New to HHCG
I think I am going to start loading on 7/15, but I am having a dental implant done that day and will be on pain meds for a couple days. Does anyone think this might cause a problem? Also, can someone please fill me in on what P2, P3, and P4 means? I get it that R1, R2...means what round you are on. Any other abriviations I should know about?
Thanks!! |

I totally agree with Shanna. You really have to stuff yourself on loading, and you may already be feeling sick due to the dental work and/or pain meds. I think I would wait at least one more day. Hey if you're gonna stuff yourself, you may as well enjoy it to the max--right? ![]() Good luck on the dentistry and then the loading, Chris |

You will be sore from the implant surgery. You'll be advised to eat very lightly, and of soft foods, like applesauce and yogurt. It is very possible that you won't have much of an appetite. We usually operated on patients receiving dental implants with general anesthesia - if that's the case with you - it could also make you feel queasy the next day. Just something to consider.

DONT do dental work on P2! I did it on my 2nd round (had 4 exts) and wasted a whole week of weight loss because i couldnt eat anything but chicken broth , sf jello, sf pudding, and greek yogurt for 6 days! I would wait to heal and then start....i dont know what i was thinking.

Hi, Paleo! I'm new to this too and I'll be loading starting on 7/23. I'm waiting that long because I have a trip to NYC 7/18-22 and I know there's no way I can stick to protocol while away from home! I'll keep an eye out for you and if we're starting around the same time, I'd love to have a buddy.

which is you weight on the last day you take Hcg... then you wait 72 or 48 hours depending if youre on injections or drops/pellets you go to phase 3 and you can have anything but sugar and starch... and if you go over 2 pounds past your last injection weight you have to correct it with a CD (correction day) eg. steak day.... some do GY (greek yogurt) days or egg days... LOL we speak HCG haha. |

Desifink, I kind of jumped the gun today. I had the drops with me and decided to start today with loading! We can still be buddies though and help one another through this! I'm all for that! I don't blame you for waiting until you get back from vacation!!
LaraSuzz, thanks! All these different abreviations had me confused! I'm following along much better now thanks to all of you!! |

Good luck, Paleo!!
![]() ![]() I'm jealous - I'd love to get started today - but I need to wait until I'm back in town and can really concentrate on it and control my food intake. I'm going to do the ChiroHCG and have my first appointment tomorrow, so I should be all set to get started when I'm back from NY. |

Oh thank you so much Shelbyla! If you hadn't told me that I could see me getting on the scale and having a cow. I think I'll take your advice and just stay off the scale until Monday. Maybe by then I'll get a happy surprise!!

I better start talking bc I know I will need some help. This is day four for me. Going well, not hungry but I forgot the drops before lunch today. I programmed my phone for a dinner reminder. How do you learn how to understNd the language on here?

Hey, Paleo! I just wanted to tell you that I've had two implants, and had very little pain or soreness at all from either one of them. Frankly, it was WAY easier than, say, a root canal. (They look great, too!)

I'm so glad that I wasn't the only one wondering what these meant.....=)
So, I'm done with loading now and today is my first day of VLCD. So far, so good. Not hungery, but a little bit of heartburn. Anyone have any experience with taking Prilosec or anything like that? Verbqueen, thanks for the info. They already tried an implant on this tooth about 3 months ago, but it got infected and they had to remove it. The infection actually ate away some of my jaw bone, so this time instead of drilling then are going to try to kind of pull the jawbone apart and wedge it in there. Gross, I know but it keeps them from drilling away anymore of my jaw! Ugh!! |
