Sure enough I get in and he thinks he's going home with me, I scream get out of the car and its following me around the parking lot!! I must have looked crazy. It's finally gone and I check my hair look around and no one had noticed me screaming and running about, lol. A nice reminder that your thoughts become your reality, eh? I feel amazing now.

142.0 this morning, my exact LDW. I'm loving this!

Viola, do you feel the cranberry/dandelion tea is doing what it is meant to do? Are you using the bathroom more often when you drink it? I see where she say you can lose quite a bit of water in one week. How long have you been drinking it? It's interesting! TIA

Hooray for all the maintaining & losses today! I am .6 above my LDW this morning. I think I may have had a little too much dairy yesterday so I will take it easy on that today! Made my first minute muffin with flax meal this morning and it was DELICIOUS!

shelby...last time i did a CD i lost 2.2. the next day i was up 1.6 of that 2.2. i want to train my body to like the top end of my calorie range, but am a bit nervous to do that today after having that bump up last time. suggestions? and NO there will be no more PB till p4!! lol!!
Eat clean P3. Limit dairy, nuts, cheese and artificial sweeteners. Stick to proteins, good fats (like avocado and olive oil), and fruits and veggies. Limit "desserty" type things. That's what I'd recommend!

Well, shewwwt....

Just reading your reply now and so far today I have had a coffee w/ hwc, OMM made with almond flour and flax, coffee w/ HH, Greek yogurt, walnuts, couple hard boiled eggs, and an apple. Gonna eat out for supper with dh tonite. Will stick to steak and salad...maybe veggies.

I think so! This is my 4th day drinking it. While transitioning to P3, I had a few cheats. I wanted to try and stay close to LDW, so I started the detox drink (and had some smooth move the night before P3). I've lost a bit of weight every day that I've drank it-- despite having a salt-encrusted roast chicken last night, my fingers were not swollen this morning! I'm going to continue drinking it through Friday, and maybe drink some more on Sunday/Monday (out of town wedding Saturday). It's hard to tell if I'm going to the bathroom more since I've been drinking close to 100oz for all of P2.

What a relief for water retainers, huh? No swelling is a wonderful feeling! Thanks again--I knew there must have bee a good reason why I bought some unsweetened organic cranberry concentrate a while back!

Did my hip therapy yesterday, took a break today and back at it tomorrow. Hoping it starts helping!

I'm testing hwc today. I whipped some up with coco powder and hazelnut stevia for dessert (YUM!!!). We'll see what the scale says tomorrow. Last round I had to be careful with HWC. If I spike up tomorrow, maybe I'll try that lasering trick. I'd also like to try cream cheese next week, which I might just laser beforehand for good measure.

Down .5 today --still wobbling around in the lower end of my window I think for me one of the hardest things to get used to is the "normal fluctuation" no one's body can stay the exact same weight every day (even if they are not gaining weight) because of water, and bernice (among other things ) Also entering the 2 weeks of crazy hormone stuff --sooo just like the last 2 months I will repeat " I will not freak out, I will not freak out" lol Hope you all have a great day-- I'm off to take dd to tennis, shopping with my mother, and picking up our first order of schoolbooks at the post office--Yay!!

Checking in with a 0.2 gain, and feeling strongly not to do anything different than what I am doing. Blood sugars came down strongly yesterday (were at 120 much of the day and at one point got down to a low of 108 -- almost normal!).

Last night I ate enough to feel satisfied (I'm tired of being hungry so often) and stayed satisfied through the night and when I woke up this morning. Like Kelli, I am feeling this is a normal fluctuation and am still holding steady just above my window. I am also tracking everything in ****** and seeing where my calorie limit seems to be.

as i predicted...going out is just going to be me nemesis. up 1.8 of my 2.4. can't decide if i should just eat clean today as it's most likely water gain. or i did buy a bunch of ff GY last night. i could do GY and strawberries today too.

my meal was totally p3...a trio of meat: 6oz sirloin, bacon wrapped shrimp, chicken breast with seasonal veggies (broccoli, yellow squash, zucchini), salad with tomato, cucumber, onion, a little cheese, ranch dressing. but the meat was very salty. i *always* forget to ask for my meat unseasoned.

