HCG in the news....here we go!

I thought it would be fun to post your most common or favorite negative comments or your best come backs if you should choose to engage the conversation.

My local Fox station has recently started broadcasting stories about the new "miracle fad diet" called HCG. Although I didn't watch the story as I didn't hear about it until after it aired, I did go onto their FB page and read the comments.

Apparently next to the Taliban & Satan, HCG is the most evil thing on the planet according to the comments posted. I'm glad I didn't jump right on the "ahh, another scam" bandwagon and did my research and found this group here. It looks like mainstream media may be bringing this diet into the forefront. I don't tell many that I am on this plan because quite frankly I don't have the time to explain away all of their negativity - my favorite being, "well if I only ate 500 calories a day, I'd lose weight too". Silly, silly non-hcgers....

No, just negative but hateful. I have had people get mad at me for doing such a terrible thing. "Why don't you do it the right way? " Jealous for some I think. There isn't this response if someone uses nicotine patches or gum to stop smoking! What about taking antidepressants? For years there was a lot of negativity for taking them. "Can't you just cheer up?" "Just get over it" Is it better to take Alli or other over the counter diet meds?

People I work with know I have done HHCG because a fellow HHCGer outed me. She is a Dr and no one says anything to her negative. I don't preach or recommend it but if someone needs help I help them. I never bring it up.

Awesome

I often hear of my peers going through "hard" times and internalize it into being grateful.
You are right and that post is amazing. We all need a reality check every-so-often to remind us that our problems are small compared to so many.
Getting healthy is such a small small small problem. As well as the extra space in my closet and drawers.

Guilt does nothing to benefit me...so I let go of it. We are strong and smart and fortunate to be empowered with this system.

I am on day 2 of loading. 1st time. bahhahaha! Pretty optimistic, huh!

YUP.

Also, all the more reason NOT TO CHEAT and screw up the round you're currently on. Don't prolong it. Get it DONE. Get used to maintaining. Get some SKILLS, ya'll!

Be the example. When people get desperate enough, they ask, "What did you do to lose weight?"

They can't take things off the market unless they're harmful though right? And if so, is there any time to stock up or is it taken off as soon as the decision is made? Starting to freak out a little. I NEED my hcg!

I made the decision to buy 2-3 rounds ahead whenever I buy. I need enough to finish what I started, and have enough for an extra in case I need it.

If it works the FDA will eventually ban it - if we lose weight - we won't need to go to the doctor so much or buy so many medications and that scares the medical establishment. I honestly believe that there are medical conditions that we have the scientific knowledge to cure - or at least treat better than we do - but the FDA and different lobbyist stop some of it from happening. I may be paranoid - but I am planning on one more round and have 4 bottles in my pantry - just in case.

I consider myself a bit of a conspiracy theorist on certain issues, and the health care/FDA/insurance system is DEFINITELY not on the up and up. It's all about money and if we are a healthier society, there is less money to be made.

Did you ever wonder why they can advertise medicines to treat a condition, but you never ever hear about curing anything....at least not since the greedy corporations came into play. Imagine if there wasn't already a cure for polio or small pox - what would our world be like?

The diet industry is a billion dollar business. Imagine all those companies putting the pressure on the FDA to ban HCG. I can totally see them doing that (I will step down from my conspiracy soap box. lol). I am going to buy at least two bottle of the hHCG just to be on the safe side!!!

Ooh, I totally agree with you. We can do HCG on our own and it works! THEY don't like that. I remember when poor Dr. Atkins was considered to be right up there with Satan, and all the scare stories about Low Carb.
I'm going to order a few more bottles right away.

I just bought THREE bottles of pellets!! Just in case!!

I just saw on Yahoo yesterday, there was an article about the Paleo diet, and right below it was a link discussing the HCG diet, the very first sentence was, "If you were overweight, would you take a weight-loss supplement formulated from the urine of pregnant women?"

However it did go on to say, "Testimonials of people losing dozens of unwanted pounds number in the thousands."

So how long can you keep unopened pellets and have them still be effective? I know you have to keep them in a cool, dark and dry place away from electronics but I just wonder how long they would keep.

Yikes! I was going to order my HCG once I got back to the States on August 12th but this is making me reconsider. I don't want them to run out just as I'm convinced this is the right diet for me! Now to make up my mind about HHCG vs Rx shots.

I can't wait to join you lovely ladies!

Good to know Lilac! I don't trust the FDA at all so I'll be stocking up. They already banned the teething homeopathics that I used with all 3 of my boys and recommend to the parents who take my classes so I don't put anything past them!

this is one reason I'm "private" diva. I will absolutely not discuss this with people around me. If there is one thing I've learned in my somewhat long life it is that the majority of people absolutely detest other people's success. If I was able to fly to the moon by flapping my arms, there would be a group of bitter, petty, small people who would find something to criticize about the accomplishment. Life is too short, and too important, to fuss with those sorts.

When they comment on my weight loss, I say "thanks, been workin at it" and change the subject to something else immediately. Usually them....or there idiotic precious children You can always get people to move along if you initiate their favorite brag subject.

EXACTLY! Ditto! THIS THIS THIS!

I think people would hear "500 calories" and "pellets/drops/injections" and that's all they would hear. They wouldn't hear the science behind it, the phases to reset/maintain...the disclipline it takes

Yikes, scary. Even tho I do injections I'm just now considering buying some pellets... don't know much about them. At least I would feel more secure knowing I could go back. BUT... all the more reason to get it done and keep it off. Have you ever heard of a group of people praying that a diet doesn't go away? I sure haven't.

Ok I just read this...

Now about the whole FDA and the HCG diet. No, the FDA isn’t going to ban the HCG diet. They can’t really because the FDA doesn’t regulate diets. Never have and never will (let’s hope anyway). They are concerned with the health and well being of people and the type of food and medicine you take. And since HCG is fine to take then they can’t ban it, and they shouldn’t. This diet is changing so many lives. There was also a comment about the oral drops made by the FDA. But again, no research was done and it was just a comment, probably taken out of context by the interviewer, who by the way has a looong history of trying to destroy the HCG diet, mainly because they are trying to sell a competing diet! It’s so sad that more people don’t realize this.

Lara--I wish I could feel better with what you posted but it's just not true. The FDA just recently banned the homeopathic teething pellets by Hyland's that SO many parents used. Their reason? They've never been proven safe. And yes, that's all they needed and now they're gone! This isn't about common sense unfortunately ("if it's not bad for you they can't take it away")--it's ALL about MONEY

maybe they don't regulate DIETS but they sure can and will f=get rid of the syuba=stance we need to do the DIET and no they really are not concerned with well being anymore it is all about business and profit honestly that copy and paste was so full of misconceptions i do not even know where to start ugh
hylands is an awesome brand and if it can happen to them it will happen to the rest of them
