I need to take it easy. I will continue lighter cardio, but I must remember I have to slow down on the lifting until P3. Lifting makes me feel like a champ, though :cries: Exercising really does wonders for my emotions and self-confidence (even when I don't lose on the scale) *sigh*
You are a (much) younger me. I have a lot of my ego bound up in athleticism. It really humbles me to feel weak. My ego is taking a beating this week! I did another walk this morning. If I was eating normally, I would be walk/running about 7 miles and feeling pretty danged good when I got done. At this point, walking 3 miles in the humidity is kicking my backside and it really ticks me off. I think I need to get over myself a little bit I am going to continue to work out, but I solemnly swear that if I feel like cr*p I'm going to let myself be okay with that. When I get to P3, I'll kick some tail again. I just don't want to lose too much ground during this phase.

Ready to throw in the towel

Congratulations to everyone who is losing! And good luck on your camping trip, Kay! (I teach, too - dieting is much easier without all that junk in the teacher's lounge!)

I am at my wits end. Down 0.2 today - VLCD10 and I am still .2 above my preload weight. Yesterday I tried to shake things up by using 100 calorie protein shakes. (100 cals, 4 carbs, 2.5 grams of fat, 15 grams of protein, milk free.) I had four of them during the day then had a bowl of zucchini and some grissini because I really needed to actually "eat" something. I had a bit too much grissini but I had a total of 520 calories for the day. I am injecting in the morning and I added drops in the afternoon and evening because of hunger issues. I had one real cheat on VLCD 3 (carb smart ice cream bar and an individual sized bag of chips) but other than that I've been clean. The last two times I did this (two years ago and one year ago) I lost 13 and 15 pounds respectively in a 3 week round. I don't understand what's different. I'm not eating fruit because I'm diabetic. Plain old low carb wasn't working for me. Surgery isn't an option. I just feel like quitting...and then I'll be even more depressed and unhappy.

Doxie, I'm so sorry you're having such an awful go of it! I don't have enough knowledge to help you, but bless your heart, I sure feel for you. Is there any possibility your HCG is not okay? I've heard of "bad batches"....and it sure doesn't sound like it is doing what it is supposed to do.

And to me, thats all the more reason to do it. One, you will stay healthier, no matter what, but two... it makes you feel good... why not do it then? It might take a tiny bit longer on the scale, but your health and emotions benefit even more!!

Doxie, I so so so know how you are feeling!! I have been here so many times its not funny. I am a slower loser overall, and the only times I lose quick or any "amount" is when I go up 10 lbs in 1 day... I know its hard, but try to stick with it, and you will probably see a swoosh.. TMI, but are you "going" regularly? That can make a difference. I also found with me, (mind I do exercise alot) but if i increased my proteins more and ate closer to 600-650 I would lose a bit better... so many just increasing your protein, or adding a "snack" in the morning of 100-150 calories of Fat free yogurt, or extra protein would help kick in the losses. Might be worth trying if you are frustrated! Hugs!!!

Can we help?

Can you post what your last week's diet has been like? I think the shakes are supposed to be on a strict protocol w/no grassini or veggies in addition to them, but I could be wrong.

Maybe we could spot a problem that you can't pinpoint. It helps so much when you eliminate that one thing that's holding you back. Do not quit!! Keep fighting. I know we all want daily results, but the big picture is what you've lost in the total of 30-40 days. Really, that's all that matters - not the daily battle fluctuations

Wow, sorry you're having such a bad round! My only advice...if you are quitting, go straight to P3 and attempt the stabilization for 3-6 weeks. It may do something for you to help bump up the metabolism.

So sorry... I could only lose .2 per day from January to May...and I think all I really needed was an extended P3 (instead of my 2 week cycling back to P2). I don't know if any of that would apply to you, but just wanted to share it!

I'm off to go camping...going to stick as close to P2 foods as possible, but not going to stress about amounts. (I'm NOT taking my food scale!) I also plan on enjoying a fabulous breakfast burrito tomorrow morning--minus the tortilla. My favorite camping breakfast!

Have a really lovely weekend, ladies! Say a little prayer that I return from camping w/o any gain!

You should do a correction day asap!!! B/c in my experience, pizza will show up as more of a gain on day 2. I would do the correction day starting tomorrow a.m.

Down 1lb this morning; now 169#. Yay. I'll take ANY movement downward.
Hubby had a bad day today, but he didn't cave in. Yay.

Doxie, maybe you need to change your spacing of your HCG dosages, and do strict protocol (if you haven't already). You'd have to have some movement downward even if you were just doing 500 cal a day. If you aren't then have you had a very thorough blood work up?

