Thanks for the encouragement everyone! I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, it was just an oober busy weekend. My weights been kinda bouncing up and down, but over the past 3 days I'm down 1 more pound. That makes 2.8 pounds for week 2.

I'm probably going to really be kicking myself, but I'm going off protocol tonight. And I'm going WAY off. This will be our 3rd out of 4 parties in 4 days that we're going to. I decided at the beginning of this round, that this would be the party I'd go off for because it's at my very favorite mexican restaurant. Hoping whatever I gain comes off as quickly as it came on!

I'm here, yes very very busy! Parties are finally over. I've been really busy lately gearing up for school and getting everything prepared. I'm homeschool my 7 year old and the last two years had also homeschooled my two sisters who are this year going to be in 9th and 10th grade. With the birth of my twins, I won't be teachng my sisters though. It would just be too much! I have two of my nieces with me today and overnight until tomorrow so I'm even busier with 6 kids

Mexican was delish, but I didn't do very good at jumping back on the wagon yesterday and ate pizza at last nights party (bad bad...). BUT, today I'm back on! I haven't yet stepped on the scale to see what the damage is. I was too scared. I decided to give myself one good protocol day before I check. I'm sure it will take me another day or two to get back to where I was though. Gosh it's hard to get back on protocol after eating good food!

Wow, what a busy schedule! I'm always so impressed with the dedication homeschoolers have...I know it's tough work (but worth it).

Good luck eating clean...I'm moving into P3 and glad to have more variety at last!

Thanks for checking in and giving us an update! I know how busy homeschoolers are, I homeschooled my 3 up until last year. It is HARD work!
Looks like you have a great plan for getting back on track and Im sure any weight you gained with the parties will quickly drop off. Did you get on the scale today?

I'm still here... finally getting back on track. Last week was a total bust. I kept being on again off again. It was bad. This past weekend I was thinking about just throwing in the towel... i sure hate to diet and I sure love to eat! But I talked myself out of it on Sunday. I've been back strict on protocol since Monday. I was surprised to find I was only 2 pounds up from my low weight this morning. Hopefully my indiscretions from this past week will be gone soon and I'll be able to start losing more weight soon. Not sure what I'mg oing to do form here on out. My husbands dad and step-mom are coming to visit next week and I wanted to be in P3 while they are here, but I obviously haven't had a very good P2. I guess we'll just see... gotta think on this a little more!

Very excited to report I'm back down to 199. I can't believe it only took 2 good days to get back there. Hope to see some nice losses the rest of this week!

Hi Trish (and all the fabulous ladies on here!)

Thank you for posting your breastfeeding/weight loss journey. I nurse my 12 month old (twice a day now) and was worried about breastfeeding while doing this weightloss journey and I'm so glad another Mama is breastfeeding while trying to lose weight.

I, too, held onto weight while nursing and here I am, at 208 lbs. I also had some other set backs this past year (loss of a loved one, emergency surgery with a long recovery time) but still managed to nurse my daughter. She's turned a year old last week, and I'm happy to say I'm providing enough for her daily milk needs!

Really, so happy to see another breastfeeding mom trying to take control of herself again! xoxo

A couple of years ago I did hhcg while I was breastfeeding my 1 year old, but wasn't too worried about milk supply because we were only breastfeeding a couple times a day and I was getting ready to wean him. It went really well and I lost 35 pounds. I had 17 more that I wanted to lose.... but I took the summer off and then I got pregnant so I never did get down to goal weight. I'm sure with only nursing your 1 year old twice a day that you'll do great on this protocol. I've tweaked the protocol and am taking in extra calories since I'm nursing two babies full time, but I'm still seeing some loss. Not as dramatic or quick as last time... but that's OK. At least the scale is moving in the right direction!

wow, I breastfed and one of the perks was losing my baby weight faster. I never knew that so many women hold on the weight while nursing! I wish you all great success!

Kellic I'm jealous!! Although, 6 weeks post partum I lost a loved one and then 6 weeks later had emergency surgery so I think both of those added to not losing the baby weight. Emotional eater here!!

I started the HCG diet while still nursing my 1 year old, I did a lot of research before starting it and the only thing that really worried me was the detox thing which only lasts about a week. At least it did for me. I started out slow and a day into it noticed my daughters bottom breaking out with a rash so I started her on probiotics and quit nursing her for a couple days, she went on goat milk during that time. After the first week she was fine I was fine and I had no problems with my milk supply, I was doing the strict 500 calories.

You say you haven't been pregnant or had a baby? Well if you had you would know that's kind of a silly thing to say because that warning label is on EVERYTHING! I've even seen it on pill bottles that are strictly for nursing woman. You couldn't take anything if you followed all of the warnings. You have to use common sense and knowledge you've acquired while researching and reading. I 've nursed while pregnant and I have a heck of a lot more HCG running through my body while pregnant than you could ever have doing the HCG diet.

I was so scared to even go LC while bf'ing, so I did for 1 or 2 meals each day and limited my sweets in the evening. It sounds like you've done some research.
Do you know about the HCG diet? While losing weight you are not pulling nutrient from your bones and heart. That's the great thing about the HCG diet your body is taking the nutrients it needs from your extra fat stores. It did not effect my milk supply in the least and I never felt tired.