Well the one pound is gone again and I am back at my 2 lb loss from vacay last week. Auntie Flo is playing peekaboo and the scale isn't paying much attention to her. I used to gain 3 lbs during each visit with bloating. HCG has appeared to fix my 30 year hormone imbalance I love, love, love the reset.

Down another little bit this morning so almost 2 pounds under LDW--and that's even without Bernice who decided to stop by last night instead of this morning. Eating clean P3 again. I don't find low-carb to be a hardship but I DO need to track foods. It just keeps me accountable and helps figure out where to correct. But I'm just a numbers geek like that... Happy day everyone.

Up a # today, so I guess I need to laser hwc. It could be that I had TWO cheddar taco shells yesterday, and two glasses of wine... I'm still well within my window. Eating clean, less cheese, no hwc... see if I can get back down a bit before the weekend.

And I ate like crazy yesterday! Sausage for breakfast, huge salad with chicken thighs and an apple for lunch, full-fat GY with berries in the afternoon, 8oz of fish (pan-fried) and brussels sprouts in the evening, topped off with 7oz of strawberries and a fudgey peanut coconut square (1!!!!). Total of 1862 calories or so. Exactly the macronutrient ratios that my body likes (55/25/20). Anyone that thinks clean P3 is a hardship, well I just don't get it! I also love that hcg has reset my metabolism (and frankly my mindset) to the point that I am keeping track of errors and can fix them with a day of clean eating or so. LOVE IT!
Shelby...right on girl! Sounds like you have it wired! I'm still trying to find that sweet spot that my body likes. Having a harder time stabilizing on P3 this time. I did figure my BMR and if I calculate X1.2 it comes to 1681 calories. My understanding is that is pretty much what you need to maintain if you are sleeping or at rest most of the day. I don't do much exercise currently but an occasional walk aside from yard work, cleaning, working (massage therapist) is my usual MO. So I use the adjusted BMR X 1.375 for light exercise which comes to 1926 calories. Usually I try to stay in the middle between the two around 1750-1800 calories but truth is, I've had to do 2 CDs in the last week and half. Do you think I should eat less calories, closer to the 1681 or up the calories to try to get my metabolism higher? Also, you macronutrient ratios..is that fat/protein/carbs in that order?

I'm up .6 today but I too had Mexican last night--chile rellenos with lots of cheese (salt) not to mention sour cream and a few tortilla chips with guacamole. No beans and rice--don't eat those anymore.

Day 7 of Phase 3 and I'm up AGAIN this morning for a total of 1.2 above my LDW! Maybe it was the sodium in the soy sauce I had...I don't know, I'm not a happy camper and to rub it in TOM is here.

I always always recommend trying to go higher rather than lower with calories because for ME, I really wanted that metabolism reset--wanted it BAD and at as high a calorie level as my body would take! I have a gf who just finished her first round and she was calculating and trying to stick to her BMRx. She found when she increased her calories she lost weight. When she decreased she gained. I really do think it's about finding your sweet spot and that takes trial and error, including sticking your neck out for possible cd's--AND giving up preconceived notions that less food will makes us lose weight.

That said, I think a lot of people think calories are calories and think that 500 calories of peanut butter plus 500 calories of cocoa crack plus 500 calories of cheese plus 100 calories of fruit, does a good P3 make... My first thing is to concentrate on eating as high a quality of foods as I can. Avocados, coconut milk, chicken thighs, steak. Lots of fruit and veggies. Olive oil and butter. A LITTLE dairy, NOT 6oz of cheese or a cup of HWC. No deep fried foods, no matter how low carb. Very little eating out due to high sodium content and/or hidden ingredients. I think you are probably closer to the higher end (massage is hard work! ) but I would recommend really focusing on whole foods, limiting dairy and nuts, and seeing how far you can push that envelope.

For my macronutrient ratios, yes, it is 55 fat, 25 protein and 20 carbs.

Good luck!

