Question about going into p3....

Ok so I'am going to try and explain this but I did a 21 day round and the last day of it I went off and gained 4lbs in 1 day after that I went into p3 for just about two days. Then my mom was going to start the diet so I like a dumby decided to load again for 2 days then restart which I have been on for a week. I know I have not done another full round but since I only took about 4 days off would it be possible for me to go into p3? I just have felt so bad and I just do not know if I'am going to be able to do it this time. This is my 4th round and I think I'am just ready for p3 but wanted to try and lose somemore. What do you think? do you think I wouldnt stabilize right because of going off those days?

o wow. there are other ladies way more knowledgable so we'll see if I come close to a good answer. I know that hcg stays in your system for a couple of days--that's why you stay on vlcd for a few days after you stop drops. I know, too, that the minimum round is 21 days and the "maximum" is 40 (some have gone longer with sucess -but it's the minimum of 21 that's important) So since the drops stay in your system for a few days-your going off for two days and starting back wouldn't be that big of a problem. If I'm understanding what you did, I THINK you could go off and just a careful P3 making sure you stablize. We'll see what the experts say

I don't know if there's a correct answer, but if you aren't feeling it...I'd definitely go back to P3 and spend plenty of time there. You should feel better and have a great chance to stabilize I think!

What you have done technically could be considered a scheduled interruption... which means basically you took a 4 day break and went back on plan. The loading wasnt the best thing to do, but its done so consider it a cheat day. Its really up to you what to do now if you keep going then stick to it, if you stop then make sure you do a complete p3 3 weeks before starting again. From how you are feeling I would go the p3 route but make sure that you correct any gains immediately. You didnt mention how much weight you gained and how it set you back but I'm assuming that you probably havent lost any weight since you went back on plan... so mentally this would probably be torturing you. So its not that bad but if the whole round resulted in gain instead of loss, maybe better to wait until your head is inthe right place?

I know how you feel because I once lost 80 lbs and then gained it back and here is the bottom line, ask yourself what is really important for you? Looking at your stats you arent far away from your goal but its most important not to reverse the effects of resetting your hypothamamus, making youself healthy and feeling great. I personally would do it when youre ready and dont spend time like I did gaining it back and losing it again. Make it count! But do it when you know you will stick to it.

This would be my advice as well ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

after I went off that one day and then decided to load again I went up 3lbs. I have lost that all from doing 10 days of the diet again. I actually went down 13lbs so I didnt go up at all I'am still at my lowest. I'am kinda frusterated because I had 5more lbs to lose before I have lost 60lbs but I just can not seem to do it right now. I may just try going into P3 and I plan on doing a correction day as soon as I gain 2. I think after doing a 21 day round I should not have tried to do it again because I was burned out.

Does anyone feel like after being on this diet they can not lose on any other diet? I feel like this now

Absolutely this Almost frustrating because I feel trapped. But in the same vein it is nice to finally find something that works.

I think you need the full 3 weeks P3 and 3 weeks P4. The stabilization really starts ramping up your metabolism, but it is not an instant process (or at least, never was for me).

I couldn't lose weight any other way before this diet (I was 200 pounds and would gain weight on atkins if I ate 1500 or more calories). So it definitely helped me...but YMMV. I do think we are individuals and what's working for one may not be the answer to another.

Yes, to all of the above. I was just commenting on how I don't think I could even lose the last 5lbs to my goal on my own in the Alternative thread. I just gain and gain. I have to make P3 work this time and fight for stabilization. I may do a really long P3 to make sure it "sticks", because I don't want to do this diet again until after I've had a baby and am done nursing!

Yeah I used to be able to lose on low carb now I feel like I dont lose or gain. I'am wanting to try and have a baby soon too, but of course scared to gain weight. At least i know something that will get it off. I to was put on prednisone yesterday so I'am really worried about it blowing me up I think I'am going to go into p3 and try to stabalize this weight for a bit.

If you are taking prednisone I would definitely move on to P3. Sticking to protocol when you're feeling good is tough enough, being ill makes it much worse.

I hope you feel better and stabilize soon
