my meat/egg day yielded just 1.2lbs this time. wondering if it's b/c i ate at my maintenance calorie level, 1880 and previous meat/egg days were just under 1400. at any rate, the scale was 140.8 which is still 0.2 above LDW. going to do straight p3 today with only one fruit serving and one salad and the rest meat & fat. i did have a cream cheese muffin for breakfast that has a little almond flour in it. so conflicted on how many calories i should be eating. i get so many different numbers from various calculators, i don't know which one i should use. i think today, i will shoot for 1500 calories. if anyone has a VERY reliable calorie calculator, i'd love the link.

Steak day!! whoop whoop. lol
This will be the best steak day ever. I am armed with the most beautiful ribeye I could find and the most delish cherry tomatoes. Mmmm.

I've got 4 days to kick some arse. Lets see if I can make a dent.

@dazygyrl: I think you will do so much better with stabilization when you are eating home prepared foods for awhile. Restaurant foods are so full of other stuff that you just never know exactly what you are eating.

Also - do you drink the Apple Cider Vinegar? With all of the extra stuff in the restaurant foods...I would definitely be drinking it to flush out your system.

Sometimes we have to remember that when the protocol was written in the 1950's there was a different lifestyle. Food was definitely prepared differently...so there was not a lot of the up and down days.

I am currently in my second phase 3 and thankfully have never had to do a correction day.
I don't count calories. I eat when I am hungry and stop when I am full.

There was a day that I went close to the top of my window(I had a grilled chicken salad from a restaurant). I drunk the apple cider vinegar and ate more protein that day and plenty of veggies and it dropped right back down to my LDW.

I was pleasantly surprised that by following my first phase 3 that
1. I could slowly add in starches and not gain.
2. Noticed a big difference in the kinds of food that I craved.
3. I also got the reshaping effects that I had read about.

So - I have said all of that to say....yes HCG does work

thank you for your input! i really appreciate it. i don't WANT to count calories, but i can eat a LOT of high caloric food and not feel stuffed, so i figure i should count till get a handle on portion. when i have done "eat when hungry, stop when full" in the past i end up eating a lot! i read other posts that say i ate a TON fat today....and then go on to list like 2 T of butter and i'm thinking, for real? you call that a TON of fat??? soooo, as much as do NOT like tracking, i feel like i should...

Tried to make a cheesecake with splenda this weekend and it turned out disgusting, blech, it was like a souffle. Thank goodness cream cheese was on sale, lol. If I load sat and sunday I will make a full fledged cheesecake with blueberries and a graham cracker crust. I'm already dreaming about it. I am actually looking forward to another P2. The empty feeling, not worrying about what to eat and all. And of course losing weight, the best part. 30 more pounds and the guys will start drooling! Love that part too.

Chicken CD resulted in nearly 2#s down. I'm still 2.8 above LDW, but I'm going to just eat cleanly today and probably do a steak day tomorrow. We are camping this weekend, but staying on P3 while camping is a heck of a lot easier than P2!! Maybe I'll throw some ACV in there...

From the posts above, it looks like I have some company! Maybe we're under attack from aliens with fat guns.

It's a steak day for me today and I am hoping to get back within range of my window. I don't know what else to do if I am not. I have been eating very low carb (under 20 grams net carbs per day) since July 16 to try to keep my insulin levels down and my blood sugar has been just above normal since doing that. My ketones were quite high this morning and I am definitely burning fat, so what is this!?!

Sigh. It is what it is and the steak is now defrosting on the counter. I hope it works! I have done 2 CDs so far and I would have to lose a whole bunch on this one to get me back into windowland. Sigh again.
Many (including myself) have had to adjust their LDW up 1-5 pounds instead of fighting their bodies. It also can go a long way to saving sanity. Just a thought.

I may be one of those who has to "adjust" the LDW window up by a couple pounds. My correction day didnt budge my weight down. At all. Im trying a chicken CD today. gonna try some ACV as well. Do you guys drink it in water or what?

ACV

I dilute and add a drop of stevia.

I NEVER take it on a empty stomach either...

Gotta make this fast, friends who teach English in China are in my town for today only and have invited me out to lunch. Good thing I did my egg day yesterday and it dropped me down to within my window - now I'm 1.6 above LIW. Will try to eat carefully, but it's Applebees and I LOVE the baby ribs with sauce. So that will probably be it for today besides a salad at home tonight and tons of water. If I have to do a steak day in penance tomorrow, then so be it

I will be back.... laters....

Weigh in this morning at .6 above my LDW this morning. SO happy about it cuz I was at exactly 2 pounds above my LDW yesterday after my night of drinking and 2 slices of cheese pizza. Hooray for no CD!!!

I was curious though, how is a chicken correction day done? How much chicken or how many calories of chicken do you eat through out the day?

Ugh, I drug myself to Costco after work pre-steak time and only saw fat free Fage. Then in line I remembered that someone said to add cream to it if it's fat free but didn't have the patience to go back and had already put back the berries. so I went home with eggs and pam lol.

I still have two gigantic steaks in the fridge might as well use them. They're like brontosaurus style ribeyes. Oh well maybe next p3.

I cant wait to wake up and weigh myself tomorrow.

I'm back from Applebees and visiting my friends.

I had the whole regular serving of riblets with the honey bbq sauce, a caesar salad instead of the cole slaw in, and onion rings instead of fries. I ate the whole thing. That was around 2 pm. I'm not eating again today. I'm still stuffed, and it's 7 pm here for me. Just gonna drink a ton of water. I'm feeling the water retention right this minute. Ugh. LOL.... sure was good, the company and the food!

What is the main reason you girls take the ACV? To flush things along better?

When I weighed in this a.m. I was 165.8...as the morning went on I felt this overwhelming bloat coating my body. My last AF came mid-cycle so I wasn't really sure when to expect it again. Late morning, there she came. Got on the scale when got home at 2pm...167.4.

The thing that's weird for me is that I've never really truly felt that bloated feeling before. I mean, I know it's there, but I've always just felt bloated from eating and being fat(er), not purely from water retention.

Another thing I've noticed since shedding almost 15 lbs...what I call my tail. When I was delivering my 9+ lb DD, my tailbone got kind of "pushed back". Now that I don't have as much cush in my tush I can feel it pokin' a bit (Shallow Hal movie, anyone? lol). At least it doesn't wag

Don't weigh more than once a day. It just messes with your mind and isn't accurate at all.

I definitely feel bloat coming on now from water retention. I have it tonight from my restaurant meal big time.

Congrats on your 15 pounds!
