Happy Tuesday, Fozzie!
I made catfood yesterday with ground chicken, liver and egg, and I mix it by hand, that's why my hand smelled funny! I freeze it into little cups and the cat gets some raw food along with his grain free kibble. I need to get him back to eating meat with bones but he's at BF;s house and I'm afraid BF would be grossed out handling raw chicken and parts to feed the cat. Cornish hen is a great portion for for my former small cat, she could eat the whole thing without me having to cut it for her. My current bigger male cat is kinda lazy about it. i'm sorry your scale is having a breakdown. How old is it? I've had mine for a decade now and only changed the batteries once. You should make purple noodles! Y'know it's hard to get a good red color with the liquid food colors. I remember that from my Mom's cake decorating lectures. It tends to turn pink instead.

3:30.... fozzie my roosters aren't even awake at that time!!
![]() I'm still following your success.. In know this month stall doesn't feel like success.. BUT I so admire your perseverance. Did you get your hcg ordered? I'm doing a short hcg protocol strict round. I gained about 15 pounds due to adding in exercise and really struggling with portion control, so decided to cycle back into the VLCD/hcg for a shorterish, about 30 day round. I did 3 weeks phase 3 and 1 1/2 weeks of phase 4. It is chancy.... but I feel AWESOME so far.. today is day 8... but like you I just about threw my scale out the window today. I'm not weighing daily because I decided to maintain my exercise routine, scaled back a little. I do 2 aerobic miles M, W, F, and 15-20 minutes of weights with 1 aerobic mile T, Th, Sat. I know the exercise will cause the weight loss to be slower... but I'm hoping to continue to build muscle while the fat flushes. AND I always gain when I add exercise back in during phase 3... so decided this would be my BEST option of keeping in shape, avoiding phase 3 gains due to exercise and ending at a better place for my body/muscles, etc. Hang in there Fozzie.... we are rooting for you!!! ![]() ![]()

I'm still waiting to hear back from some potential suppliers. I need to start walking or better yet bowling everyday. I'm trying another experiment before my HCG rounds....will let everyone know when results are in.

Happy Thursday! I'm oil pulling with coconut oil and xylitol this morning. Hope it's a beautiful sunny day for you today!!!
Saw a pork butt at the store and was surprised to find it's not actually the butt of the pig but the butt of the shoulder of the pig. I got laughed at by my BF and the store employee! ![]() |

You should have said the employee was a butt he should have educated you nicely (better to keep a loyal customer). The pork butt is part of the shoulder away from the lower leg(front leg). The shoulder comes with skin on it the butt no skin. I just did 2 big ones over 20lbs and they are wonderful....lost of great fat. If anything even butt is getting too lean.Pork belly is fattier but more expensive?!!!!!

No harm, the employee was being friendly about it, it was my exclamation that made them both laugh actually. I just realized this year that ham was a Lean meat, so I'm really not that knowledgeable about pork meat. I like bacon, ham, and chitterlings, Pork loin less often cause I don't know what to do with it.
I'm glad to know that the Butt has lots of good fat, cause I don't really want a lot of lean meat. That's why I buy ribeye as my choice of steak. lots of fat on it. |

Pork loin is leaner than chicken breast. Without basting.....and if even cooked a milisecond past pink center and you can't hardly choke it down!

So... we have learned that most pork on the market is from pigs that they have bred to be lean... because of our countries anti-fat movement. SO sad. We get our feeder piglets from a farmer that uses mixed breads instead of all Great White... GW are the ones they have bred to be super lean "the new white meat"... as they promote it. YUCK! Eventually we would LOVE to have Birkshires as they are a beautiful dark marbled meat.. they are a heritage bread. If you can find a local farmer to buy a 1/2 or whole pig from.. you'd LOVE it!! ![]() |

Crazy Man! Well, I'm Glad your HCG is on the way. You've always had good results with it, at least as far as I've read , unless i missed something.
I'm looking at cauliflowers, your caulimash is making me want some. How do you make yours? I use a lot of cream cheese and butter. |

You are going to think I'm crazy but my mom made real mashed potatoes like this. Cook potatoes mash with a little MAYO serve with butter or gravy. That's the way I make caulimash plus a little garlic....OF COURSE!! Garlic RULES!!! My HCG should be here by Wed. test it and away I go!

Hmm, Interesting! Mayo? Of course Garlic Rules!! Hahaha! I agree!
I think i started using so much cream cheese to help the stability texture, but I think steaming or roasting it first, for me, will keep it from being too watery. I don't want it to be the same as mashed potatoes, just not watery. I think roasted cauliflower might make a really nice sweet roasted flavor mash, eh? |

Never roasted it no experience. The cauli has to be well drained and not to much mayo so it's not to thin. Cream chese might give it more body.

I love the "Classic" Texas recipe: Meat, and Grease, and HEAT so just meat well marbled and HOT chilis. When I make chili I use pork or beef or both, onions, chilis, tomatoes, red chili peppers, and chili powder. NO BEANS!!!!(rocket fuel for me also carbs). Most chili snobs think tomatoes are a mortal sin.
When I eat chili it's usually from work at the snak bar. The manager of the snak bar makes a pretty good fairly mild chili.......My Wif-ee thinks it's pretty hot!!! It's got beans. |
