HCG/ general questions

I am doing the homoepathic drops that I got through my chiropractor. I am on day 13 and tired of being hungry. I have only lost about 5 pounds so far, but can tell I'm losing inches. :confused:I am following the plan pretty strictly. There have been a couple of days where I have had to eat at other places, but have been very careful about what I ate and made sure I knew exactly how many calories I was eating. If I go under about 650 calories, I am pretty hungry, especially at night. Any suggestions? I'm also looking for tips in general. I am having difficulty having regular bowel movements, but have already read some things I think I will try. If there is the specific name of a product that anyone has found very helpful (that is safe), please pass it on.

Hi Carrieann! Hang in there. How much weight are you trying to lose? Sometimes, if you don't have that much to lose--like less than 25 pounds--it is REALLY slow going. You might not have that much abnormal fat to lose. As for the bowel movements, it is entirely normal to have those slow down to be as infrequent as every 4 days or so. You aren't consuming as much, and what you ARE eating is very clean, so there isn't as much waste. However, Smooth Move tea is super helpful. Follow the instructions on the box, and drink it at night. You will typically have "success" the next day. (For me, it is usually by the afternoon). There are several different flavors, so you should be able to find a variety that you would like. I find mine at Sprouts, Whole Foods, or Vitamin Cottage. ( I think our SuperTarget has it, too.) Finally, I find that cinnamon apple tea from Celestial Seasonings is very helpful with curbing hunger at night. (Nights are hard!)

You will make it! Good luck! There's TONS of great advice here, and I am sure some of the veterans will chime in with great tips.

Kay

one more question/amount of drops

Thanks so much for your help! I just read that it is the 500 calories a day in combination with the drops that resets your bodies system for the weight loss, but everything I'm reading basically says that you should not be starving..Have you heard anything about how many drops you should take (or what the average is). My chiropractor's program is 5 drops, 3 times a day..I'm wondering if I should experiment with a few more drops each time and see if that helps with not being so hungry...because that is really what is keeping me from being able to stay at 500 calories.

I did about 15 drops 3 times a day. But I don't know if it's the same stuff. I'd up the drops to experiment right away. YOU SHOULD NOT BE HUNGRY AT ALL, (unless it's like half hour before dinner)

I'd be careful about eating out (I think that's what you mean by "had to eat at other places". So many restaurant foods have hidden sugars or fats. These could definitely contribute to your hunger and slow weight loss. I made sure I carried an apple or a serving of grilled chicken with me when I thought I would be away from home at meal time.
Good luck!!!

Natural Calm is awesome. It's a calcium/magnesium powder you mix with water. It's raspberry-lemon flavored and sugar-free- tastes good!
