I hear a lot of cottage cheese during P2

Is this really allowed? I'm pretty protocol with small tweaks here and there.

When do you have cottage cheese (and does it replace meat protein)? Is it as filling?

I'd love to incorporate it if it's not risky for losing steadily.

From "Pounds and Inches"

Many patients ask why eggs are not allowed. The contents of two good sized eggs are roughly equivalent to 100 grams of meat, but fortunately the yolk contains a large amount of fat, which is undesirable. Very occasionally we allow egg - boiled, poached or raw -to patients who develop an aversion to meat, but in this case they must add the white of three eggs to the one they eat whole. In countries where cottage cheese made from skimmed milk is available 100 grams may occasionally be used instead of the meat, but no other cheeses are allowed.

...and there you have it!

I've eaten a 4 oz. container for breakfast for the last week and I've had a loss every day since I started P2. Sometimes I have it with strawberries and stevia, sometimes w/ blueberries and stevia. I have protein 3 x a day.

I might allow hubby to do that (I abhor cottage cheese), he's having a hard time with the breakfast thing. Balance you eat protein 3 x a day, but do you only eat 200g total or more?

I eat a 4 oz container of cottage cheese in addition to my 200 gm. My calories are approx 575 a day.

I ate 1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese for lunch nearly every day during p2. I lost a bit slower than some people, but it was something I could stick with. (I really dislike eating meat)

Whenever I eat cottage cheese, I eat the fat-free and whip it up using my stick blender. It turns into a consistancy of ricotta cheese--or nearly like cream cheese

I do this for my mom--then she adds berries and tops it with Walden Farm strawberry syrup or their preserves or even the chocolate dip....you get the idea

it tastes so rich (just the cheese part), you wouldn't believe it's fat-free cottage cheese
