BWAHAHAHAHA!!!

I have spent the whole day closet hunting. Bagging up tons of stuff to go go go never to return again.

I am SOOOOOOOoooo size 8 now. Hadn't realized that because in summer, I mostly wear dresses/skirts. 8 is still an in between size for me (on the bottom...I'll never be smaller than an 8-10 on top coz no matter what I weigh, the boobs remaineth steadfast in their copiousness) But...it's nice to have some options. I have too many formal dresses. Can't decide what to do about that yet...I should probably get rid of some of them but I do wear them and it's nice not to have to wear the same thing over and over. I am tossing every steenkin black thing I have that isn't formal (except for my leather skirt and pants which now fit me again!!! and one day dress that I adore) because I'm sick SICK SICK of dressing like I'm in mourning!

This is awesome. Still can't believe it works because nothing, and I do mean nothing, else did.

End of August is when I plan to take my "after' pics. And I will put the pants on for it! (if they're not too big...hehehehe....actually...you'll get leather pants either way. I have an amazing RED pair that are one size smaller)

Fun, fun, fun! Nothing like playing in the closet all day!

Today I "debuted" some of my reclaimed clothes I found the other day, and got so many compliments I almost felt giddy.

THANK YOU, hcg diet. If I could hug a diet, I would.

it's really a revelation to me...how little I've had to wear, and how stubborn I was about not buying anything to wear because I couldn't deal with the size! The weight gain, for me, has been relatively recent (for a soon to be 54 year old woman, "recent" is about 2 years). Prior to that, I've been the same size since I was 20, except for a period of time when I was ill and got very thin. My poor husband! He sure must have been sick of those 6 or 7 things I wore over and over again! Perhaps it's the variety in my wardrobe, as much as the weight loss, that he's enjoying now!

We have season tickets for the symphony and ballet. This season is going to be fun! I can...like...chooooose what I want to wear. I will have options!

You'll have to start getting ready an hour earlier to give yourself time to try on 10 or 12 different things!!

I remember how to do that! My 17 year old is so cute...she has been on me to shop, but I don't want to do that yet. My birthday is the 20th and I want money or gift cards...but not going to spend it until I'm finished. I think....I'm going to buy a new swimsuit (or two) because I hope to find a place I can swim this autumn. I love swimming...laps. It's the only thing in the world where you can get great exercise, not notice the sweating, and go someplace so quiet inside your head. It's also really good for my old people joints. I played sports and did gymnastics as a kid. My knees sound like velcro when I bend them. I also had back surgery about 5 years ago, so swimming is a very happy thing for me.

thank you so much, C'Marie!

I just now finished up the day's work. After I finished my drawers and closet, I decided to tackle the big tubs of "off season" clothes in my basement. Good Lord. I got rid of a lot of that stuff just on general principle. Old, out-dated. Kept a handful of things to wear to paint, clean or mow the lawn and a couple of ugly but very warm things for playing in (shoveling) the snow. At the end of the day I had an *embarrassing* eight 33 gallon bags of clothing to donate and one to throw out. I did purses and some shoes as well. I still ought to part with about 30 pair of shoes, but I think I'll wait one more winter. Since I can wear so many more things, I may end up being more fun with my footwear again as well.

One very happy result of cleaning out those tubs...I found my cashmere robe. I thought it was buried in my closet and when I came up dry there I was worried that I had somehow gotten rid of it. But it was in a tub in my basement so I tossed it in a dryer bag for a couple of minutes to freshen it up, showered and put it on. Yum. My husband bought it for me about 4 years ago and it is just heavenly. It's too warm...I need to take it off. But it feels sooooo good

Yay that's great!

I went through about a month ago and did the same thing in my closet. I threw out some clothes and donated the rest. I moved all of my small clothes up and today I am wearing a size 4 suit to work! People keep asking me if I went shopping this summer and the answer is no I just fit into my smaller sized clothes now.

I am keeping one pair of my "fat jeans" as a reminder . . .

I really don't like shopping much because I'm old and I've already lived through whatever is the current style at least once. It may be getting slightly better, but the last 5-6 years have sported trends I can't believe that society has fallen for a second time.

But shopping I will have to do soon. In September, I think. Or I might even wait until October and see what "reshaping" happens in P3-4 before I commit to buying new stuff. I want to buy some great jeans and trousers...but I want to be where I'm going to be so I can get some I am really going to love for a while.
