hey girls...only a quick check in bc i'm pretty worked up by my ds AGAIN. i do not know what the heck is going on with him these past 7 days. if i could keep him from going to disney world right now, i would keep his butt home. im so frustrated and could just run away. :-( not sure why i even bother trying to lose weight. :-(

keep up the great and funny posts. (scrawny is good! lol) i'm getting a few smiles on my face each day from reading them. hugs.

aaah. all is right with the world again now that you ladies are returning. :-) the vacay was really really needed and a success. it was good to get together with my family (dad, stepmom, brother, mom, and her husband) all at my mom's timeshare. the kids got to bond with family, since we only see them once/year, if we're lucky. the vacay was so successful that i'm on P1D1 today. ;-( yay for cuban food!!!! lol goodness, i'm at 157.6 this morning (just 2 lbs below my starting point for the last round! oops.) i had better get losing weight bc i won't be able to fit my clothes! thank goodness i am on vacay until 11 october and can wear sweats!!! ;-) i think i'll do a medium round and tack on up to another 7 days to the short round. if i'm full-blown p3 for thanksgiving, my husband will cry. lol

what's going on with you guys? why has this thread been a ghost-town?

No worries--you know some of that is just "travel weight" that will fall off in a day or two. Push the water to hurry it along!

I'm back on P2, with one more week to go for this round. I expect to hit goal. The question remains, will I think that's enough or will I want to try to lose more? We shall see!

great job so far, jessica!!! i'm anxious to see if you'll be satisfied. i got just below my original goal weight (pre-pregnancy weight) and, of course, was unsatisfied. boy i wish i were back at that weight now! lol nothing like starting almost from scratch (like i never did that last round!!!). i think a couple pounds are water weight since i've been back to my horrible limited liquid-intake-habits again. pretyt much, i drink my espresso in the morning and MAYBE 12-16 oz of liquids the rest of the day. i know. i know. horrible. looking fwd to getting back on track, not having to figure out food, and to fit my clothes again!! ;-) surely, i've got to figure my body out and do this the way simeon intended, as far as maintenance. umm. surely. :-)

Hey Jess and Cathy!

Not much new going on with me. Still dating like a mad fiend but no one special yet. Mr. CO is still hanging about. Hasn't made much of an effort to see me again but he calls or texts from time to time. I've been dating about 2x a week and have at least one set up for this week already. I had one last Friday who was nice but I got the distinct impression that...well...he just wasn't that into me... No worries. LOTS of other fish in the sea!

Drew - I am SOOOOO jealous! For a long time Paris was my favorite city in Europe. It's recently eclipsed by Florence but still runs a darn close second. Favorite stuff includes the Rodin Museum, Sacre Coeur, the Dali Museum and Monmartre in general, and Pere Lachaise, the famous cemetery. Sounds creepy but it's really really cool. Musee D'Orsay is also really interesting and much more user-friendly for non-museum goers like myself.

Cathy- I've been doing well with my teeth but i DO need to schedule that scaling for the right side of my mouth. It's just so nice to be able to chew and to be able to open my mouth without excruciating pain again!! How is your mouth healing up? Any progress?

Europe??? Oh how my heart is in Europe still. I studied a semester in Spain, lived/worked in Northern Italy for almost 2 years and later lived/worked in Sicily, Italy for 6 years. My older son was born there actually. I had no interest in Paris for the longest time but got convinced to go for a 3 day weekend. BOY OH BOY!!!! I love Paris and was wondering why I was so stupid to avoid it for so long!! DH and I play the lotto sometimes (as well as watch Househunters International religiously) and we have determined that WHEN we hit the big lotto, we will move to Paris. He will go to culinary school and I will go to language schools. You girls better keep in touch and stay on my lovey-dovey list so you can come stay with me!! ;-)

The new avatar was taken down in Orlando this past Thursday. I can't believe I have gained 10 lbs!!! Boooooo! Hissssssss!!! Michelle, don't be fooled by the collar bones. They've always been prominent on me. They're pretty much my favourite body part on me...okay, the only part I like and don't find fault with. Anyhooooooo, tomorrow starts P2D1. Yikes!!! Wish me luck!! I'm going to need the well wishes, although I'm looking fwd to it getting me focused and back on track!!

Michelle- Do you ever get tired of dating or are you just enjoying it?

