Antibiotics=stall?

Just curious: Has anyone had the experience of a stall while taking an antibiotic?

I am taking Cipro for a urinary tract infection, and I stalled after being on it for 24 hours. Today is my third day of both the stall and the 4th of the Cipro, and I am wondering if there is a coorelation?

Absolutely!! Your body is healing from the infection and therefore will concentrate all its energy towards that. Just keep on keeping on and it will eventually come back down again. Sorry to hear about your UTI--they are awful. I hope you are feeling better.

Same thing happened to me - you'll start to lose again soon, I know how disappointing it is when you get up and are looking forward to seeing that loss.

Kay -- yes, antibiotics will definitely stall a person, or even cause temporary gains. I know this one well!

Hope the UTI clears up soon -- those are NO fun!!!!

I've heard it happens. Last year I had several difficulties, and ended up adding 1 T of pure cranberry juice to my water each day. It's just 5 calories and 1 carb...and I needed it when the weight was dropping rapidly! I never had the UTI...but things were headed that way with the irritation.

Hope it's better soon, and you know I'm hoping for a big WHOOSH for you!

Thanks for the input, ladies.

My round of antibiotics isn't supposed to end until AFTER this round of P2 ends...my weight is definitely stuck. Do I do an Apple Day, or just stick to the protocol and trust that the scale will reflect a loss when I finish the antibiotics? My measurements are the same as they were when I weighed 145 at the end of R2.
