String Beans on P2?
Hi, I am fairly new to this and have only been on it about a week. I have had great success up until the last few days. I have completely followed what I thought to be the program, however the paperwork I received said that string beans are allowed, my friend who lost alot of weight said she hadnt ever heard of them beging allowed and I am wondering if they are causing me to gain rather than lose?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!! ![]() |

They are not on Dr. Simeons original protocol. However, I know several people who have had them during P2 and done fine. Have you read Pounds & Inches? It will tell you what the doctor who originally created the protocol allowed and then you can decide if you want to follow that to the letter or go rogue. I say if you've had them and not had any problems then, why not?! Others may not agree but it's up to you. Good luck!

Thank you! I have not read Pounds & Inches, and think I probably need to do that. I lost great the first 5 days but yesterday I was up .4 and today I was up 1.2. I have stuck to the diet in every way except maybe the string beans, so I am wondering if they could be the problem. My weight is really fluctuating tho, I had lost 11.8 lbs before this latest gain.
