I've heard you shouldn't do a bunch in a row, though, just alternate them with clean eating days. ...and pssssst...YOU ARE NOT FAT! Quit saying that or I am going to have to come down there and smack you upside the head! You are gorgeous!!!!!

Cathy - OUCH! That sounds completely awful! Did you start P2 yet? I can't remember where you are in your round. Not that you'll feel like eating much, but I guess this is what the Biz shake is for! (and the painkillers... ) Take it easy on yourself, ok?

Drew - what are we gonna DO with you girl??? Is that TWO cheats in a week??? Where you at?? You need a kick in the pants? (<---that's as close as I can find! ) Now STOP it! Get yourself right back on track! Postpostpost if you feel like eating. You've come so far--don't go back now!

Not much to report around here. Yoga last night night and my legs are going to be SORE later. Ouch. After a few days of Bernice being a little TOO present, now she's playing hide and seek. Coffee date last night--another "meh". They like me a little too much but I'm so dang CHARMING and it's hard to be mean! But seriously, I'm not going to waste my time on anything with no chemistry. BTDT, not going there again! Anyway, there are plenty of fish in the sea--no worries finding another date. Just want to find an interesting one!

Michelle, men... the good ones are sooo hard to find!! I hope the right one pops in soon!! Not really P2, I am however now on a liquid diet, as I cannot eat a darn thing. Just sticking yogurt on my tongue is hard to swallow! I am able to do protein shakes though (so far, only on the first day after so far)

I go back at 4:30 for a checkup with them, and see how things are progressing with the stitches. I am not looking forward to them taking this out and shoving it back in there again. Sounds like a nightmare all over again. I wont even take it out for fear I will not put it back in! And there are 4 out on the bottom as well, and they are making my bottom jaw ache too! YUCK! And... my weight was up this morning...which is totally impossible as I did not eat all until after and then just a shake and some yogurt. But no exercise. Hopefully its the pain meds, water retention from surgery? anesthesia? who knows... Well hope you all have a great day, going to go lay back down..

Hi ladies!

I am totally back on track and gung-ho again. I don't know what my deal is. I get into funks sometimes (usually only last a bit, but long enough for me to decide to eat something crappy and it almost ALWAYS involves eating out…hmmmmm ) where I am like “screw this, I am never going to get to my goal anyway”, which is ridiculous and a totally mind freak. I think there is some fear mixed in there about the fact that YES I will actually reach my goal and have to deal with compliments and men approaching me more often. Should be a great thing right? But it’s scary too. Yes, I have issues. :blush:

Leticia, I know EXACTLY how you feel!! I have had to make myself buy things that aren’t black, cause I love it and because it’s super comfort zone for me. Plus it’s so stinkin’ classy!! I am actually contemplating buying a red dress for one of the dinners I am going to in Paris. One I bought is of course black, but it’s lace that is over flesh tone fabric (one shouldered with rouching (sp?) at the side).

Why thanks--I will!! You guys are FUN! (But my heart is aching for those with dental *issues.* I'm a lifelong dentist-phobe myself, but have been forcing myself to just bite the bullet and get in for my six month check-ups for the last couple of years. But the dental misery stories I could tell you....oy....)

Thanks Cathy. Yes, it is. One of my friends calls me Mousie Brown (long story). But honestly I just can't be bothered to make it a more "interesting" color and keep it that way. Luckily I don't seem (knocking on wood here) to have too much grey hair yet so until that starts coming in thick, I'll probably just leave it as is.

just coming in for a hug. what should have been a great day (my son's 2nd bday) has been $H!++Y!!!!!! Bday boy woke up sick (so that makes all 4 of us sick now) and with a fever of 100.2...work was crazy busy...i had to go to a work function in the pm, so couldn't even spend much time with bday boy...ds1 decided to guzzle down a whole bottle of liquid advil and hubby had to take him to the ER while i was a good 45 min away (1.5 hrs with the traffic back up) at this work function. of course, i took it upon myself to eat a good 6 or 7 nice sized sugar cookies and then purge them.

however, to keep in theme with the above posts (aka dental woes), my *!)#($$*#&*ing TMJ is still killing me and i've returned to my manual toothbrush bc it's easier to fit into my mouth with my limited jaw excursion. going to bed now. today SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!

