I take it to help flush out excess water, and it does help keep things "regular" for me and I have RA and have heard that it has benefits-- I can't really tell if it's doing much for the RA but it surely can't hurt

i kept calories lower yesterday. thought *maybe* i'd see some more drop. only 0.2 down...140.6. and totally clean....no nuts that i miss terribly.

i have had calorie ranges all over the board from different calculators...from 1467 to 1560 to 1785 all the way to 1908. how is one supposed to know which one is accurate. i can *honestly say that i *feel* better eating at the lower end...just less FULL. BUT then i battle my mind wanting to eat when my stomach isn't hungry....kwim??? it's all so stupid!! why can't i just have a normal relationship with food?? even that is messed up...a relationship with food??? ughh....

i may give it another day or two and then decide if i am going to adjust my LDW up to around 140 from 138.6. C'Marie when would you recommend one adjust up? i really like the 138.6, but evidently my body isn't ready to stay there just yet?? i hope and that after round 2 it'll feel more comfy in the 130's.

Did a steak day yesterday and had a 0.8 drop today, but am still way too far above my window. I will follow C'Marie's advice and do a conservative P3 day today and another steak day tomorrow. I just can't see myself dropping back into my window any other way.

I will see my doctor on Monday and then begin preparing for my next round of P2. I am planning on trying the Intermountain drops this time unless he says otherwise, so will need to order the drops AND some mint-free toothpaste, but am already chomping at the bit to get started again.

I basically did pretty well for the first 2 weeks on P3, but now things seem to have destabilized and I am not sure what to do other than the above. I am also not sure what I should eat for the rest of my life, but can postpone that decision until I get my weight down to my goal and see what happens then. The diabetes is a big concern for me, and my age is working against me in terms of insulin resistance, but I still intend to do what I can and then accept where it takes me.

I am dealing with my allergies now, and that should make a difference. However, it does seem that chicken and eggs will be off my list of foods forever, as they do seem to have the effect that D'Adamo says they do for people with B type blood (me). It isn't an allergy per se. It's something callled lectins that interfere with insulin utilization, and that's very bad pookie for people with diabetes (me) and/ or who are trying to control their weight (also me), because insulin is such an important hormone for controlling blood sugar and storing fat, according to Taubes and Bowden. Sigh.

Down 2.5 lbs from my steak day. That feels good but it could have been better for all the torture I endured. I had a massive headache and torwards the end of the day I was in a brain fuzz. I will low carb it and do another cd tommorow. =)

i don't do my CD's by fasting and only eating one meal...i know myself well enough to know that will just lead to potential binging. i just eat meat/eggs throughout the day.

maybe if you have to another CD don't fast all day?

There are many benefits but I do it to help digestion and it helps with heartburn too.

Dazygyrl~ I totally agree!! It was rough but I was determined. Sometimes I'm not affected by steak days but yesterday I sure was. I'm eating eggs and meat right now.

I would love that no sf bake cheesecake recipe if you have a moment to post it! =)

oh, yes!! SORRY!

2 - 8oz cream cheese, softened to room temp
1/4 c lemon juice
1/3 c sour cream
1/2 c heavy cream
2T SF pudding
2-3 tsp vanilla
36-48 drops of ezsweets (equivalent to 1 1/2 - 2 cups) to desired sweetness. using all liquid sweetener, torani or davinci, would make this to thin, so stick to ezsweets or powdered sweeteners.

i put it on an almond flour/butter crust. 2 cups almond flour with 1/4 melted butter and a little sweetener if desired. i don't make the crust, just put it in the fridge to set up while i make the filling.

enjoy!!

I only do this on Tuesdays, before I go WI at my WW mtg...I like to compare my scale read with theirs.

With that said...I was still at that 167.4 this morning lol. My body will hang onto this water weight for at least another 2 days. That's just how I roll

I'm up only .4 so now am 2.0 pounds above my LIW. I'm eating great big breakfast, smaller lunch and smaller still dinner along with a ton of water today. If it goes up again, then another CD. I feel pretty lucky with what I ate yesterday to only go up .4. I ended up having just some chicken breast before bed. I finally got hungry about 11 o'clock (ate lunch at 2) and decided I didn't want to go to bed hungry in P4.