CDs are for P3, not P2. In P2 we do an apple day if we are stalled for 4+ days, which you are not. That said, as you know, you are not helping things along here, and you may end up gaining if you continue to take hcg and eat high calories. You are NOT the only one who has gone off the rails though -- it has happened to a lot of us (I ate 3 handfuls of almonds one day on my first round -- just couldn't seem to stop myself). If I were you, I would just drink lots of water w/lemon & eat clean P2 foods from here on out. Expect a gain, and just eat clean. If you don't have a gain, be thrilled that you pulled one over on your body but don't take that as a sign that you can continually cheat. You are only cheating yourself of weight loss! You can do this, sister!

I bought a pregnancy test today and I will test my hcg in the morning when I go to inject...kind of thinking about going back to just drops since everyone else here seems to be having so much more success. AND, I think you're right - OWL may be too flexible for me. Tomorrow I'm going to try a very strict protocol (chicken and lettuce, although I think I may use a little Walden Farms; it's never hurt me before), no grains, and one piece of fruit only if I'm going to cave otherwise. I don't like strawberries (weird, I know) and I heard oranges stall people, so if I have to I will eat an apple. I will try more water and not even the one diet soda I was having each day. If a couple days of that doesn't fo it, the only other thing I can think of is not taking my insulin...totally at the end of my rope. Thank you, everyone, for the sympathy and advice!

WHOOA! Woke up to a 1.8 gain. Maybe it's ovulation, maybe it's lack of Bernice. My hunger Mon-Wed might be explained by the ovulation - it seems to hit me more now than it used to. But how super annoying! I was such a "good" girl yesterday, too!

I still feel like I'm losing, so I will keep on, keepin on.

Oh Z, I forgot to take TOM into consideration! It's this weekend for me. So, I guess that explains the -.2 today. This is going to be a long 30 days if things don't pick up.... That first week spoiled me!

Doxie, good luck to you with the test. I hope it's the hcg. If not, don't worry, you'll get it figured out. It's not scientifically possible to not lose on 500 calories a day. Hang in there.

Mochi, Z gave you good advice. Please take it.

Sorry for the gain Paula, but love your attitude. A whoosh is just around the corner!

Keep up the good work girls!!

Unreal. No loss. Same exact weight as yesterday and the day before down to the ounce.

It's either the weight lifting from Tuesday night (which was intense as usual). Or that damn half and half. I will eliminate half and half today bc it was def nothing else from the menu. Ugh!

I'll keep trucking, ladies! I am a brick wall and this thing will not tear me down. I will get those pounds down

down 1 lb this morning for a total of 16.5 in 18 days. 3 inches off bust and 3 inches off waist, 1 from hips (I'm booby, not hippy, so this is great news).

Today I pack everything up for our week away and say a few prayers that I'm able to stay on plan because I'm liking the results so far!

Have a great weekend and next week everybody! Thanks for the encouragement. I'll let you know how it went after it goes

I am up 1.0 this morning.

I am coming up on TOM so that might have something to do with it. I also ate some pickles last night and then didn't drink any water after, so I am thinking that didn't help.

I am SO trying to keep in mind that it's all part of the process and will come right back off.

Morning ladies, lots of ups and downs this morning!! I am in the up group, by 0.2... boo! I hope it goes tomorrow with some extra to make up for it.

Gooey, I agree with Z, you cannot do CDs on P2, so just eat clean and try not to cheat, I know its hard! I am the queen of cheating, but once I start, I usually derail myself right off the program. Hang tight, you can do it!!

Everyone else, good job or hugs... we will prevail!! Have a great Friday and eat clean this weekend!!

I have a TOM question, ladies. (Up 1.2 today, btw...sigh.) I don't actually have periods anymore because I had the Nova Sure procedure four years ago. I also had my tubes tied after my last child so I'm guessing I don't ovulate but I did have the blood test recently to check for the markers of menopause and the dr. said I have NO signs of starting yet. So all that being said, does my body still respond each month as if Tom was coming? or no? Just wondering what you think...

Doxie--i bet you ARE still ovulating if your not in menopause yet. I had my tubal after my last child too, but i still ovulate every single month like clockwork. I can feel it on either side and i get the ovulation cervical mucus--(sorry to be gross here, but CM is a big indicator of regular ovulation-so had to put it out there)
Im seriously thinking of having the Novasure, too. How was recovery?

On a side note--test your RX asap! I think you MUST have a bad batch of HCG.
