Hope you have a fun, safe trip. Maybe things will start getting better.
I could write a book on the cracks in my feet... I have literally taken an electric sander to them at times, and never felt a thing. The best thing I have found for them is to slather vaseline on them at bedtime, cover with good socks, and go to sleep. Sometimes my heel cracks are so deep, when I step out of bed it's so painful I nearly fall to the floor. This is the only thing that has ever helped, and usually much better the 1st morning. Not sure why this happens, started for me around 18, i'm 40 now and it's never gone completely away. |

Dazy-never heard of a cheese/apple CD! - sorry I didn't reply b/c I didn't know much about it. I'm a GY girl myself.
That would be a fun one though I imagine!! Anyone vouch for it's effectiveness? I don't do much fruit in P3, so not sure what my body would do w/ it. Enjoy your vaca, sunburn and all .I had a yummy nectarine today, and ate out at Red Robin (onion soup and cobb salad). Had some leftover london broil for dinner, a lc yogurt and some cottage cheese. Hope the scale doesn't punish me, I'm at the "still afraid to eat" phase. We'll see. I know the CD drill if needed, but it'd be nice not to need one!! Have a good night guys!

Having a tough time stabilizing
Hey Everyone! We're back from the coast and I'm UP two pounds from yesterday.
I haven't gotten back into exercise yet, but will start walking on my treadmill this week. I stuck with low carb while we were away and did great. I just don't get it. I'm four pounds above my LDW, this is only day #8 of P3 for me and I've already done three CDs. Today, we went out for breakfast and I wanted to do a CD so I had the seafood omelette and nothing but coffee and water the rest of the day - so it was sort've a reverse CD with eggs. I did notice that when I have a regular breakfast and lunch and then a protein shake for dinner, it's easier for me to stabilize vs. when I eat a "regular" dinner. I've stuck to plan and even though I'm grateful for hcg and the amazing results it's given me, I want to stabilize in P3 for thirteen more days and then do the same for three weeks in P4 before I begin my second round. Is anyone else having a hard time stabilizing?

What kind of shakes are you doing for dinner? Could they be causing a rebound effect that waits a couple of days? I know whey does that for me. Or soy - which isn't P3 protocol - to my understanding.
Can you give us what your menu looks like? Maybe you're not eating enough protein? |

I didn't see your post as a "question" - I saw it as you were deciding between 2 CD's.... eggs or apple/cheese - or both? So it wasn't clear to me that you were asking something at all... just choosing.
You're not invisible to me! Sometimes I just read too fast I guess. Quote:

This is a typical menu: Breakfast - 3 fried eggs, 2 breakfast sausages Lunch - salad (two cups of lettuce, 4-6 ounces, cheese, artichoke hearts and full-fat dressing) Dinner - 4-6 ounces of protein (need to add more veggies). I didn't exercise at all during P2 because I didn't want to expend extra energy unnecessarily. I drink about a gallon of water a day and still aren't exercising, but am going to start this week. I think you're right about the protein and I may even be unintentionally under-eating. The morning after my last day of the 500-calorie plan (without hhcg) I dropped down to 193.8 and was under my LDW. My first CD I lost 2.6, my second CD I lost one pound and we'll see what tomorrow brings. BTW, what is a lean day? Any suggestions? Please and thank you. ![]() Last edited by Violet_Dream; 08-07-2011 at 11:13 PM.. |

2 things:
I don't believe you are eating enough protein. The MINIMUM you should be eating is 2-3 eggs in the a.m. and double the ounces you were eating on VLCD for each lunch and dinner. Cheese on salad isn't enough grams of protein, and 4-6 ounces at dinner isn't quite enough --- Which type of protein is it in the powder - soy, rice, whey, egg, hemp, etc etc... that might be problematic even if it is low carb. And I don't believe you're eating enough, period. Are you retaining water in your ankles? If so, I believe your next CD should be an egg, steak, and cheese day. Do you know how ? Quote:

I have read recently that whey is suspect in bloating and weight gain. I don't use it in P3, it appears some people are more sensitive to it than others.
And YES, you need to up the animal protein in your everyday meals and certainly on a CD. Lean days: 2-3 eggs, very little butter large Salad or veggies (nonstarchy) and 7-8 ounces protein for lunch and dinner each one low-glycemic fruit lots of water. That's how I do them anyway. I might put a little fat in there somewhere or a taste or two of some kind of P3 "treat" but it is what I usually follow with when I do a CD.... |

![]() But also I have found foot creams with urea in them help tremendously, as well as keeping my feet covered in socks almost all the time. I wear them until it's time to go somewhere, then change into sandals. I am up 2.2 pounds to 135 today. So 3.8 pounds above window and 5.8 above LDW. I have not done anything crazy to deserve these ups....in fact my last 6 days food average is almost exactly my BMR (1745 calorie average). Planning a CD today, normal eating tomorrow, diff CD Wed, normal eating Thur, rinse repeat. I know bernice and hormones could have something to do with it all, but I feel frustrated to see my entire rounds' weight loss getting (literally) eaten up. ![]() I did expect some bounce up today as I decided to have Linda Sue's deep dish last night...the sodium always gets me for sure, but I wanted to feel satisfied before a CD.

Does anyone know the rules for an egg day? Can you have deviled eggs? Can you have bernaise sauce with poached eggs?
I'm thinking egg day Wednesday... |

I know there is anew thread but I will post here. I have done an egg day. This is how to do it. You can have between 10 and 12 eggs for the day. This is the ratio Biz suggests that is best for weight loss. You may have deviled eggs, egg salad, eggs scrambled in butter. So yes, you may add fat to your eggs. But nothing else!! Nothing like steak and eggs, seafood and eggs, eggs and tomato. Egg day is nothing but eggs!! Good luck!! I love egg days. |

Doing It Right,
If what you are having to look for is the new thread, it's here: Simeons Protocol -- P3/P4 Week of 8/8/11 . Just click on the link and you will get there. I put the link toward the bottom of the past week's thread and this is just a custom I observed after joining this list. Each week has a new thread so they don't get too long, or at least that's why I think the custom is observed. I volunteered to put up the new threads for both Simeons groups (P2 and P3/P4) because that's where I visit and post.
