Jessica, sorry you still cannot stabilize... just keep fighting the good fight. We only fail when we quit trying. Its gotta stop soon right? Maybe it just wants to stabilize a pound or two higher than your LDW.. ??? maybe??

News flash: I had a decent weigh-in today, only .2 different than yesterday. Honestly, this is a the first time in two weeks I didn't go up a pound after a non-correction day. Is it a sign of stabilizing, or just a fluke? No clue, but I'm still pathetically grateful...

Hi girls.

Just breathing through a few challenges around here. Mr. New Guy is really really busy. Hopefully after his midterms this week, we'll be able to see each other a bit more (breathe breathe breathe). I went running yesterday--NOT the best plan for me. I am walking like a severely arthritic 80 year-old right now. Jeez oh pete--my hips are KILLING me! I also did weights again today so tomorrow I will probably be sore all over. Gotta love it!

Cathy - looks like you are rocking your round! Keep it up, girl!

Jess - So glad to hear that you are finally stabilizing (whispering--don't want to jinx it!) Are you going to join us in LB this weekend?

Okay, I think Letitia is officially MIA!!! I think we better send out a search party for our girl!!!!

I was down the 0.4 I was up yesterday, so nothing basically for 2 days. TOM is due this weekend, not sure if thats part of it, but boo!! Was hoping for better this morning!!

Total net loss for the week is 3.2 lbs. Guess I will take that and hope for better next week end!!

Snowing and cold brrr...... here... hope you all are warm somewhere else!!

Cathy, it's all in your perspective, girl. I had two different weeks with only 1 pound of loss, so 3.2 sounds fantastic to me. And heck, it took me a month of Atkins to lose that, if I could lose at all! Chin up!

(Meanwhile, I apparently rejoiced too soon, because I popped up 1.2 pounds overnight and am having to correct today. Seriously, though, I'm not too bummed about it. I don't mind correcting every fifth day. Just not every other day, ya know?)

Well, I spoke too soon too and fell off the horse and got run over last night. TOM is looming and I caved to a potato cheese burrito and some cookies and froyo last night... today... up 5.6 lbs... basically all I lost on 2000 calories. I am sure some of it is water, but it will still take me several days at least to recoup what took me 2 weeks!!! UGH!! Shoot me now!!!

I hope this one sticks for a few more days for you then Jess!!!

Cathy - what do you need from us? Hugs? Advice? Platitudes? A swift kick in the pants? You just let us know... In any case, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get back on that wagon!

Jess - take a look at my P3 numbers...I was bouncing around for the full three weeks. I got to the point where any change UNDER 1.5 pounds was "stable." I think sometimes it just takes a little time for the weight to settle down.

Letitia - do we have to send out the cavalry, girl?


As for me, down 2.1 of the 2.6 from the previous day as the inflammation from my foolish running escapade dies down. The worst part of that is that I am too sore to do any other working out so not only am I in pain, but I am now unable to do cardio or weights for another week. Seriously, I really need to learn my lesson here...

hi my lovelies!

sorry i've been m.i.a. so long. it's been a pretty rough week for me--crazy busy at work, pms'y, halloween, and major emotional stress over finances. i've not been so worried about finances since about 2001 and i'm not pleased. it's so much pressure being the only income. i PRAY that i can get at least 2-4 clients to do private, in-home therapy with. we are REALLY in dire need of the money now. i also PRAY that dh gets into law school and that he gets a grant or scholarship of some sort. i don't know how we can swing this otherwise, and he's worked so hard to realize his dream of being a lawyer. i don't think i could ever forgive myself if i was holding him back somehow. please say some prayers for us. oh i'm so sick about it...i won't even get into my weight/eating. we'll just leave it at the number i'm at right now pretty much looks like my starting point of my last round. :-( plan to have thanksgiving as p1d2. i guess a very limited bank account will help me stay on task this time. ;-)

just checking in,since i had a few minutes. weight? eh. no comment. eating? really no comment!

rough week for me emotionally. just learned an old grad school friend was diagnosed with cervical cancer the other day. plus, i'm battling a cold and trying to (although not very successfully) not worry about finances. oh yeah, and to top it off this whole penn state situation has been hard. it hits me on so many levels: a penn state grad school graduate, a mom of two boys, and as a professional who ethically and legally must report abuse or suspected abuse. sigh. it's been a rough week. glad i have today and tomorrow off to rest up some.

please tell me someone is having a good week. :-) i think i'll finally check out drew's pics to lift my spirits.

Hey guys! I've been a VERY bad honorary SCAM member, but I'm still out here, alive. It's going to be really busy for me until after the holidays--so many rehearsals and music things. But I decided to do a very short third round and then try P3 again. Hoping my body will be happier at a slightly lower weight. And it is actually easier to do P2 when I am busy, because I don't think much about eating.

Letitia, I hope things get less stressful for you. My heart really goes out to you. Being broke is HARD, and we've all been there before. Things will get better, probably when you least expect it.

hi there, strangers! went to my professional organization's national convention for the first time...despite being in the field for 16 years! it was here in san diego but a gf and i stayed at a local hotel. her friend works there and got her a discounted price and then she decided to write it off on her taxes as a business expense, so i stayed for free! it was a nice break from my home (poor kids were getting sick and i was just getting over it...for the most part). great to see so many colleagues, some old friends, and folks from my agency (which is headquartered in PA). overall, it was a good trip for me professionally, as i had some important meetings with some big wigs. (i'm still in shock that the ceo of this nationwide company knew of me and personally told me that he wants me growing my position within and that i have a big future there!). very strange to be offered so many great opportunities, since as a clinician, they are usually quite rare. now, i have to figure out what i want my job position to be...and to eventually negotiate MORE money! anyway, i'm back home now and happy to see my family. looking and feeling like a sausage popping out of its casing and really reallly really want to get back on the program right after thanksgiving. i pray i can keep my head on straight this time. how are you guys doing???? (in all areas of your lives)

Good to hear from you Letitia.... That sounds wonderful about your trip and the CEOs wanting more from you. Makes you feel special and important. I am sure you deserve more in your job, so yeah for you!! Great job!!

What an analogy, sausage popping out of its casing... got a great visual with that one!! I am feeling a bit that way today too... messed up yesterday and am paying for it today!! I had gotten down to 149.2 and then ovulation time (I think) came along and screwed it all up again and I started going back up, and still have not recovered back. Its time for my interrupt for Thanksgiving and my Birthday so yesterday will be my LIW (even though I am 3+ higher today..UGH) and hope that I will stick with the 150.4 from yesterday instead... until after my break and then will go back on on the 30th and hope for 140 before Christmas... pipe dreaming, but you know, a girls gotta have a dream!! LOL

I hope you find your mojo when you decide to start... its a tough time of year for eating in general and gaining too much, always a good time to diet, although most try not to...

I am going to try very hard to maintain at least where I am during the break and hopefully continue after!!!

Yes I will need it too, as i am way up again this morning! UGH!! A couple more days and my Bday will be over and I will start again. The holiday was fine. Not my favorite holiday, but we made it through. Was nice to visit, but mostly its family I see all the time, so it was not "special" if you know what I mean... onward and downward, soon anyway! LOL