Letitia, yeah today was dooms day with the teeth. I am like you and half the trouble (more like 75%) of going to the dentist is the injections for the numbing... so they start in the corner muscle... UGH! and take forever, do that one, so ouch ouch... then they did one in the front lower jaw...OMG!!! she made a half golf ball size bump on my jaw with the injection stuff and i had to press on it to move it through the gum.... and then if all those shots were not bad enough, it did not numb totally on the other corner shots and she had to do it again! OMG! Then the torture of the procedure and then 2 cavity fillings too!! I hope i am done with the tough stuff there for a while. Still need a new plate in a couple weeks, but hopefully it will start to be smooth sailing after that!! I hear you on not wanting it done, but now I can say its done and not have to think about it anymore (that part anyway) Glad yours is feeling better...

As for 10 lbs, boy, you sure dont show it. You look great!!

Drew.. Paris...ahhh, I was there a couple years ago, but not for long enough. We were also doing the UK so only spent 2 days in Paris. How long are you there for? Have fun for all of us, and take some great photos!!

Michelle, I get tired of dating by reading your posts!! LOL But you are still young and vibrant, gotta have fun while you can. Just have a few kids and you will be ready for bed at 8:30 with the rest of us!!

I am actually in bed by 10, but sometimes read a bit after that! I used to stay up to 1 a.m. or sooo.. not anymore!

I hear you about not wanting to do it... It sucks, but if you do it and finish, you dont have to think about it anymore and you dont want to end up like me!

Hmmm...I'm kinda enjoying it, I guess. If I get tired, I'll stop. What I get tired of are people who play games or lie. Why not just say "You're not right for me" instead of "I'll call you." My feelings get more hurt if you say you will then don't. I also get tired of the guys who are super-OTT online then you meet them in person and it's all "You're SOOOOO serious--can't we just take it slow?" Seriously??? What's the point? We're not in highschool, guys!

Take Mr. CO, for example. We went out on our first date almost 6 weeks ago. Since then, I've spoken to him a couple times a week. BUT HAVEN'T SEEN HIM AGAIN SINCE. I keep stalking his profile because I am forgetting what he looks like! If he doesn't hurry up and ask me out again, I'm going to find someone and he will be SOL. I am a hot property, baby!

Oh and Cathy, I already go to bed at 8:30pm. Plays havoc with that whole dating thing during the week... My Thursday date this week actually gets up as early as I do so that may be a GOOD thing. He wouldn't think it was weird if I need to be in bed by 9pm. Oh and no kids for me. That boat sailed a while back. Planning for retirement now!

Shelby, you remind me of my daughter. After me nagging her to do it, she joined match.com, and it was disastrous. She was only 24 at the time, and she specifically said she was interested in a. DATING someone and b. dating someone aged 22-30. She got literally HUNDREDS of notes from creepy guys in their 40s and 50s posing next to their fancy car and saying "hey babe, I'm a doctor, I could be really good to you" and other gross stuff like that. And also notes from guys who wanted to meet at a motel for a good time and included their, erm...."measurements" in the note!

It really infuriated her, because she was pretty honest and specific about what she was looking for, ya know? Men....sheesh.

That's funny because oddly, I'm getting lots of notes from creepy guys in their 20's and 30's, posing with their shirts off and saying "hey babe, I'm a model/actor/waiter, I could be really good to you." Then asking me stuff I usually don't tell my boyfriends until we've been dating for a year or more! After the first couple of times that I shared an offline email address and got pictures or their...erm...measurements...I learned my lesson! Coffee BEFORE email addresses!

Hi Ladies! I will be in Paris for three days and then will take the train down to the middle of France for 8 days and then back up to Paris for another three days. I am so excited, I can barely stand myself.

I am excited about the whole adventure, but I am even MORE excited about going on my trip and being thin!!! I feel so much better about myself and I think that will allow me to have an even better time. I have bought way too many cute clothes, but I couldn't help myself!! I will be back on the 24th and will give you all the lowdown.

Late checkin today. Two days of gurgling gut aNd gas (although I let my 4 y/o think that I don't toot or poopL. Hey, don't judge me!! Lol). DS2 threw up on me yesterday but idk if it was a bug or the fact that he drank a lot of water really quickly. ( hunger strike bc we are trying to out-stubborn his picky eating little @$$). Uggh. Either way, my tummy is OFF! :-( Poor DH almost banished me from the bedroom. Hope this is gone by tomo, as we have our dear friends staying with us so they can go to DH's graduation on Saturday. Anyway, down to 154.0 this morning. Drank little today and am bloated so I'll try not to cry if I'm up tomorrow. Darn you Bernice!!!!!!

I had one of those gurgling/gassy days on Tuesday, and I couldn't figure out what caused it. I'm on P2, so it's not like my diet is varied or anything!
