You sure will! I decided to increase my fiber capsules since we don't have a lot of "waste" eating this way and it's definitely working. Congratulations to you!

Down another 1.5 this morning I am having a lot less hunger these first few days than I did in R1 - probably because I actually knew how to load this time!

How many fiber capsules do you take, what brand etc? Does this help you lose weight more easily or is this strictly to avoid constipation?
Any tips are greatly appreciated!

How did you load differently this time? I hope that I loaded okay, though alot of my calories have come from sugars and starches :blush: . I did try to get lots of high fat foods in that are low in carbs.

Down 2.8 lbs this am, a total of 7.6 lbs for 2 VLCD's! I gained 1.2 lbs my first day, then LOST 1.4 my 2nd (load days, I mean!). I am lucky in that I seem to only gain 1-2 lbs on load days, my first R1 I actually lost 1 lb overall! I was taking pure coconut oil pills, 8 + a day- I think that was the secret, as good coconut oil burns calories, even though it is a fat.

Welcome, jnaakins! If you look at the top of the posts in the HCG forum, under Stickeys, you will see Tips, etc for HCG. There are slightly different versions of HCGing that people follow - most follow the strict protocol of DR. SIMEONS method, some follow the OWL method, some juice it up and go Rogue, adding vegs, meats not approved in the Dr. Simeons method.

P2 is what is generally referred to as the 23 day round of taking the HCG hormone (2 days of loading with high fat foods & 21 days of Very Low Calorie Diet -VLCD. You can do a 6 week round of the hormone, but at the very least you should do a 23 day clean round of P2, then 3 weeks of P3 (Atkins like eating - no sugar and no starch), and P4 (slowly adding back sugar & starches) before you switch it up or go rogue (do as I say, not as I did! I did a 3 week P2, then a 2 week P3 - an aborted R2 of P2, then 2 1/2 mos of P4 - keeping to my last dose wt of my first round, I could not keep the 10 lb loss of my aborted R2, mostly because I didn't do a "set" of 3 weeks of P3).

The first few days are harder mentally than physically - or should be. If you are hungry, drink some green tea or chicken/beef broth. I take ginger and Yerba Mate pills for hunger, and potassium pills will help with that as well - or seems to do so for me. If you feel like you could gnaw through old boot leather and love it, you probably need to adjust your dose of HCG. My first week of R1 I was STARVING until I realized that I was overdosing myself with the pellets. I adjusted down, and my hunger became manageable. This round the hunger is not so bad, but seems to always be a low hum in the background.

Good luck, and if you encounter problems, before you quit, ask here and let someone else give you a possible answer that will allow you to continue. I lost 24 lbs my first 23 day round. This is worth it!

Thanks Julia for the explanation and advice. It is much appreciated! I have to admit I'm really scared to be as starving as I was last time I tried the drops (only lasted 4 days before I quit b/c of the hunger). But I think I understand the protocol better now and have gained invaluable support and confidence due to finding these forums!

I take Fiber Blend, the serving is 3-6 capsules per day and I've been taking six. I also drink a lot of water.

I'm just craving ANYTHING sweet or chocolate! I made this tonight, and it was delicious! I bought the Harvest foods brand of light frozen whipped topping (20 cals for 2 Tab), and some Alessi Biscotti Lady Fingers (30 cals each), which I found at a local health food store.

The whipped topping has a marsh-mellow like texture, which was great, and to it I added 1 tsp Hershey's cocoa & a dash of Stevia. Grind the Lady finger up and add to bottom, top and/or throughout, and wallah! Instant Parfait! Yummy, and a little high on the calorie count at about 80 or so (4 Tab of whipped topping - 40, Lady Finger - 30, and about 10 for the cocoa). But.... it was SO good!

Oh, I substituted the Lady finger for my bread stick.
