and dont forget the sauces! They have about 10 but my faves are the Amazon, curry mustard, garlic cilantro.

As for me--i had a 2lb gain this morning--im not worried--TOM is here and im very bummed about his unwelcome arrrival. My wedding anniversary is this weekend and my hubby and i are doing a mini-get away --and stupid TOM is gonna be tagging along--SO unromantic! *BLAH*) I also ate dinner way later than normal last night as i was working late @ The spa and didnt get home til 10pm. I am so annoyed about this weekend-----i had all these lovely plans and TOM is gonna screw it up!

Well, I figured if drumsticks worked, chicken wings would too. So just baked up a huge batch (I prefer it over frying since I can get a crispier skin), and ate some every few hours till full. I'll be repeating this for tomorrow, assuming I don't make it into my range tomorrow.

Yes, definitely have doubled up on my iron until my eyes/tongue look a normal color. I think some of my fatigue this last round was probably not the low calories but the iron...you start to feel it before you can see it. My DS did call me rainbow veins the other day...I am thinking they show up more when I'm low. I have backed way down on the magnesium too, in case that was a problem. I probably need a fresh blood test to see where I'm at.

I am not really doing greek yogurt, which tends to have cream mixed in, but homemade full fat yogurt. I do include the strawberries (yum!), but prefer my homemade yogurt...but cant' afford to make it with cream. I do 6 or 7 cups, but I think the original CD specs call for just 32 ounces. Anyways, I think the term Greek yogurt just means full fat yogurt...someone once said in Greece there is no "greek yogurt", just no diet low fat yogurts. I don't get what 0% Greek yogurt is, but just probably marketers trying to cash in on the greek yogurt craze.

I'm down to 166 today, -1 from LDW. It's because I fell asleep before dinnertime, though. DH had foot surgery yesterday and I didn't sleep at all the night before, soo....I passed out about the time the kids' pizza got here, lol.

Anyway, I did pretty good the other part of the day. Just never got to my big salad.

My calories, because I'm counting them at this early point in the P3 game, came in around 1100, and my 'goal' is to work up to 1980/day.

Happy anniversary to those celebrating this week! Pollo Tropical rings a bell for me, too - I only ate there a couple times, but we used to live in Weston and the West Pines area (now up near Tampa/Clearwater) so I'd see them all the time.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Oh i forgot to tell you guys about this. Fried "rice". It was pretty good! I got the recipe from a low carb site....i think its called "your lighter side". Anyway--i "riced" a whole head of raw cauli using a cheese grater. It was such a pain to do and i was so mad and was like--"this better be good for all this mission of grating"--haha. After i riced the cauli--i cooked it in a bowl in the micro for about 6 minutes. Then i heated a skillet with about 3-4 tbsp of coconut oil and fried the "rice" with a bunch of garlic and onion powder, and salt/pepper. It was good! I served it with my Mango-habenero glazed pork chops and my Hubby and oldest daughter (and me) killed it! It's a bit of work but i think if i got a better cheese grater it'd be easier!

Im very familiar with both those areas! I live in West Sunrise right next to Weston so im always over there--all my family's doctors are in Weston and i have several nail clients there that i do home visits for. I thought about moving there but i really dont like the layout of Weston in how theres not many ways in/out of the community. So we're looking to buy in West Davie/West Sunrise. I also know West Pines well! One of the Spas i work at is there!

Thanks for the review! I stink at grating - both of mine or unwieldy and I usually cut my hands/fingers while grating so I don't do very much of it! I know that site and others talk about "pulsing" the cauliflower in a food processor also, but I dunno which kind to get. I have a Vitamix blender but veggies just turn into mush in that because you have to have water to cover the blades.

Any ideas on a decently-priced, easy to use, easy to clean food processor?

My morning weigh-in seems to show I'm now only 3 pounds above my LIW. Still not sure what I should do about the colonic I had right at the end and if it artificially lowered my weight.... since I seem to eat high-calorie, within reason of P4, even slightly indulge, and not move much, OR do a CD and drop and jump right back up to this same, OR eat a lean day and stay the same....

Still waiting on Berniece and really sore from therapy yesterday. Not sure if I can/should do another set today or to wait for tomorrow.

Glad to see most of you maintaining well or getting closer! (((HUGS))) to all of you!

I just ordered this one a couple nights ago. I had a mandolin slicer and hated it (from Pampered chef) so I gave that to my sister, who loved it. So, I've also been on the hunt for a good processor.

When I ordered it, they had it on sale and on 3 easy-payment plan, but I see that's no longer the case. Still, they do have a 30-day guarantee and I've never had a problem with QVC before (I'd say I order maybe once a year..)

Anyway, when it gets here I'll be glad to let you know what I think of it, and there's also a video of the presentation they had on tv the other night if you click the "video" tab.

