Hi girls,

I didn't want you to think I'd dropped off the planet (or off plan) but I'm staying off the computer for the most part for a few days b/c I had laser eye surgery and I just want to rest my eyes a bit. I'm still on plan, I had a .4 loss yesterday but nothing today, but it's also TOM and I ate too much yesterday, so I'm not at all surprised by the no loss.

My vision is PERFECT now: 20/15 (was 20/400) just one day after the surgery, but I want to rest up a bit so I'll be back to check in tomorrow or the next day. Happy losing!

No loss for me again today, so I'm going to experiment with 100 calorie protein shakes - five of them, evenly spaced out - and see what happens. Congrats to everybody for staying strong...enjoy the day!

I'm down .4 lb today, which make sense since I ate a bit more 8 oz of meat yesterday. For those who suffer from water retention--> no loss, why don't you try drinking lemon water. Space it out and drink it all day. I find that I lost more on days that I actually remember to drink it. ;>

Raven, prayers to you for your surgery. My co-workers' wife just went through this.
I have implants and they are heavy; not sure how they compare to the temporary stretchers they use after mastectomies. They (implants )feel a bit strange for a while, but now they are like my own girls.

Lost 2lbs this morning again - 170#. Was a rough day yesterday. Very rough.

Today I tried changing how I dosed my drops and it was a bit better. I also went back to spinach rather than romaine lettuce. Seems to fill me better. Spacing my drops over shorter time periods but less off them has really seemed to help. I didn't have that stomach churning hunger pain all day today like I did yesterday.

Gooey, big lemon water fan here too. It's my saving grace in the morning. Could not have too much today because I made the HCG chicken piccatta, so it ate up my lemon allowance for the day.

Neck is still itchy, but I have been putting lotion and aloe on it and it's not as bad. I can stand not putting lotion on some parts of my body but baby oils just don't cut it for 40+ skin.

Happy losses! Hang tuff!

SOS! GUYS, I cheated today. I don't know why but I was hungry and had a very intense craving for meat. I ate some steak and chicken (which is way over my daily allowance) and still craved more so I had an extra apple to cut down the craving. What's going on? Should I increase the pellet dose.
I had mild hunger and craving the last two days too but I was able to power through and ignore it. I just started training at my new job the past 3 days so I had to wake up much earlier. Could that be why? Because I take my drop further apart the past 3 days because of the timeframe.

Hey Gooey! I don't remember how you were spacing your meals, but you might try having one of your fruit servings for breakfast since you are waking up earlier. That is what I had to do during the school year since I teach and was up at 5:15 every morning. (Summer is MUCH easier!) Also, it isn't like you ate a plate full of brownies or anything. At worst, you might not show a loss tomorrow, but I would doubt that you have a gain. It'll be ok! (I accidently ate an extra apple today b/c I forgot that I had already eaten a whole one earlier...oops!)

Down .4 this morning. It's not much, but since I've had a loss every day since Day 1, I won't complain.

Hang in there girls. For a lot of us, this is life changing. Enjoy the journey!

Great losses everyone!

Down 0, but was expecting it. I'm going to switch over to drops only for the rest of the round...I'm really not happy with my pellets lately.

VLCD 10, no loss from yesterday, still 149, but under 150, so I'll take it.

I'm off to go camping...going to stick as close to P2 foods as possible, but not going to stress about amounts. (I'm NOT taking my food scale!) I also plan on enjoying a fabulous breakfast burrito tomorrow morning--minus the tortilla. My favorite camping breakfast!

Have a really lovely weekend, ladies! Say a little prayer that I return from camping w/o any gain!

Hey gals...down .4 to 132 today. TMI here-I haven't pooped in about 5 days! it's probably affecting my losses, honestly. I'm rogue and i've been planning to go "off" the diet to eat a small bag of movie popcorn at Harry Potter tonight...at this point, the fiber and fat will probably do my digestive tract lots of good!

Nothing for me today (VLCD 7) - 0 loss. But, I did some weight lifting yesterday and I'm a bit sore. I think it might have to do with muscle water retention. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day on the scale

Belle, that's so funny, I plan on taking a bag of 100 calorie popcorn to Harry Potter on Saturday! Have you tried taking magnesium? I hear that helps. A hot cup of coffee in the morning has been my friend in that area.

Yeah, I've read that exercise will definitely slow your losses, so I'm staying away. There is plenty of time for that on P3! Hopefully you see a whoosh tomorrow!

have you tried Magnesium? I rarely do a P2 round without it. 400 mg twice a day up to 4 pills a day until you get movement and then drop back down... or some use smooth move tea instead... that will help you while in P2 and then most stop it when they move on to P3...

AS for me, down 0.6 this morning with my increased calories still, so I will take it! I will try again today and see what happens! Still doing my injections as well... so (knock on wood) seems to be working for me!

Balance, actually lots of times it helps the losses rather than hinders them. Just not weight lifting type of things, which then rips the muscles and they need to hold water to repair, but cardio and such, beneficial for losing weight!! just my opinion of course...

I totally agree! Cardio def. speeds your losses- lifting not so much. But I'm not willing to lose my muscle, so I kept regimen. I wasn't so surprised this morning at no loss.

So it is ok to do cardio? Actually though, cardio doesn't necessarily make me lose.

I found this on a google search and I've read it before:

Quote:
The key here is moderation and common sense. Because of how the HCG Diet work in the body through Ketosis though you will not feel hungry you must remember that you are on a very limited caloric intake that is simply not enough to support an intense workout. Over exercising during the diet can force your body into Starvation Mode despite the benefits of the HCG itself.

Dieters who insist on incorporating a workout while on the HCG diet could significantly decrease their weight loss. While limited amounts of exercise are okay (20 minutes of walking or other light cardio, for instance) intense workouts just aren’t supportable on the HCG Diet.
So it sounds like light exercise is ok, but since that doesn't do anything for me, I'd rather just wait to P3. I wish you guys lots of luck with it though!

Of course, its all personal preference to be sure! I feel amazing when I exercise, so I do it for that reason if nothing else... makes me eat better all day too. I am less tempted to eat bad if I ran that morning!

Yes, I do a light routine. I wall sit for 3-4 minutes (not all at once, not that strong), do two leg machines and one arm machine on the bowflex, and sometimes some modified pushups (thanks to minimonkey's encouragement). Definitely not enough to cause water retention, but I do think it helps retain muscle during weight loss. I also swim around my pool for 15 minutes or so. I am so not hard core... I have trouble building muscle, so I think retaining what I've got is really important.

On the days I am on my feet all day for work....I generally have a fantastic loss the next day. I'm guessing it's 8-10 miles of walking those days. I generally need a few hundred extra calories on those days though to carry me through.

Thanks for posting this and reminding me. To be honest, I did a killer spinning class on Tuesday night and I couldn't fight through it - although my body actually went through the motions. I had literally no more energy to give, and I *know* it was due to very low calorie dieting. Otherwise, I would have been able to push through with endorphins and such.

I need to take it easy. I will continue lighter cardio, but I must remember I have to slow down on the lifting until P3. Lifting makes me feel like a champ, though :cries: Exercising really does wonders for my emotions and self-confidence (even when I don't lose on the scale) *sigh*