Thanks for the cheesecake recipe. If I don't have ezsweets, but I have erithritol, how much should I use?

Dazy, if you'd be happier at 140 for your LDW, just do it. Are you stable at THAT weight? If so, then your body has already done it anyway.

1moretry, I'm sorry to see you can't eat chicken and eggs. Those are the absolute mainstays of my diet and my maintenance. But I'm a blood type O and not diabetic.

re erythritol...i would use whatever the equivalent of 1 1/2 - 2 cups sugar is. can't remember if it's 1:1 with sugar as far as sweetness. if you want to us that along with some torani/davinci i think it would be fine, i just wouldn't use all the sweetener with that. a combo of the two would be good.

i'm not 100% that i have stabilized there. still seeing how things go with several days of no restaurant food. will decide here in another day or two. it just seems that every time i do a CD and get closer to LDW, it bumps right back up the next day. that's what makes question if i should adjust my LDW...kwim?

that's so awesome you were only up 0.4 after your big mexican meal!! i would have surely been up with the sodium...

what calorie calculator do you recommend to people for figuring daily caloric needs, c'marie? or do you not track? i can't remember.....

Dazy, I just use ****** when I log it so I use their counter - only really for a couple weeks at the beginning or if I'm running into "issues" and I need to check. I get into a routine about what I eat usually and don't stray a whole bunch unless I'm trying to doublecheck myself or move foods around. I don't try to calc restaurant meals at all unless it's just salad and plain meat.

Correction day

I've got two days left to lose 4lbs before I start loading, lol. Two steaks in the fridge even though its torture, it works. I will just feel better doing it this way. I don't want to be 5 over and then add 5 more for loadig and waste it all on the first week. The most I've ever lost on a steak day was 5 lbs.

If I go buy yogurt and berries for tomorrow, I'm afraid that it wont work as well as my steak day. I did loose 2 lbs on my coffee bacon day, lol... Did a chicken day once and was unable to take the hunger.

How much have you lost on a yogurt/berries day?

TBH, i lost more with meat/eggs than with the yogurt.

why not eat one of the steaks for lunch and the other for supper?

Good luck, I'm not sure if you're doing back-to-back steak days. I've always put at least a lean day in between CDs.

Sometimes I lose quite well on GY/berry days, sometimes not as much. Once in awhile, even a steak day isn't that great. It's all just tools in the arsenal, ninja maintainers!

I would rather poke my eye than do two back to back steak days, lol.
Doing a lean day today easy on the good carbs, "meaty day" if you will.
Gosh I'm so happy that I am a carnivore.

I just ordered my hcg from the pharmacy. I am excited and scared at the same time, lol. Scared to start but I know I will be ok once I get going.
My goal is to have super tight rounds and wheat I mean by that is not letting it get out of control and gain in between. That's the hardest part for me.

Me too! I used to just sit on the floor of my shower to shave. Now, I have to sit on a cushion or I end up with a butt-bone bruise!

In other news, I was up a half-pound today but I had a weird day yesterday: pinched nerve that caused me to stay home and sleep a lot--on ice packs! The half-pound is probably due to either making some poor food choices last night (peanut butter, sugar-free cheesecake), inflammation from my pinched nerve, reaction to the ibuprophen, or the phase of the dang moon, for all I know! I seem to be bouncing between 150 and 155, depending on all those factors, and I am ok with that because my clothes fit the same wherever I am in there. I have a couple of days to decide whether to load for a third and final round starting Sunday or put it off. It may be a last minute decision because I'm not sure my head is in the right place yet.

I am sooo making this to take to the beach with us in late Aug. I'm trying to plan plenty of healthy "treats" so that we can have one or two planned indulgences over the week. There is an amazing ice cream shoppe just about 1/2 a mile from our condo I'm going to offer to pay full price for a half size sundae, that way I'm sure to stop after enough If there are any suggestions for "vacation food" I'm taking 'em!

Dazy, listen to Marie. She's been around the hhcg block a time or two. If your weight comes back down eventually, you can always change your LDW back. Many have done it, it's no sin!

Can you post your menus for the last few days?