I rice my cauliflower in my food processor. I love using it in place of rice and mashed potatoes, and even pizza crust!

My menu today is:

Breakfast: Protein shake with 1/2 cup lowfat cottage cheese, 1/2 cup strawberries, and 1 egg. Iced coffee with hwc.

Lunch: 2 roasted chicken breasts, no skin. One navel orange.

Dinner will be: Grilled 7oz filet mignon, 1 cup sliced strawberries

Approx total calories: 1600
Approx protein: 208g (see C'Marie, still loving the protein, lol)

And i know you prob are--but are you taking your iron supplements? I have to take one as well ---i am anemic too---i used to get outta breath just climbing the dam stairs!
Paula, how do you bake your chicken wings? Marinade? S&P? On a rack? Spices? Just plain then toss with topping? I can never seem to get crispy skin on my baked wings but I have an absolutely fabulous super-spicy topping recipe (kind of a "dry" wing--not saucy) for fried wings that I would love to try with baked. I'd love to know how to get them crispy ifyou would share your secret!

Paula and Miamiloca - What kind of iron supps are you guys on? I have had great luck with iron biglycinate in helping my anemia. To get un-anemic (if that's a word!), I take 168-224mg daily (6-8 28mg caps with 500mg vitamin C each time). For maintenance, I take 2-4 caps. It helped get my ferritin, serum and % saturation into the good range. Just a suggestion.

I have a Vitamix blender but veggies just turn into mush in that because you have to have water to cover the blades.

Any ideas on a decently-priced, easy to use, easy to clean food processor?
After grating a whole lot of knuckle into my cauli-rice attempts, I used my food processor as C'Marie suggests. It works great and no shredded knuckle! I can't remember my brand but it's a smallish one that I use for just about everything. A snap to clean too. I will look at the brand when I get home...

As far as P4 goes, still maintaining away over here. Earlier this week I was UP almost 3 pounds from a sweet potato chip experiment. 1oz apparently = 2.9 pounds! Not out of my window, thank goodness, but I probably wouldn't have experimented unless I had been 3 pounds under anyway! Anyway, still working THAT off and hopefully I'll see the low 150's again tomorrow or Saturday.

I have a KitchenAid food processor but got it for a steal because it was a discontinued color, so I can't help. I do know Kohls has a 30% off coupon code going on now... maybe they also have one on sale?

Thanks catkin, I have been really busy at work so I haven't had time to get in here very often. I am still working at staying in my window but have failed if I move my ldw up to 149 I will be 4 pounds over ldw but this is where I have been for most of the time.

I am going to load this weekend and get another P2 in before we go on holidays in Sept.

How are you doing?

Wait. Did I say problem?

Which means that I will have to go shopping. Again. Such a chore... NOT!

Honestly, I have not been in a size 14 since before my daughter was born. Almost 20 years!
HCG, I you!
wtg that is excellent and such a chore to go shopping for new clothes

I do the shake in a bag thing and fill the bag with onion powder, chili powder, oodles of fresh ground pepper and a bit of salt. Pretty much any spices taste good...I've used all kinds of things. Then place on my oiled roaster and bake at 400. In order to really crisp the skin, I have to turn on the broiler and watch *very carefully* so I don't burn. Halfway thru I broil the first side and flip, and broil again at the very end. It takes a long time...far longer than just baking to a safe temperature. I guess an hour or so for the full / not cut up wings or maybe longer, I don't time it. You would think it would overcook but I guess the skin protects it.

When I do make buffalo sauce, I use it as dipping or add to blue cheese dressing...I hate a messy wing!

Sounds like a good suggestion...I"m just using ferrous sulfate plus about 500 mg vitamin c a day (can't tolerate more), and this latest bottle that I started a few weeks ago looks different. The pills are actually a different color, and I wonder if it's not working. However, I had so much more energy today, so hoping I'm on the mend.

Hello P3 peeps Ok so LDW is officially 186.4 and I'm starting P3 at 183.8. I like that nice wiggle room! Started the day with 2 slices SF bacon and 2 scrambled eggs with 1/2 ounce cheese. Had a few bites of some homemade guacamole, a few strawberries, and some broccoli for snack about 10am. It's now 5pm and I've eaten nothing since. I am so NOT hungry that even the thought of eating is making me . Roasting some chicken thighs and cooking up a big batch of chili (to freeze for hubby who's still on P2) so I'll try to eat one of those in a bit. I wasn't expecting to feel like this but now that I think of it the first few days of R1P3 were like this too. Oh what a problem to have, huh?!

Ooooh! That sounds like a job for my Ninja blender--that thing will make short order of anything I put in it! In fact, I mostly only use the pulse option because it'll liquify/pulverize too quickly! I have given up on the cheaply made Bullet and any other standard style blenders.
Dh doesn't like cooked cauliflower but he loves fried rice, I'm going to try this, thanks!