Could be either soy sauce OR TOM or a combo. Hang in there! Aunt Flo always leaves eventually... Eating clean and no TOM, I typically bounce around between 150 and 155 during a week. Just one more thing to get used to...

Oh and btw, I certainly have my "jar of peanut butter and a spoon" or "35 chicken wings in a sitting" moments but the above is something I aspire to every day. It's kind of like perfect enlightenment...all we can do is aspire to it. Unless you're the Buddha, you never actually get there. And I'm not the Buddha. I don't even look like him any more!

ETA: At least the double-quarter pounder with cheese, PLUS 20 McNuggets, PLUS large fries, PLUS blizzard, PLUS 2 caramel sundaes days or the dozen donuts or cupcakes in one day days are behind me... (and yes, I ate it, lots of times.)

I have a question for all you successful maintainers. Did you all go immediately to 1500 calories for phase 3 or did you slowly work your way up? Also have any of you ladies lost or just maintained? I thought I had this phase 3 figured out but I guess I really don't.

I had to work up to the calories I do now. I just wasn't hungry enough to get them all in. I have lost as you can see in my siggy. I am staying in P3 for probably another month at least.

Phase 3 is for maintaining (according to protocol) and that's how I did it. My 5lb loss happened in P4 (and by accident). I had to work my way up The first 2 days it was a struggle to get to 800 but by the end of the first week I had made it to 1500 and was working my way to 2000. Personally I don't want to lose any more right now ( I do, but.....) , It's more important to me to make sure my metabolism is corrected than to lose another 8lbs right now. I figure I'll start working at losing a bit more after Sept. by then I should have a good 3 1/2 , 4 months of maintaining p4 style and my metabolism should be in good steady working order. Then I'll up my workouts.

Well, checking in from my vacation here in TN. I am eating what ever I want!! I know, I am so bad. So glad that P2 is what I am going home to next week. The week started off great with my birthday, Disney was shooting a music video here at the resort where we are staying so we had an impromtu rock concert for my b'day; got to see the sights here in Gatlinburg TN; then Tues hit. It was our 17th wedding anniversary....and the day I learned my step-dad passed away. Geesh...I just want to celebrate or have a normal life for a teensy little while. This was not unexpected as he had colon cancer but he had it for 6 years and was fine the last time I talked to my mom just before we left. My mom said that she didn't tell us of his condition because they didn't want us to stop or not go on vacation. Gosh. I just don't know what to even say to that---be pissed off at them or happy. So P3 or even P4 eating has gone out the window completely.

On the other hand, I was able to meet with debkeversole!!!! Yeah I got to do a meet up with a very good LCFer. She is too cute and super sweet. I thought I was looking in a mirror. She is my height, looks my age and also her hair looks just like mine. I love her!!!! I would post pics but the dial up connection here sucks. So that will have to wait til I get home this weekend. Unless she comes in here and sees this. She has pics of us too.
So that is all from TN. It is beautiful here. My youngest loves looking out the window and watching the helicopters take off for the sight seeing tours. He can watch that all day. The water parks are so much fun and I am very burned. Cannot wait to return home to start my next round!!!

Jumped in with both feet and never looked back! Unlike most it seems, I did NOT have any issues eating 2000+ calories on day one of P3. If you can, why not?

Baked pork chops & broccoli with mayo & cheese deliciousness on top. Yum! I'm a foodie, so P2 is very hard for me (and my hubby as I don't want to cook)... I love all the options in P3!! I almost didn't want the garlic mashed potatoes I made for my hubby.

I took two days to get up to BMR & am playing with creeping up the calories to see how much I can have!

GY day went well. was nice to just keep it simple. calories weren't probably as high as they should have been, but i'm FULL! only 1542 and my calorie range is 1560-1785.

hoping i'm back in my window tomorrow after my salty, albeit p3, meal out last night. IF i am, then i will keep it CLEAN. meat, veggies/salad, fat, fruit ONLY!!!

thought i *had* been clean, but have realized this week thru the wise miss shelby i really haven't been *all* that clean. THANK YOU, shelby!
