Hello everyone. Haven't checked in for a few days. I am on VLCD11 and down 13 lbs. I need to take measurements for week 2 still. I am going to do 3 more weeks of P2, then switch to P3 for my HS reunion. Since I only have 3 weeks left, I am interested to know if any of you have a certain menu that seems to yield the best losses for you. If so, I'd love to know what they are. Thanks, and have a great weekend.

all the time!! you should see the faces at the dollar tree when i walk out of there with 10 of them at a time! did you have a prescription?? how did she get the RX HCG? rx will turn a PG test faster than the NORMAL WAY when it is good and as it get older the line become fainter and nonexistant when it is no longer good so sorry this happened to you my last big order the whole batch was bad and i haven't contacted them about replacing it probably too late now UGH

nope doesn't matter i use those ancient cheapo tests from the dollar tree and works just fine there is QUITE enough in the RX mix to detect and detect fast yea always drops LOL not the regular way

These past two days have not been good for me. I'm afraid at what the scale may say. Also, I have been such a crapapple! My poor husband! TOM doesn't usually have that effect on me.

I hope this trend continues for a little while, since today is VLCD 12 and I've only lost 4.6 lbs of load weight.

All that lettuce was hard on my stomach, so I would really rather have a cooked vegetable. Has anyone done well using green beans or zucchini? I know it's rogue but if it works that's ok with me!

Feel better soon, Raven, and thanks everyone for the input on the PG test (it was a "Five days before your missed period" test) and the ovulation question - interesting to know.

I hope everyone has a great Saturday!

WORST PERIOD EVER! No loss today, which I expected. The mega migraines are awful and just flush over me quite suddenly and my whole face goes numb. I have not had them this bad since before my second child was born (8 years).

I also have a wicked raised, burning, red rash on the inside of my arms. If it doesn't subside soon, I will have to stop the drops because they are the only new thing I have started recently. I am going crazy from the itchiness and burning. I can't have poison ivy because I have not been in the garden.

Either I am allergic to baby oil, which I have stopped using, but it's not helping so far OR it's the hHCG?

Any ideas? I may have to stop. I hate my body. I just hate it.

are you taking the one with the amino acids in it?/ could be a reaction to one of them i know you aren't supposed to take them if you are prone to cold sores maybe it is something like that?/

oh and have you been taking extra niacin?? a niacin flush can have similar symptoms

No, it's just plain HCG, with some b12 and some magnesium and phosphorus. I was taking (before the diet) 5 hour energy and this not a niacin flush.

I actually believe because of the location, that it's a hyper reaction to sun exposure caused by the drops. The one on my right arm is worse and that arm was in the sun while I was in the car, passenger side, taking a nap during lunch. The left arm is less because it got less sun while I was on the driver side driving. Today, I hung laundry out to dry and so, my arms got exposed to sun again. The rash got much worse. I slathered sun block on and then went out later to clean up the pool for the kids; now, the rash is at maximum irritation. Really raw and screaming.

I talked to hubby, who is doing this with me, and asked him if had any itchiness. He showed me to red patches on the wrists and thumbside of the hand. Just the area that is exposed to the sun when HE is driving the car.

When I was pregnant my doctor warned me about going in the sun because pregnancy caused hyper reactions to exposure and could cause permanent blemishes. But, what huge pg woman wants to show her body on a beach? Not me.

I think I am going to put my little experiment on hold until next spring (I start nursing school this fall and I don't want to be all fuzzy brained like I am now). Do it while the whether is still cool and we are still in long sleeves.

For now, I will keep my calories down to 1100 and keep away from junk. Eat lean proteins and nutrient rich veggies. A low cal Atkins, I guess.

My husband just said, "This diet taught me to cherish food". LOL!

Hugs to all of you and my deepest prayers for good steady losses and achievement of your goals. I am really bummed out. ON the other hand, I really miss my eggs for breakfast.

Hugs again.

Yes, that's melasma, and it's only permanent in that if you are prone to the excess hormone (I think it's estrogen) you will continue to have it. I have suffered since the birth of my last child, but not anymore thanks to the weight loss. I didn't have a bad case, but my cheeks always looked "dirty" in summertime. I think your rash is something else entirely (well not melasma since it's estrogen related), and it's quite strange your DH has one too. I would throw out those drops you have and not use them again.

I'm thinking in addition to whatever reaction you are having to your drops, that the excess hormones released from the weight you have lost are triggering the bad period and migraines. Every migraine I've ever had only happened on certain parts of my cycles. I have no advice, but did want to mention that my first cycle last year on the shots was truly horrible, but every cycle thereafter has gotten gentler/easier.

I have to say I'm worried that my 11 yo had a migraine last night. They watched Harry Potter, and when she came out of the theater, the sunlight immediately gave her a headache. When she was home, she complained of the pain and then got nauseous (that's how they hit me). She vomited poor thing No aura though, so maybe not. I always have stained glass window panes floating before my eyes a couple hours before a migraine.

