Going to start another round - dreading the hunger

I was so hungry the first couple of days the last time I did hhcg, that I am really dreading another round. But, this works, so I am going to do it.

Anyone have any luck with doing Atkins a week before a round and getting into ketosis before you start? Just wondering if that might help with hunger.

I said your exact same words about 2 weeks ago when I ordered my drops. This is my round 2 of P2 and I was *starving* during the first week of my first round. So, naturally, I dreaded the hunger for this round.

BUT, I have to tell you that the hunger is not usually here. Honestly. 100%. I loaded just like the members here told me to (very fatty, eat so much that you feel sick). AND b/c of this, my first week of P2 is not bad at all, and it only gets better from here. I did not do this at *all* during round 1. I tip-toed around the loading phase so that I wouldn't gain weight. But I paid for it later during round 1.

Do Atkins, yes, lots of oil. But also throw in a little fat from creams and desserts if you want (and French fries). You only have those two loading days, so take advantage. I’m salivating thinking about that now lol!

I did load really well, but still had major hunger issues. I hate to be hungry! (don't we all??)

I loaded with almost no carbs. Bacon, eggs, cheese, nuts, peanut butterrrrr, ribs, Myrna's NY Cheesecake (the one with the nut crust). I lost 5.5 lbs from my super rich high cal load, and didn't feel anything more than mental hunger during my first week. So I do think that a relatively low carb time before you start might really help. But I might not be the best advisor. I am diabetic, so my sensitivity to carbs is extremely high.

I am not diabetic, but I am insulin resistant, so I think I may do better without the carbs as well.

I have to agree with this. This is my second round. I have literally no hunger until right around meal time, and then it's just regular "hunger" not over the top I want to gnaw my arm off hunger.

I envy you guys. I literally ate until I was over-full. Tons of fatty foods - even ate coconut oil off the spoon to get additional fat in. But, I was still so hungry.

I was hungry my first round. :( But I muddled through.

Thanks. Most of the time, weight comes off faster when you have more to lose! Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.

if the hunger goes on for more than a day or two, you need to tweak your dosage, either up or down. period. you should NOT BE HUNGRY. keep us posted when you start. we can help! :)

mybigbutt 07-14-2011 07:32 AM

Thanks, I will do that. I can deal with a day of hunger, but more than that no.

I am going out of town next week, and I plan to start loading next Friday when I get back.