Drew, I feel your pain. I had to do a correction day yesterday, on only my third day. Geez--talk about being an abject FAILURE at P3. Depressing....and I haven't even really had anything but meats and veggies so far. I'm too scared to add cheese or cream or anything. I'm wondering if my almost two pound bump-up was from adding coconut oil to my coffee. Maybe too much fat for my body too soon? So I didn't do that today.

I'm back down 1.4, in my window again. This P3 is going to be tricky business for me, I guess. I so long to be able to just eat P3 foods moderately and be stable, and not have to obsess too much. Hope I can get there...

Letitia and Cathy--my heart is aching for your dental (and other) woes. Cathy, sometime when we're all really bored, I will tell you the long saga of my dental implant sufferings. Ha! (We'd have to be pretty bored to want to hear it.) The one good thing about all of that is that my teeth are absolutely beautiful now--what could be whiter than a mouth full of beautiful white fillings, white crowns and a couple of implants, to boot! Seriously, modern dental work is beautiful. I'm sure for both of you that your "new teeth" will be lovely when it's all said and done, and you'll be grinning like fools in every photo!

Letitia, I overdosed my baby on children's Tylenol cold medicine once. He was only about 8 months old. I read the label wrong, and gave him something like 2 teaspoons instead of a half teaspoon. As soon as he swallowed, I realized what I had done and was sobbing by the time I threw him into the car and sped him to the doctor's office. The doc handed me a kleenex, kinda laughed, and said "yeah, he may be a little sleepy for the next few hours," and sent us back home. I don't know how many times through the years I called the poison control hotline for various bizarre things my children ate. Yet somehow, they are now 26 and 28 years old, in spite of me! It is HARD to be a mommy.

Jessica, I would love implants, but they are soooo expensive!! They told me like 3000 per tooth... OUCH! But I bet that hurt like HE!! too!!!! I hate dentists and dental work, etc etc... Hopefully I will be able to stop thinking about it soon!! LOL

Morning ladies! Hope all the tooth trauma is getting slightly better. Also the fever trauma, post-trip trauma, and (for me) the gastrointestinal trauma!

Yeah, I've had something going on the last few days. I thought my girlfriend had OD'd on too much magnesium last week but when I turn up with the same symptoms, I tend to look toward some sort of stomach bug. In any case, weight seems to be stabilizing around 152 or so. Now we'll see what it looks like after a day of "normal" eating!

I'll check in properly later (and update you on the latest date--who actually looks like he might be somewhat promising???).

Hi lovies! feeling like $#!+ still today. even came home early from work. sorry that we are all in such cruddy shape! i guess misery truly loves company. have no clue what i weigh today and don't want to know. water intake has been bad for a good 5 days at least. i must celebrate the fact that i could actually er...um...drop the kids off at the pool today, since it only happens every 4 or 5 days. thank goodness for costco's fiber gummies or it would happen about every 8 days! :-( well, just checking in...my kids are being good and watching plaza sesamo (sesame street in spanish), so i'm going to go lay back down (And blow my nose even more!). hope i'm feeling human tomorrow. i have to drive a good hour to 1.25 hours out to see the new graduate that i'll be mentoring/supervising.

Hello ladies!

Stomach bug all gone but MAN it was nasty while it lasted! I am not usually one for the stomach things but BLEH! Seriously! Sorry everyone else is feeling generally icky--toothwise and flu-wise! all around!

In other news, weight has been pretty stable the last couple of days in the 152-153 range. Today is my first day eating normally though so we'll see what that brings. I just had an incredibly yummy burger--two beef patties stuffed with goat cheese and red onion with a side of roasted brussels sprouts. Yum! Following it up with a little fruit salad topped with heavy cream. Double yummmmm....

Had a date last night. I am cautiously optimistic about this one but we'll see if he calls. In the meantime, I've got two more fish on the line! I'm such a player! I'll keep you posted...I know you are waiting with bated breath...

Knock wood--I seem to be stabilizing too! Yesterday I ate the most calories I have dared since starting P3 a week ago, 2100. And my weight stayed the same (LDW + .6)! Inspired by you, Michelle, I'm gonna keep pushing that envelope and see if I can go higher.

Hope it's a nice Saturday for you ladies. It's a HOT one already in the OC. I actually left the AC on all night, something I NEVER do.

