Kimmie - I agree that it's a good idea to pre-plan your menus and portion out your proteins into little baggies...whether raw or cooked. That way, it will be easy to grab something. I even chopped up my veggies so if I was having a lazy day, I wouldn't stray. Everything was right there ready to go.
Also, when you load, I think the best is to go light on sugar. It might send you through withdrawals and that's not a good thing when you're only eating 500 calories. Enjoy your load days! Wow Layla...19 pounds! That's fantastic! 41 more days? I give you a lot of credit. I think I could have gone another week but my losses really slowed down. I only lost 2 lbs. in week three. 11 more hours until a large Dunkin Donuts coffee with half and half! ![]()

Thanks ladies..I will LOAD LOAD LOAD and have been doing nothing but reading your journals all night. I will try and organize my week with food as you have suggested and I will keep a journal daily. The toughest part for me I think is that I decorate cakes hahaha which I think got me where I am with the pounds creeping up.

Wiggles- I know you said earlier that you didnt want to torture us by posting your P3 menus but if it's okay with everyone else, Id love it if you would share. A few of us are heading into P3 next week and its less scary to see how someone else is doing it.

i do have a significant question...well significant to me i read in the posts at some point about someone stabilizing on p3 then going back to p2, plus im not entirely clear on the steps. p3 for two weeks (no sugar, carbs), then p4 for 2 weeks (add caution foods slowly including sugar carbs), then eat normally? is that correct? im doing from memory, so it might be different in my plan literature. so, does that mean i do 4 weeks between rounds or do i eat normal for 2 weeks before and have a total of 6 weeks between rounds? i will read protocol again but would welcome any thoughts. i thought i had to leave 6 weeks between rounds but does anyone have any thoughts on this? |

OK, here goes...
I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee this morning. I decided to use Splenda again because I can't tolerate the Stevia too much. It's too bitter and I didn't want to ruin my coffee. I added just half of what I used and it was sweet enough. So here's my planned menu. It comes in just under 1400 calories. My BMR is 1700 and you're supposed to times that by 1.2 so technically, I should eat 2100. I think in a week I'll be able to get up to that when I start adding things like full fat yogurt, nuts, cream cheese, etc. B: 2 eggs, 3 slices center cut bacon, 20 oz coffee with half and half, 1/2 packet of Splenda L: 1 can of tuna mixed with 2 tbs. mayo on a bed of lettuce, sliced tomato, 10 black olives, 1 oz. swiss cheese D: Center cut pork chop with a dijon cream sauce (dijon mustard, HWC, parm cheese). I'll only use about 2 tbs. of the sauce. 1 cup sauteed zucchini, salad with homemade thousand island dressing. S: Hard boiled egg, apple I'm also going to take a 30 minute walk today too. I'd like to start exercising again. I'll report in tomorrow how my weight is. ![]() |

Yay!
So, I drank my 20 oz. coffee this morning. Man, was it good. But, about 15 minutes after I finished, I started getting really dizzy. I ate breakfast hoping that would help but it didn't. I still feel really dizzy and kind of afraid to stand up. It's been going on for about 90 minutes already. I'm at work so kind of stuck right now at my desk. Do you think it was all of that caffeine or just a coincidence? I haven't had coffee since my first VLCD but did have tea once in awhile. Not sure what's up. ![]() |

Good morning, ladies! I only glanced at the new posts, because I've got to rush out the door shortly, but wanted to stop in. (Good news, haha--you all get a break from my relentless, all-day chit-chatting.)
I woke up to no loss today, but I wasn't surprised because I had to eat out last night, and will have to again today. I was super careful last night and had an un-dressed bowl of raw spinach with sliced apple and grilled chicken on it, but who knows what sugary seasoning they put on that chicken? Today at the country club (I'm subbing in card group there), I will try to order something similar and just hope for the best. At any rate, the no loss allowed me to get my days straightened back out. I was offset by one because of my trip to Seattle. Kimmie--hooray! You are now starting on a fun and exciting adventure in weight loss! It will blow your mind, girl! Wiggles, yes, I'm sure it's the sudden blast of caffeine. Drink a lot of water and just wait for your body to handle all of it. I'm off, girls. Wishing all of you a great day! ![]() P.S. Layla, didn't mean to leave you out. Congrats on the loss!

![]() You guys were right. I think the dizziness was from the caffeine. I was feeling better a couple of hours later. I'll go with a medium coffee tomorrow and work my way back up. ![]() |

LOL! Well that was my brother's Harley- he was an extremely talented custom Harley builder, and his primary bike was in pieces due to an accident he was in....this particular bike was his long-trip bike. He passed away in Feb 2010 due to Melanoma at age 30. This June we wanted to do family pictures but our mom wanted to somehow include him so we took his bike to the photo shoot
and this was one I did for fun. Unfortunately, this pic made me realize just how heavy Id gotten ![]() |
