Week 1 Checkin

I just finished my first 7 days...including the 2 load days. I've been on P2 for 5 days. I low carbed for 8 days prior to starting and had lost from 185 to 182.

Net loss as of this AM is 8.5. I am completely amazed.

I've stayed 100% on protocol although I did not have any breadstick or melba toast. I learned that I would still lose eating an apple or strawberries, but the apple seemed to hurt my stomach and make it gassy, so I've landed on strawberries. Knowing how carb sensitive I am, this was a great surprise!

I didn't eat anything before 11:30, just Tea and Water. I started getting hungry around 10:30 or so. I have found that I will get some hunger pangs after lunch, but am quenching that hunger with a couple of strawberries and some water. I'm trying to distribute my strawberries so that I have a munchi if I start getting hungry between meals or before bed.

I also went cold turkey on no Diet Coke, which I've been addicted to for years. The headaches went away on Day 3. Just Tea and Water for me!

Overall, I'm very pleased. On morning 7, I found myself being disappointed with "only" a 1lb loss. How sick is that?? I realized how stupid that was and laughed out loud at myself.

I am certainly motivated to stay on! Thanks for all the wisdom, and the recipes!!! It helps a lot!

LOL you're fine! And actually I have not updated my stats, am up a bit today since I am trying to be more "normal" with weighing in and drinking lots of water. I was making it a habit to not eat or drink after 5 pm and finally realized that I was only sabotaging myself in doing so. ONEderland seems SO far away but compared to where I was 4 months ago, I will definitely get there!

The great thing about being here is that we ALL inspire each other!!

Lilac, you will get there soon! No Worries! I keep drinking water/tea up until an hour before bed. My theory is that I'm flushing fat with every glass!