Right there with ya, Jess. I'm in LA, near the marina, and have the AC cranked. Glad to hear the higher calories appear to be agreeing with you! I think we are so conditioned to thinking less is better in terms of calories that it's really hard to get out of that mindset. We also get so used to seeing the scale go down in P2 that any movement in the opposite direction is a major freak-storm. Even though I've cursed the scale myself many many times because I seem to bounce up 2-5 pounds every week, I think the huge jumps are kind of making me numb to little ones. And frankly even the big ones these days aren't that big of a deal since they happen so often.

Went to bed kind of late last night for me and didn't sleep well but was up at the crack of dawn today. Up a pound but still 1 under LDW at 153. Exercise, coffee and breakfast with gf1, along with a little recorded True Blood. Yum. And I ain't talkin' about the eggs over medium! Can I just say that I LOVE tanktops. Especially, TIGHT, GREY, TANKTOPS...

I have to get weekly cooking done today since I've got serious plans tomorrow. Coffee with gf2, dinner with friends tomorrow night. I am bringing low-carb cheesecake with caramel swirl and totally forgot to put the sour cream in it! Oh well. I mean, really--how bad can it be? Eggs, cream cheese, sweetener, sugar free caramel... Smells divine! Now I just have to keep my mitts out of it until tomorrow's garden party. Wine and cheese, oh my! I also made a pan of fudgey peanut coconut bars so I have a little something for tonight. Dinner will be a little later--pan fried pork shoulder chops, roasted brussels sprouts, maybe a little potato since those haven't seemed to bother me the last few days, some berries... Wow. I guess I HAVEN'T lost my obsession with food!

Ok, I KNOW I need to learn this but ME...AT HOME...WITH FOOD... does NOT equal a good time with Mr. Scale! Major water weight retention from yesterday's nibbling of sugar free cheesecake, chicken thighs, and bacon. Never even made dinner since I was so full from all the dang "tasting"! Seriously--2.5 pounds. LDW of 154.6 and this puts me 1.3 over. And I've got wine, cheese and dinner at a friend's house tonight. At least I have plenty of chicken thighs baked for the inevitable correction day on Monday!

Btw, the s/f caramel cheesecake turned out ok (so "ok" that I nibbled a good portion of it) but I wasn't sure that I wanted to take it to a party. So...I made another one--this time with strawberry/raspberry swirl. And I remembered the sour cream this time! This one got a little more brown than I'd like but I think it will do! At least the bits that I picked off taste pretty good... :blush:

Okay, I have to share! I wrote that guy back and explained (very nicely) that asking for a picture without asking anything about me was not a good start.

This is what he wrote me back, "So do you move into a apartment or house,with out first seeing the big picture first, logically disecting the what's, what to really see if its a fit for you ? Like most on line apartments, their's full detail pictures, short video clips, so a person can really see if their satisfied with that look, before they move in. Are you catching my drift?"

I was like....he did NOT just compare me to an empty apartment! Plus, how can he not spell (it's a pet peeve of mine)? On one hand I kind of get where he is coming from, but on the other...seriously dude? Can't you at least pretend to not be shallow and superficial?! And it's not like he hasn't seen pictures of me. He just hadn't seen a full body one. Sigh...

I'm having some hypo symptoms today--primarily temp related. Woke up to a chilly 96.6 today. Ouch that's low! I am iron fasting this week for blood tests on Friday so I am sure this is why it's dropping. Also have some assorted weird aches from yoga last night so that's hypo symptom #2. STILL spotting, dangit all. Hopefully Aunt Flo will show up soon--someone told me that after the first regular Aunt Flo, the spotting should decrease significantly or stop. I can hope! Anyway, hope all is better with everyone else!

Absolutely no news with me, and I'm very happy about that. I am maintaining easily and happily, eating more than I ever dreamed I could without gaining. Shelby, I am SO glad I "listened" to your input about calories (is it listening when you actually READ the words? ). It's becoming clear to me that in my case, more is better than less.

I guess I could wish that I was maintaining BELOW my LDW rather than a pound above, but seriously, what difference does a pound really make? This is so easy, I'm afraid I'm going to wake up and find it was all just a dream...

Letitia, I'm sending some happy, stress-free, tooth-pain-free vibes down San Diego way. I know August has been one big challenge, but that sucker is almost GONE. Hang in!

Drew--I think you should get all your dating advice from Shelby from here on out!
