Morning!

Just a quick pop in. Gotta' take the girls to camp then I'm hitting the gym.

Paula-that stinks!! Maybe you'd be one of those lucky ones who loses below LDW? Hang in there!

Cheryl!!

I'm down a bit from yesterday's mysterious gain. I'm still in the middle, so I'm trying to look at it like a stall. I'm hitting the gym today and think it's bernice who's messing w/ the scale. I did that tea last week and it cleaned me out. I think that drop the end of last week was from that and the regain is the whiplash from that. I'm skipping the tea in the future and will just wait it out.

Have a good week all!!

p3 about the same, stabilizing at and slightly above top of my 2lb window. but will load for R2 on 8/13-14. just going to work on maintaining here.

going n vacation thurs and will try and sneak my scale in the car. does anyone know if the accuracy gets off when the scale is tottled around in a car?

I'm back & ready for a new round! P2 starts tomorrow. I get to finish my loading at Fenway Park tonight.

For the month of July, I have been on maintenance. During this month I have been on vacation, had 2 family birthday celebrations, ate out many times and hosted an extended family cookout. I am so excited to say I was 1.4lb over LDW as of Saturday. I wasn't 'bad' all the time but I did eat some verboten foods such as carrot cake, ice cream, chocolate cake, ice cream, potatoes, ice cream.

Did I mention I had ice cream? Mostly low carb but occasionally not.

Maybe my metabolism has changed!

Have a great Monday everyone.

Still maintaining in my window. Yesterday I ate more cashews than I should have, and am up today, but still in the window.

So, you're on week 4 of P2, right? I'm a week behind you and my losses look a lot like yours. Are you doing strict protocol this round? I'm sorry I keep forgetting!! I think you're pretty strict. I know you're exercising too. I keep hoping my losses will pick up this week. I hope they do for you too!! Keep plugging away!! Down is better than up!! And how do you like the Rx? I tend to think that would be the most effective hcg, but most folks lose the same on either.

That is quite impressive!! You've done great!! I didn't do as well, but I do have to say that I don't feel as "deprived" this round. I was so gluttonous during my summer that I feel quite satisfied not going hog wild this next P3/P4. I hope I still feel that way in a few weeks .

I just hit the gym, did 30 min of HIIT cardio and am done. Whew! I need a nice shower then something to eat. I just took my first dose of the day. The hunger control this round has been wonderful!!

Hope we all lose this week!!

Paula -- sorry that the darned scale jumped back up on you -- grrrr!

Also sorry to those who have had slower losses than you'd like -- hope they get better next round!

I didn't weigh this morning -- but I have decided to take a little p3 break from the drops, since the scale is not moving anyhow... and then restart the hhcg when I am ready to do a real round -- I'm thinking a couple of weeks from now, and then I'll be in sync with a couple of the rest of you.

I am definitely seeing some inch loss now, though, and hopefully that will continue during this break -- I kinda can't imagine that it wouldn't, because I am eating super clean, and working out so much. Who knows, maybe the break from the hhcg will get the scale moving again too.... it seems possible.

In any event, I don't want my body to stop responding to it altogether, and I suspect that's possible even with the hhcg.

I also wonder if my hunger level will skyrocket... I guess we'll see if a couple of days.

Old thread:

Thanks, Cathy! I appreciate the birthday wishes! The party was yesterday so just chilling today. Glad to be back to normal eating. It's kind of overcast here today so it should stay a little cooler than they predicted. Cooler is always better, in my book!

Ellen, one ambien on route to and/or from Hawaii won't make you sleep eat or sleep walk. That happens when you are in your comfortable home environment and it doesn't happen to everyone. I think Xanax will chill you out but not do much to help you sleep in that uncomfortable flight. Do what you think is best. And yes, 10 mg of Ambien is the maximum dose. If you don't drink, you won't need to. I was just sayin'.

Paula, I'm really sorry you had that ovulation bump-up on the scale at this very inopportune time. Maybe if you know it is from that, you can call the LDW as the low weight you had just prior to this. I know you're running out of pellets, so it's a thought.

Julie, actually I am up a bit still from my signature, had a run in with some more sugary carb things! UGH!! No, I am not strict at all! I am eating around 800-1200 depending on the day and am exercising twice a day most days, so not surprised its not moving down. If I would eat like P2, It would probably help, but then it makes me want to binge eat, so I am just "coasting"... I want to lose, but dont want to keep eating off and gaining 10 and relosing those 10, etc... Yours will pickup! I just know it will for you

I'll be packing a scale with me when I go camping on the 14th. Then again, I may not. But I will be taking my food scale + paper journal to keep track. I love the way I'm eating so much that I'm going to pack the same foods to eat while I'm there. We will make dinners of course, but BF and lunch will probably be less of a production. I will eat four dinners there and will most likely eat my food for the rest of the time. I will stay away from junk foods.

She got a full and thorough bath (thank the Lord for disposable gloves) and I got a crappy dog to mark the day. Do you know how I spent my 40th birthday? In a FL hospital getting my gallbladder out! First surgery in my life. The 40's sucked. (So far! Got one full year to redeem them, and I'm doing just that!)

