Let the angels sing! LB is now in P3!
Started the day still at 1.2 lbs under LDW.
I um... well... I got an early start on P3 last night. I was SO hungry and figured it had already been 50 hours since my last dose of hHCG. I had 2 grilled hamburger patties with just some Frank's hot sauce on top. I am balancing that with a light breakfast. Having my Walker Diet cappuccino protein powder with iced coffee and hwc whirled in my blender. Delish! I am still planning on having my 14oz NY Strip steak for lunch, and a garbage salad for dinner with whatever leftovers of the steak sliced in. Celebrate good times... come on!! ![]()

Congratulations!! You are so amazing!! I'm impressed you're under LDW and already "ramping up" to P3 (that's what I call it and do too!). Way to go!! I hope it's an easy P3 for you!! Enjoy eating!! I know I've missed it and I only did 3 weeks!! I start tomorrow officially, but am ramping up a bit today.

Lilac, I'm dying for you to tell me you're cooking Indian. I have managed a not bad chicken curry on this plan, but I miss my jalfrezi and lamb dishes. Nothing on earth makes me happier...like...instantly...than walking into a really good Indian restaurant. The aroma is just bliss!

Thanks everyone!
Today's menu didn't go exactly as planned. The place my friend and I went to for lunch took the NY Strip off the menu but never updated their menu online. It was a HUGE disappointment, not to mention I was not prepared with a Plan B. But in the end, I settled for a chef's salad with bleu cheese dressing and a ribeye steak sandwich without the bread, just the ribeye - which was a pathetic piece of meat, let me tell you. I tried to not eat the cheese in the chef's salad, just a few pieces. So I was feeling a bit let down, luckily I have a GREAT FRIEND and she felt a little responsible since she picked the restaurant. She told me I was not allowed to go home until we went and got me a steak. So I ended up having a 12oz filet that was PERFECT. I put butter on top of it, and butter on top of my steamed cauliflower and broccoli. I was IN HEAVEN! I brought the leftover steak home to slice and serve with my salad tomorrow. I left the container for ONE MINUTE and my puppy had managed to open it, clamp down on the filet, and high tail it upstairs. I chased that dog, got my filet back, rinsed it under the sink, and put it in the fridge. Hey, it was a third of a $35 steak - NO WAY I was gonna waste it!! ![]() So to recap the day - protein shake this morning, chef's salad with bleu cheese dressing and wafer-thin ribeye steak for lunch, filet mignon with steamed cauliflower and broccoli for dinner. I also had a salad with dinner with vinegar and oil because I didn't trust the dressings available. Lettuce, tomato, green pepper, cherry tomatoes, raw broccoli, raw cauliflower, and fresh sliced mushrooms. I had a HUGE appetite today! HUGE! ![]() I hope the scale is kind to me tomorrow! ![]() |

I'm sure it's just fluid retention. You'll lose it tomorrow. Especially since you'll be having prewashed filet leftovers today. |

Thanks! There was no seasoning on the filet, I made sure of that. The ribeye though, who knows.
On one hand, I'm telling myself that I put a lot of weight into my belly last yesterday. Which is not used to having so much quantity in it after 3 months of P2. I've had big ups like this while doing P2 protocol and have lost it the next day, so I am trying to stay rational about this. It was just worrisome, ya know? |

You've done a fantastic job in the past 3 months. Just let it go and do what you know what you need to do and relax. (I hope I can take my own advice too!)

Ok, even w/ a 3lb gain you're 0.2 UNDER LDW!! You're fine. Losing down below your LDW gives you that nice wiggle room (that I wish I had!!) There is a very empty system coming out of P2, and you're refilling it
Give it a few days. Eating at home is your best bet, especially when transitioning into P3. (speaking to myself here too). It's hard b/c we're all waiting to eat out, but jumping in too soon will catch up to you. Bernice, plus lots of water to flush yourself out will drop you back down. Keep it clean today and take it slow (I know, that's hard after being deprived for so long!!). You're doing fine. Give it a few days. ![]()

I know I shouldn't have eaten out. But I have a long list of friends eager to treat me to eating after so long, lol. I don't plan on making it a habit, but there HAD to be a celebration. And that filet was one of the finest that I have EVER had, soooo worth it! I'm actually gonna go slice up the leftover now. It's only got a small chunk out of it, I couldn't get the puppy to spit it out, lol!

LB I would have done the same thing!!! Dang dogs!! Only mine is a french mastiff weighing in at 140 lbs and still growing....really don't know that I would actually consume anything I was able to pry out of his GIANT slobbery mouth, that is IF I could even get it before he swallowed it whole!!

Ya I can totally see me racing the dog upstairs to get a filet out of his mouth - very funny image!
You will be fine, LB - it's just the increase in fat and protein makes the blood volume go up - it'll even out soon. "Wild fluctuations" are normal in P3. |

As others have said, this is probably your body catching up to Bernice, fat, blood volume, etc. plus probably some hidden stuff in dressing or on the steak or somewhere. At least you got a steak out of it. I am 60 days into P4 and had a SALAD out two weeks ago. SALAD, I TELL YOU--and I was up 4.5 pounds!!!!! It was off in two days. It really does get to the point where you get sorta...numb...to the fluctuations. Which is good because we know how to fix it. Keep on keepin' on! ![]() |

Er.... um...
Well I ate out again today, lol. Another filet with butter, another salad with bleu cheese dressing. I gotta keep it together here! But I have SO many people who want to see me EAT SOMETHING, lol. Had a protein shake for breakfast and a salad at home with just some olive oil dressing for lunch. With the left over filet mixed in of course. I did ask about the filet again (different restaurant) and was assured it had not been marinated, rubbed, or even looked at funny. Honestly, my body is just craving steak, steak, steak! Question though? Will eating a steak every day make a steak day not work for me in the future? |

? I don't see a steak day not working just because you're eating steak now. I eat lots of beef and I eat steak every week, steak day or not. They work pretty good most of the time, and sometimes not as good but followed by a truly lean day you get a 2nd day benefit.