I am the same way, I've never lost weight while nursing and in fact gain about 10 pounds back after the baby is born. I lost about 50 pounds doing 3 rounds of HCG while nursing my little girl before I got pregnant with my third. I am hoping to do the same as you after I have my baby. You didn't have any problems with detoxing the first week? Another friend of mine started doing the diet when her baby was 5 months old. She started him on yogurt the first day she started the diet and never had a problem with him getting a rash.

Well I wish you luck I am happy to see others are in the same boat as me.
I will be watching your progress. It's hard to find info about the HCG diet and nursing so maybe we can change that.

Welllll... I hate to report, but it's turned out to be a failure of a round. I got down to 198 (8 pound loss from my pre-load weight). Anyhow, went on P3 before I really wanted to, because we were having company for several days and I wanted to be able to eat semi-normal. I've spun a little out of control on P3. I'm thinking I'm going to start over again soon. I really want to get started on weight loss so I'm thinking about starting P2 on Sunday or Monday... but then I get nervous because I have a couple of big parties over labor day weekend and my mother-in-law will be here from the 14th-21st... just SO much going on this month. I have such a hard time dieting when I'm with people. I guess I'm a really social eater. Any suggestions?!

I have to time my rounds around events. Luckily I'm not that social! If I have to go out to dinner, I definitely want to be on P3 by then.

I would keep trying to maintain until you have a clear window...I know with those beautiful babies, you are going to continue to have many visitors!

I probably should wait.... argh! I'm so sick of being fat, I'm not even comfortable in my own skin. I want to diet, but I just don't know if I'd stick with it good with as much as we have going on this month.

Alright, we're going to try this again and hopefully with much better luck! The plan is to load this weekend. I have a weekend full of activities, so it should be easy! I've gotten through all of the parties and events going on in September and currently have nothing social on the calendar past this weekend. I"m sure some things will pop up, but hopefully not too much because this diet is SO very hard to do in social situations.

The plan is to start P2 on Monday and do about a 5 week round.

Unfortunately I've gained the few pounds I lost back, plus a couple more.

Babies are a little older now, and sleeping a bit better. I'm hoping getting more sleep will help keep me on track, motivated, and the weight coming off easier. Speaking of sleep... time to get some!

Looking forward to getting started soon

Alright, I think I had a couple of great load days! I sure enjoyed eating lots of food... though feeling kinda like a stuffed pig at the moment! I'm ready for my first VLCD tomorrow... ready to lose some serious poundage.

Though the weight loss and fitting into smaller clothes is quite a good motivator in and of itself as an added incentive my husband thought it would be nice for me to have an extra treat (he's uber sweet and wonderful). SO, we're making rewards for certain weight loss goals. The first one, after losing my load weight plus 10 pounds I get a pedicure I just know those 10 pounds will be gone before I know it and I'll be enjoying a nice foot massage with my pedicure.

Tomorrow, I take measurements and maybe I'll take pics too.

Thanks for the well wishes. Jen, you've done awesome! Down over 30 pounds... very inspiring, hope I can get there soon too!

Rough night and day today. I have FOUR sick kids. The babies have just been sleeping a lot, my 7 year old has been fine, but my 3 year old has been a bear to deal with! Hoping this will pass soon. I believe it's fifth disease, which has been passed around between a lot of kids around here lately. Yuck!

Successful first day... lost 6 of my 9 loading pounds. I felt like I was living in the bathroom yesterday. Getting rid of all that water weight and I don't feel near so puffy today. Hoping to drop the rest of the load weight today.

I am HUNGRY this morning though. I'd be lying if I didn't say getting my kids breakfast this morning was a huge exercise in self control. I usually try to wait until between 12-2 before I eat my first meal, but I think I'll be eating earlier today.

Honestly, the social situations were the absolute hardest for me too during my 65 day P2! We go over my parent's house every Sunday in the summer (they have a pool) and it was true torture because my mom always has snacks sitting around the pool and then her dinners are full-on feasts with lots of side dishes like potato salad, mac and cheese, potato casserole etc...

I'd like to be able to give you some kind of magic trick to surviving it all but I really just had to white-knuckle it and eat my P2 food while everyone else was raving about the other foods. I just kept reminding myself that this wasn't going to be forever and that my end-goal was super important to me. I knew if I cheated even once that I might spiral out of control so in 65 days, I never once cheated. You just really have to wait until you are super committed and feel like nothing is going to derail you. I know it's hard though--especially since I homeschool my 3 boys so I'm constantly having to make them food all day long!

Yesterday I was definitely more hungry, but glad I stuck it out. I dropped the rest of my load weight +.6 pounds. Ready to start losing some serious weight today :-)

Nicole- WOW, a 65 day P2. That's great! I am sure I couldn't last that long. That's great you were able to stick with it and get to goal. I keep telling myself... this is for a short period of time and it will be SO worth it to be more healthy and comfortable.

Dropped another 1.4 pounds. Yay! Dealing with headaches though. Probably partly sugar withdraw and partly lack of sleep. Babies haven't been sleeping as well the last few nights... probably because they're getting over their little sickness all of my kids have had.