Vent away, Julie! Vent some more if you need to. You really didn't get your money's worth this that post. I was losing really slowly before I decided to go "off road." I think I'm only losing a bit slower than I would have been if I stayed the course. Hang in there, cutie! Good times always follow on the heels of the bad.

I'm only up 0.2 after my controlled pizza party yesterday! Total calories for the day were right at 1300 and I know that I'm due for Bernice to show up. So, vertually no pain or gain! Lake tomorrow for more diving and swimming. (Not scuba, just jumping head-first, for those who may be confused.)

Have an awesome week, ladies! Hugs and kisses to all! KUTGW!

Julie -- seriously, your lack of losing this round is just NOT FAIR. I had a two week stall during weeks two and three my first round, and then it picked up after that... so maybe yours will too.

OMG, Cheryl, that image of your dog was priceless! May the 50s be much better than the 40s -- beginning a year early!

OHHH I know it, when I am not in the mist of it!! I tell myself this all the time, but sometimes something attacks my brain, throws me into it and then I am swimming in sugar and wanting more sugar and carbs. Its horrifying. I even convince myself to run or something to help get it out of my system and then I still eat more after. I hate those binges!! I hope not to have another one..

to Cheryl!! Woo hoo!!

Just checkin' in. Been super busy all weekend-work related and barn-sale related. We have to get rid of some stuff! We needed the room in the barn for the cows' hay (we had 200 bales delivered!!), and it is just time to get rid of stuff. Planning on running the sale over next weekend. Don't know what we will do with the money-we want a new tv, and we have a wedding to start saving up for (next year!!!).

DD started getting serious again about her diet and exercise regime. She took some time off; I asked her if her head caught up to her weight loss. She giggled, and said, "I think so. I got on the scale and I had gained a pound, and it freaked me out! So I am ON it!" Haha-gotta love her enthusiasm. She is a good motivation for me, too!

Really sore from moving heavy boxes around. I also had not seen "berniece" in a while, but she visited today. Whew. Not down this morning, but didn't expect it. I do expect it tomorrow, tho!!

Sorry I am not all caught up on the threads! I will try and catch up. I will try to post again later on after I finish reading. Have a great Monday!!

Thanks, Maureen! As usual, no moss growing on you! Hope your barn sale goes well! Wish I could come and do some shopping! (Don't think I ever knew you had cows or a barn.)

Catj --

You seriously must have a strong sensitivity to sugars and carbs in general -- it seems to act like an addiction, in addition to causing all that inflammation. I know some people are like that.

Have you talked to a doctor about testing blood sugar, etc?

May you be strong, and never have any such thing happen again!

Cat-I'm sorry hon!! That's very hard to manage. I too am a carb addict and cant' stop at one bite or meal. I have been strong this round, which is why I'm annoyed the scale hasn't budged. If I cheated I'd be ok w. that. The up and down 10lbs sounds just like me!! I'm so sensitive!! Hope you work it back off. You've got the exercise thing down. I enjoy gum chewing and drinking lots of water w/ crystal light in it to keep me from eating. You're probably doing a good reset on your metabolism through this phase at least.

Mini, Cheryl, Cat and others-thanks! I just needed some validation that it wasn't fair, and that it would pick up again . Thanks!! I want to believe the scale will work it's way down this week. I am willing to go another week if I must, but I'd like to be in the 140's at 23 days. Or be stuck there for a while. We'll see.

On a positive note, I got compliments from my bro, sil and her mom yesterday. Made me feel good. I do feel thinner, even if the scale is being a bugger!

Off to look into my girls curriculum. My younger dd(8) is ADHD and we've been trying to manage her impulsiveness and other challenges w/o medication, but she continues to make bad decisions. I'm considering having her re-evaluated and am doing research into possible treatments. Dh is ADHD and medicated as an adult, and she's very much like him. It's quite stressful, I feel like I need to supervise her constantly to keep her out of trouble and safe. I've been reading up a lot on it and praying about it a lot. I am hopeful a good Dr can help. We'll see.

Just checking in with a little late afternoon bragging... I was able to do weighted squats with a 55 lb barbell! I actually could have squatted more, but I couldn't lift any more over my head safely. I really need some squat stands!

Hey, Diane! Where you been hiding? Thanks for the birthday wishes. How's your foot doing? Much better, I hope.

Mini, I can just picture you with the barbell! You look beautiful, baby.

Julie, you sound like you have a lot on your plate. I hope you can find an effective treatment for your DD. Good luck with the research. There's got to be something out there that can help. Hang in there, cutie.

Things are always interesting that's for sure. Up today but that huge lump of fat in my upper tummy is down about half. Where did it go. I just feel slimmer which is just crazy.
Julie, do you feel any different? Your weight is going down some, but do you feel slimmer?
How about you Cathy, your loss looks good to me but how are you feeling inch wise.

This was really a Monday. I left all my electronics home, phone, itouch and nook. Thought I had loden green pants on but they were black. With brown shoes. I had a plain tan shirt on so that was OK. Left my lab coat at home. Just a bunch of little things.

Cool. Do you do this at home or at a gym?
