Another nice drop this morning... 1.2 pounds.

I'm dreaming about food at night, and it's irritating me! Every morning I wake up thinking about all sorts of food. Wish it would get out of my mind!

scale has needed a new battery the last couple days, so no weigh ins to report! Everything has been going pretty well though.

Depressing morning. After not weighing the last few days because of a scale with a dead battery, I've found that I'm a half pound up from my last weigh in. That means I'm currently only 2.5 pounds under my pre-load weight .

Since I'm breastfeeding, I've been eating 1-2 extra protein servings a day, sometimes 1 extra veggie and/or sometimes an extra melba. It doesn't seem like that much extra food while I'm nursing 2 human beings.

So... no weight loss in 4 days, just a half pound gain. I was so hopeful I'd see a nice low number on the scale today. Sadness.

could it be you're not eating enough?

i found when i didn't eat at least 500 cal i didn't lose.

i would try increasing protein a bit more. what do you think your calorie totals are?

I would also guess that the scale before the battery died wasn't giving good readings...mine has done that, give low readings right before it died.

So it's possible you lost more than the scale says - anything fitting better?

I supposed that could be it. It's quite discouraging. I guess we'll see what happens the next few days. I don't really notice anything fitting any better though.

Feeling better today... down 2 pounds! I was getting worried that I might have to cut out my extra food. Nursing makes me ravenously hungry and the hhcg hasn't been able to totally cut that. Not sure I'd be able to get through the day on just 500 calories!

Paula- I see in your signature that you somehow integrate hhcg with juddd. How do you do that? do you do juddd on P3?

I've been doing a P2 day monday wednesday friday, and P3 (maintenance calories) tuesday/thursday weekends. I take the drops on my down days.

It's definitely slower than hcg, but I'm pretty burned out of doing straight protocol after more than a year.

Yesterday I had a 0.2 pound loss and today nothin! Bummer, but onward... hopefully my body is getting ready for a nice big loss. I'm currently 5.5 pounds under pre-load weight and on VLCD 12. Was hoping to be farther along by this time, but oh well... not much I can do about it! I guess some loss is better than a gain.

Had a 0.7 pound drop today. Have a birthday party tonight... with pizza and cake and other such yummy things. It's a family party, so I'm going to take my own food. I'd be lying if I didn't say pizza sure sounds good though!

Trisha, I know I've said this before and I know you want to lose more, but at least you're not gaining. I gained when I breastfed. It was awful. I just got heavier and heavier. I'm so glad you're not. My DD is now 22 and I'm finally, after losing 80 or so of my 100 pounds, down to below where I was when I got pg! Of course I didn't gain 100 pounds bfeeding LOL.... but it definitely started there.

Official 2 week weigh in... I'm down 7 pounds. Not as dramatic as a lot of people or what I'd like to see but I'm so glad the scale is moving down. Yesterday, I was very disappointed to see a .5 pound gain, so I was very happy to have lost that plus some today. Yesterday I stuck to strict protocol and didn't have any extra food. I'm going to try to do the same today. Onward and.... downward

C'Marie- I can totally relate! I've gained while nursing each of my children and this has been no exception. I'm still 8 pounds heavier than I was 3 weeks postpartum (ugh!).

So, you are trying to stick to a 1,000 calorie day? And when you do, you lose weight? I was shooting for 800. Not sure if that's enough, I am trying to fight through the hunger for a day or two to see if it goes away (I read that alot of people are hungry for the first couple days and then it goes away).... we will see.

I typically get between 750-850, but yesterday I stuck to 500. Trying to stick to that today too, but think I'm going to end up closer to 600.

ok. I was shooting for 800 since i figure I probably burn 300 breastfeeding. Your milk supply is still good?

Milk supply is great and my babies are exclusively breast feeding. They're getting big and fat!

I am a little frustrated. I had just over 600 calories yesterday and I'm up 0.8 of a pound. What gives?! Seems like I keep doing this up and down thing lately.

Lost the 0.8 I was up yesterday plus another 0.7, and it was a strict 500 calorie day for me yesterday.

I think I am going to cut my calories back a little bit next week. I just wanted to give my body time to adjust to the protocol, just incase my milk supply decreased. (So far I am doing great). I am happy I found you. If it wasn't for your thread I never would have decided to try the HCG diet while I was breastfeeding. Your success inspired me. Now we can provide information for others in our shoes. Keep up the good work.

Yesterday down 0.2 and today up 0.6. That puts me only at -0.4 so far for the week. I've decided I'm going to try a re-feed tomorrow to see if it will jump-start my losses.

Jennia, A refeed can be like a load day in the middle of your round or just a big jump in calories. I know different people do it differently.

Anyhow.. Saturday morning I was up 0.4 despite a good 500 calorie day on Friday, which put me at 0 lost since Monday. This diet is too restrictive to not see any losses. I went ahead with the refeed on Saturday. Sunday I was up 4 pounds (yikes!) and was hoping today I'd be down 4 pounds, but was only down 2.

I know my thyroid meds aren't adjusted correctly right now. They always have to bump them down when I'm pregnant and I haven't had a chance to get to my thyroid doctor since I had my babies. I have an apt in a couple of weeks, so maybe once that gets adjusted I'll see better losses.

I was really hoping to make 25-30 pounds this round, but it looks like I'll be lucky to hit 15.

Back to my pre-refeed weight (-7 pounds), which also happens to be my 2 week weight. VLCD23.... onward!

I just wanted to share with you something that I noticed. I am eating 800 or so calories a day, and it seems like each time I eat steak for dinner I have a really good loss. (maybe it calculates like a mini "steak day" or something).Wasn't sure if you were eating steaks or not, just wanted to share that with you incase you wanted to try it and see if it works for you. Hope everything is going good for you and the babies.

Thanks for the tip. I have been having very lean (94%) ground beef for my last meal of the day with cabbage. The babies and I are doing well... all except for this diet. I was planning on doing a couple more weeks on P2, but if I don't see at least a couple pound loss by the end of this week I think I'm going to end up just going into P3. I'm so tired of eating the same thing every day. It's doable when the losses are good but my body just doesn't want to give up the weight when I'm nursing!

I was down 2 pounds yesterday (yay!) but was skeptical that it would stay that way because I've been up and down for so long.... but I'm holding steady today (double yay!). Hoping I see another drop tomorrow
