So if you stick to protein and a il cheese maybe it will work for you too.

I am down .8 this morning so only .2 above my ldw so in the last 4 days I have dropped 3 pounds, I feel so much better when I am in my window. I added in cottage cheese with apple sauce for my snacks in the morning and the afternoon, switched to chicken instead of beef for protein, I will add the beef back in this weekend to see if I have a problem with it.

Congrats to everyone who is losing, staying the same and hugs to the ones who are struggling.

I am a bit over my ldw window. I am having a bit of a RA flare and feeling swollen, which may also be contributing.

I go up 3 pounds with TOM, every month. That's why I have two set points. One regularly, and one starting 2 or 3 days before TOM until the last day. It's natural! I'm not here to fight nature.

egg day for me today. first CD since i started p3 on 7/3. i'm only 0.6 above my window.

what's frustrating is that i don't really understand why i am that far from LDW as i mostly eat meat, fat, 2 fruit servings a day. up until a few days ago, my weight was pretty stable. so not really sure what to think. i haven't been tracking as i don't want to be a slave to tracking the rest of my life. i can deal just fine with weighing everyday, but i want o be able to learn how to eat and stay in my window without having to write down every morsel that goes into my mouth.

have you ever gotten steaks from the store and once cooked, they tasted sweet? what's up with that? the seasonings dh uses do not have sugars in them, so pretty sure it isn't that. i had a lot of sirloin the other night and a little bit yesterday morning. something makes me wonder if it wasn't that sirloin that threw me over the edge of my window. i DID eat at buffalo wild wings last night, so that i'm not concerned about. i'm more scratching my head as to why i was so close to the top of my window BEFORE i ate at BWW eating only steak/burger and veggies??

have been drinking lots of water everyday.

Dazy, I agree about not wanting to be a slave to calorie counting, but sometimes if you have trouble stabilizing or are going out of your window, if you have that log, you can help figure out what might need to be changed. Calories could be getting away from you and you are eating too many, even if they are the right foods. Maybe it would be worth a 3 day "tracking" if you keep going up just to try to fine tune whats going wrong...

Questions to ask yourself... but it sounds to me like you're doing the right thing..
Any MSG in the spices?
The gain could be from 48 hours ago...
High glycemic veggies?
Not enough fat?

0.6 above sounds fine to me, I would ignore it and see if it levels out tomorrow. Or egg day it.

actually, very few veggies and LG ones. zucchini the other night otherwise, just lettuce.

fat has been pretty liberal.

thanks for the input, ladies.

I also have RA and when I have swollen joints it does add some water weight. That alone hasn't pushed me over my window yet though, if it did i'd probably do a correction day, unless I had a tremendous amount of fluid on a joint and could be sure that was the reason for such a gain. I know that I also gain several pounds water around tom so I just eat clean p3 style and make sure I stay within bmr during that time so I know "for sure" that the gain is from tom. YMMV but for me all water weight is gone a couple of days into tom so I don't bother with cd.

I ate restaurant food 3 times in my first week of R2P3 and my weight was off to the races after that
Seems like it all calms down if I stick to clean eating but it takes a while.
Glad you're in your window!

143.6 today.
I ate no sugar added butter pecan ice cream, wheat toast with lots of butter coffee with lots of cream and Cornish game hen yesterday and virtually no water...not in that order! Talk about pushing my luck! ( no Bernice for 2 days)

Well I haven't weighed in three days. I was on vacation in FL at the beach and the first night we were there my friends son got injured by a saltwater catfish. The past two days have been driving, pulling an all nighter at the hospital, and not eating much although what I did eat was P3. I am scared to death to see the scale in the morning :O

Well - we're here - no matter what happens.

My weight is up- and it's not much, but I FEEL big - and bloated. And I'm stressed out of my mind. Stress and weight are so related. Even though I ate P4 - I keep eating, (and drinking) more like I was a college kid. I wish my body would take another HCG round, but I KNOW it won't.

Checking in with a 0.4 lb gain today, putting me very near the top of my window. I am glad I did not go over that because I am not ready to do another CD at this point in time. I tried some sour cream at dinner and had trouble stopping at a reasonable amount, so that is a clue that I have to treat myself for sour cream in addition to cottage cheese. They're next on my list of foods to treat. I think most of this gain is due to swelling (water) from an allergic response, but will avoid dairy again today and see what tomorrow brings.

Happy Friday! We have gorgeous weather predicted here on the East coast - should be a wonderful weekend! I'm getting my head centered today - "switching the channel" so to speak. Thinking of the things I'm grateful for - the good things. Will keep my mind on the positive - because truly, there is a lot of it.

Woke up 2.8 over my set point. Not a surprise. I have put lots of carbs in lately and been eating like a college kid. Hubby leaves today for a week and I'm doing a steak day as well as planning on a clean eating week coming up.

I feel fat!

It's amazing how quickly you get used to that wonderful flat stomach feeling.

I'm dying to exercise - ride my bike - do a workout. But I know I can't right now due to illness stuff. Patient moderation.

I'd really like to take off a few pounds and have been fretting. I'm thinking of doing maintenance eating and then two low calorie/low fat days - around 1000 calories. (I'd prefer to do a round, but I can't). Just mulling that over - not sure what I'll do.

Happy weekend everyone!

This is how I felt on my P3s/P4s as well. I love the flat stomach feeling I have in P2, however it doesn't continue for me onto and into P3 even

Hey Red. Good plan on steak and clean eating. Have you looked into JUDDD? It kind of sounds like what you are contemplating. Might be a little rogue with hcg but I think some on the alternative thread are doing ok with it. Just a thought...

Down 2.2 this morning so I was still obviously holding on to water from the muscle soreness as a result of that yoga class Monday. Not super light on calories yesterday (~2000) so happy again that I can eat a relatively normal amount and still maintain. This puts me back to where I was pre-vacation at 152.9. It's nice to see that whoosh come along once in a while. Off to do a little cardio before settling in to my work-from-home day today. In case you haven't heard, it's CARMAGEDDON today here in LA!
