I'm always hungry after dinner :(

I feel unsatisfied with the small meal and always say "I'm still hungry" after dinner. It's a terrible feeling to have at the end of the night when you're winding down and relaxing.

I take my last dosage of drops at 7pm and I have dinner around 8pm. I'm usually in bed by 11p.

What should I do? I know we're not supposed to be hungry, but frankly, sometimes I am. For reference, this is VLCD 7 for me

Have you tried playing with your dosage amounts at all? I haven't done it, so I'm afraid I'm not much help, but there are a few people here that have. Hopefully, they'll chime in. We'll get it figured out. :console:

I would have my supper at about 5:30 pm have my last fruit around 8 pm and then my last dose at 9 pm I wasn't hungry having my schedule like this so if you can have your fruit for a snack later.

My stomach is always growling and empty for the rest of the night. I always go to bed hungry. I take the homeopathic pellets. What I do to satisfy my hunger is have some hot tea or drink some water. It seems to help.

I *think* I remember doing that during my first round. I was afraid it would mess with my losses, so I didn't stick to it.

Thanks for reminding me of that, though! I might have to bite the bullet and do it

I take the homeopathic ones as well. I'm going to have to remember to have tea at nights again. I does help :)

8pm is time for the biggest Pink Lady or Braeburn apple I can find and my piece of Wasa Crisp bread on P2. I eat those with about 20 ounces of seltzer water with lime.

amylou 07-14-2011 09:32 AM

How many pellets are you taking? Maybe up the afternoon or eve dose by 1 pellet.

If I get hungry after dinner I typically just let it ride. I keep downing my water, and will have a fruit if I have it left. I think a lot of my hunger comes from years of habit of having a snack when I'm chilling before bed watching tv, so I'm trying to retrain my brain that it's time for relaxing, not snacking!

LOTS of hot tea was the only thing that helped me when the after-dinner hungries started. And more water.

Or sometimes a cup of low-sodium hot chicken broth (the kind w/o sugar).

I am still dealing with hunger issues too. I WILL figure this out, cause HCG is awesome!

I am the opposite, in that, I get hungry mid-morning and mid-afternoon. It doesn't seem like eating my apples/melba has that much affect on it. So, I am back to messing with my dosages. (3/3/3/3) Hears hoping we figure it out. :hugs:

Millenia98 07-14-2011 12:30 PM

Yes, I hope we do! :)

What's the 3/3/3/3 thing?

amylou 07-14-2011 12:49 PM

She's taking 3 (pellets, drops, whathaveyou) 4 times per day.

Ah, ok. So, you can split the dosage? For example, if I take 32 drops per day, I can do 8/8/8/8 one day and see if that's better?

Zbunny 07-14-2011 02:07 PM

Hi Millenia,

I'm splitting mine (pellets) up into 4 doses per day right now, and I think it's helping. I have read that with homeopathics, it's not necessarily the amount of each dose that needs to be tweaked, but the frequency of each dose that needs to be fine-tuned in order to work -- everyone is different so there is no one size fits all dosing schedule -- so I think that your idea of doing 8 drops 4x per day might help and is definitely worth trying.

Susiecarbojunkie 07-14-2011 05:42 PM

I found some neat tea this morning at the grocery--it is from the Wu-Yi tea co. called Skinny Choco Latte--
it has Oolong tea, Yerba Mate, green tea extract, cocao, guarana, garcinia cambogia (suppresses appetite), nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, and stevia

I only had one cup over ice
it was good--not very chocolate-y, but good
and the Yerba Mate, extra green tea extract and garcinia cambogia are good for you

I thought it helped my hunger--athough, I wasn't experiencing that "gnaw your arm off" type hunger--but it's worth a try if adjusting your doses doesn't help

another thing I did one time was to take a few of my older amino acid hcg drops (didn't have enough for a round, so I'm taking a few drops when hungry and before exercise--my logic tells me that the amino acids help preserve muscle)

I noticed that some of the pellets you can buy have the amino acids in them as well
soo..for what it's worth, like they said-we'll figure it out somehow...:)

Are you saying that yo normally take all your drops at once??? I have never heard of doing them that way. Most frequent is 10 drops or 3 pellets 3x per day. Some people reduce the amount and take them up to 6x per day. I ended up needing 12 drops 3x per day or 4 pellets 3x per day.

No, I take 10/10/10 (10 drops 3 times per day).

I was asking if I should now spread it out to 4 times (taking 8 drops each time). I will try that tomorrow

shelbyla 07-15-2011 07:02 AM

Sorry--I misunderstood! Let us know how it goes. My GF ended up doing 6x6 and that's what worked best for her.

Millenia, I was doing the 10/10/10 drops and I was DYING at night. The pain was horrible. So, in desperation I moved to 5/5/5/5/5/5 (5 drops 6 times a day) WHAT A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE. I rarely feel that hunger pain and when I do it's 'cause it's time to eat or time to dose.

I also do the tea at night because I can't have my glass of wine. OH I miss that more than my coffee with cream.

Good luck to ya. Let us know.