Down .6. Looks like it'll be awhile before I work through this ovulation gain. At least the scale is moving now though!

Migranes with my period this week too, Buttercup. I wonder if Hcg has something to do with it if you are prone to them. Also, my mood this weekend has been terrible. Poor hubby!

Another 1lb loss for me today on VLCD10! Cardio never fails me. I did cardio yesterday and had an extra serving of protein because I was starving although I was worried about the consequences.

I followed protocol exactly even though I was hungry and had a very light/low cal shrimp dinner. I'm happy with results thus far.

Good morning everybody! (Sunday already?!) Down 1.6 today! Finally under my preload weight - only by that 1.6 but I'll take it (today is VLCD 13, for goodness sake!).

Yesterday we had a big picnic for my son's taekwando studio; I took a baggie of chicken and a little can of green bean (40 calories for the whole can). No one said anything about my weird lunch and I was able to resist temptation. Our power went out at 10.20 yesterday morning and didn't come back on til 10 las tnight, so we went to Chili's for dinner. Our server said I would have to wait for hem to defrost an unmarinated chicken breast and my family was hungry, so I had the small top sirloin with broccoli. Ordered it with a box, immediately put half away and ate the rest, and still had a loss today. I am thrilled.

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend - they go by so fast...

Good morning everyone. I have a question for those that eat the walden Farms products. What are the best ones, and do you lose them almost daily? Has it affected your losses? I am at the point where I am so sick of chicken, fish, and shrimp that I'd almost rather not eat. Maybe the Walden Farms will help???

I haven't had a good loss this time, but last time I did well (15 lbs in 21 days) and I used Walden Farms. A lot of people here don't like them, but I like the 1000 Island (put it over lettuce and hamburger meat and it's like the "Big Mac in a Bowl" LC recipe); I like the bleu cheese dip over lettuce and chicken, and I also like the bbq sauces. I did not like the bacon or ranch dips, and I thought the peanut butter spread was the worst thing ever. Just my opinion.

Down only .2 this morning. I haven't had a visit from bernice since Tuesday so that could be the problem along with my surgery on Thursday. I guess I'll keep taking my magnesium and hope for the best.

I am jumping on the computer before we head out to the wineries. I didn't weigh myself this morning because I didn't have the stomach for it. Yesterday was a complete wash. We ended up at an East African restaurant for lunch and it all went downhill (eating wise) from there.

I am just brushing it off as a learning experience and am totally gungho to stay on program today. The restaurant we are going to is totally protocol friendly and I have my sliced apples to help me through the day before lunch and inbetween dinner.

I hope you are all having a great weekend!!!

Twinsies again! I lost another 1 lb. -- although I cannot credit cardio for it b/c I didn't do any I went to a concert and had a blast -- lovely to wake up to a 1 lb. loss. I am 13.2 lbs. away from my BIG GOAL that I never thought I'd reach! So excited!

Have a great day everyone!

Take care, Buttercup and I hope you can find a plan that works for you!

Have a blast at the wineries, Lidrew! I lived up there for ages and loved, loved, loved going wine tasting (even though I know you -- for some crazy reason -- don't )

Just did my measurements for the week. It is week 2 for me. Here are my losses:
Bust -2
Waist-2
Hips -2

Only a 4 pound loss this week, but I must be losing because of the inches.

For the first 2 weeks that is a total of -4 from the bust, -5 from the waist, and -4 from the hips. So far down 13 pounds and on VLCD 12.

Hey gals, checking in. I ended up losing 2.4lbs total this week. Eh. Not awesome, but it seems like a lot of us are seeing a slow down during week 2. Frustrating! Hopefully we'll pick up again next week! I'm plodding along. Can't wait to see the 120's on the scale....it's been a long time!

AWESOME! Frankly, who cares what the SCALE says (I know -- I care too, but really what does it matter?). No one can see your scale weight. If you are losing inches, you are SHRINKING -- and that's all you, or anyone else, can see.

Put that in perspective...my last 52 day round, I only lost 1/2 inch bust, one inch waist, and 1 inch hips. And so far, you have lost more weight in the last week than I have this entire round.

So those numbers, both for pounds lost and inches lost this week, are absolutely AMAZING!

Have a great day everyone!

Take care, Buttercup and I hope you can find a plan that works for you!

Have a blast at the wineries, Lidrew! I lived up there for ages and loved, loved, loved going wine tasting (even though I know you -- for some crazy reason -- don't )
WOOHOO! You and I = high five, baby!! You did do cardio, silly. Concerts are considered cardio!!

Yes, week two is always slow. I remember seeing that a lot during my first round. It'll pick back up on week 3
