Tipsy's Journal Start Aug 4th 2011

So I decided why not just track it and have some support along the way.

I made a couple of changes to my load days...

Aug. 4 (188.3)- Day 1 of Load: I took the drops only 2 times; lunch and dinner and I at 'normal' drank my water (normal) and went and swam (normal).

Aug. 5 (187.6)- Day 2 of Load: Well today I will load a bit more on fat (mexican) and although I can't eat high fat after having my gallblader out without issues I will do the best I can. Drops will be done 3 times today.

The tweak will be Aug. 6th my '3rd/load day' but not what your thinking. I will eat only approved foods and follow the times I eat and such but the only differents will be the avocado I will have. I don't like them but you know my doctor said if I was going to do this it is what he wanted me to do...so I will do it.

Aug. 7th and beyond will be the 500 calories; no cheats because I planned well I guess. But when I say no cheats I do mean that no cheats my doctor has said when I workout for more then 45 min. hard if I feel I am hungry I get a bite or two more of protine if I feel I need it.

What is my goal during this...well duh it is to drop some pounds! Given my history with dropping wight my goals are small...I would like to drop about 10lbs. during this round but would love 25lb. but it is more about just starting somewhere at this point!

Anyway there you have it...the TIPSY Journal has begun!

I loaded on Thursday and Friday of this week as well! Today (Saturday) is the first day of VLCD (and the rest of my life!!) So cliche! I SO want this to work. I've spent the last three weeks reading everything I could get my hands on!

I've never actually been excited about starting a diet! Go figure!

Looking forward to getting to know you guys ~ and hoping to join the others who have had great success with hcg!

how are U doing hun..I've had my lunch, no hunger or urge to stray off the diet, so far so good haha and welcome Mom2Madi..your starting the same time as me as well

Tipsy & Kimmie! It's great that we started on the same day! Glad to have some buddies!

Yesterday was good ~ no real hunger ~ it was just weird to be at home all day and not eating something - snacks, etc. I am a grazer - would just grab a little here and there - never overloading a plate - but eating way too many calories of the wrong types of food.

I think I've been excited to see if this would work for me that it never occurred to be to cheat ~ I want to prove to myself that I can lose weight ~ and hcg seems like the tool I need to get it done!

I'm down 2.5!

So how are you doing Kimmie? Well I am down 5.5 so far. No hunger issues for me so far!

I am/was a grazer also so I do understand. We have a fully loaded kitchen in the office that I stock...talk about hard to not graze!

Aug. 6th: So I ate the approve food but did drink a few drinks. Yep last load day. Anyway at dinner everyone had beer brats and all the fixings even my fav. Pot salad I made. But I ate my chicken, veggie and fruit. My husband asked if I wanted a mini cupcake since it was a 'load' day and I did have half of a bite. LOL Said good bye to chocolate and booze! lol

Aug. 7th (did not WI cause I was at the lake): I did great on my food but when I got to counting the calories I was not pleased how below 500 they were so I had some more veggies. I talked to my doctor and was told to listen to my body if I was truely hungry to eat something. So come 8:30 I sautaed some veggie and ate that (1/4 cup) and I was happy. I also have to drink a Poweraid or Propel (zero calories) each day because of the heat in TX and working out. So I do that! I know not exactly the approved protcal but I am sticking to the approved foods except the poweraid/propel because the doc is calling the shots!

At the lake I made my family their food and I just packed my own food for the boat. I drank water, water, water, and a poweraid zero. Everyone was drinking and eating and stuff but I didn't really miss it. I can say that I smelled the bread and it was a true test because I love soughdough but I just went for a swim while they finished eating. THey had snacks and I had one Stick thing (a whole 10 calories) and went and swam and floated while they ate. My family and in laws are pretty supportive and know that I just graze so I jumped in the lake!

Aug. 8th:

So on 8/4 I was at 188.3 and today 8/8 I am at 182.8 a loss of 5.5lbs! I actually can say I know most of it is not water weight simply because of how I eat before this. Anyway I am pretty excited about the loss.

So far today not hungry. Drinking my water and looking foreard to my chicken breast and veggie for lunch.

The hardest thing for me is not drinking 20-30 min. before or after my drops. I am so thristy.

I was prepared to be a little backed-up but I am having the other issue. :-/ But I am hopeful that my body will adjust to the drops soon...I have an all day confrance Thurs & Fri and don't want to be running out for the bathroom! lol

Annoyed

So a lady I work with PT has been on HCG drops just finish round one and she only lost 12lbs and she looks so much better and now that she is off she is less of a crab. Anyway because my loss was 5.5 since I started Aug. 4 and because I tweaked my program based on my doctors request she was like "that is all water weight and you are going to fail at this because of the tweak"

Anyway it really annoyed me because first I know it isn't mostly water because of how I ate before and mostly it annoyed me because as her weight loss stalled I was always encouraging her.

I regreat ever telling her I was going on drops! UGH

Are all people that way???

Sorry to hear that Tipsy! Some people are just haters and will be! That is definitely jealousy talking - she stalled - you are working the program and are on track to beat her number - definitely a competition!

Down another .6 for a total of 6.1 since 8/4! I think I swam too late in the evening last night so hopeful tomorrow will show a better drop but let's face it .6 in a day I will take any day!! :-)

Getting ready to go walk and head to tge office.

I have a slight headache today but to be honest I think it has more to do with no contacts than drops!

I'm down another 1 pound today for a total of 5.5 - weight after 3 days of VLCD... I'm encouraged and optimistic! I actually feel like I can stick to it.

That is awesome!!

I hope I can stick to it an if tge scale doesn't stop I know I can! I have lots of triggers so getting past tgem is tough but press on is what I tell myself.

So my son had a doctor appointment today that I forgot about...I was a little sore from yesterday so I was laying in bed about to roll over and nap. And that turnned into a mad dash to the appointment, than xray on his back and just now home and drank some water. I wasn't too hungry (took my drops at 7 this morning) but then it just hit me I was hungry about 15 min. ago. So I heated up my lunch! My husband said I need to just drink my water like normal because normally at this time I have had most my water for the day in. Live and learn!

So when I eat I have found that I have an RUSH to get to the bathroom. I so far have NOT had any backed up feeling; just the opisite. Hope this passes a little but I don't want to be backed up either.
